OCOEE, Fla. -- Ocoee police are searching for two armed robbers after they took a civilian hostage while holding up bank.

Police responded to the Washington Mutual Bank located at 1784 East Silver Star Road after receiving a call about an armed robbery shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday.

According to employees, two black men entered the bank and took a civilian hostage as a customer attempted to leave the bank in order to prevent the customer from alerting police.

According to surveillance footage, both men were
wearing ski masks and gloves.

Police said both suspects were armed -- one carried a small automatic rifle and the other had a silver handgun.

According to the police report, the suspect with the handgun pointed the weapon at a bank employee and ordered everyone to the ground. The suspects then demanded money and received $1,000.

The two then fled the scene in a red pickup truck.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the two men.

Both suspects are described as black men with medium builds and were estimated to be between 5 feet 5 inches tall and 5 feet 7 inches tall. The robber with the handgun was last seen wearing a dark shirt, blue jean shorts and black sneakers. The rifle-wielding robber was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark blue jeans and tan desert military boots. Both are pictured.

Jackson Police are looking for a female suspect that robbed the Trustmark Bank on Robinson Road this morning.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 AM when a black female entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. Witnesses describe the female as wearing a green army fatigue type of jacket.

Police believe the suspect left the bank in a two tone green and silver SUV, possibly a GMC Yukon or a Chevy Tahoe.

Police hunt for Easton bank robbery suspect

Police are searching for a Whitehall man they suspect robbed an Easton bank on Friday morning.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Markeith Webb, 33, of 2 Maryland Circle. Webb is wantedon robbery and aggravated assault charges.

Police said Webb was involved in Friday's armed robbery of the Lafayette Ambassador Bank at 280 Line St. Police said Webb wore a mask and vaulted over the counter of the bank just before 11 a.m.

Police said a dye pack hidden inside one of the bundles of cash exploded.

Police said Webb is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots Webb should immediately call 911, Gerould said.

MAYFIELD - A man robbed the Mayfield branch office of Pennstar Bank of an undetermined amount of cash Tuesday before fleeing on foot.

The suspect was described by police as a black man, 28 to 35 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 160 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing a black baseball-style cap with a white emblem on the front, a charcoal-gray hoodie, blue jeans and sunglasses.

TCF bank branch in Burbank robbed

Police are investigating a robbery Tuesday morning at a southwest suburban bank.

The robbery happened around 9:33 a.m. at the TCF National Bank branch inside the Jewel Osco on the 7900 block of South Cicero Avenue in Burbank, according to Burbank police Capt. Joe Ford.

The robber entered the store, walked up to a bank teller and displayed a handwritten note demanding money, according to a release from police. The teller gave the robber more than $700 and he fled on foot.

Witnesses described the robber as a black male with a heavy build, about 35 and 6 feet to 6-foot-2, the release said. He was wearing a black “dew ragâ┚¬ cloth on his head, with a blue shirt
and faded jeans.

No weapon was displayed.

Jackson bank robbery suspect arrested

A 38-year-old woman suspecting of robbing a Jackson bank turned herself in to police today.

Kimberly Michelle Reed-Parker is charged with robbery in connect with the Friday hold up of the Trustmark Bank at 2516 Robinson Road.

Police said a female entered the bank Friday morning and handed the teller a note. She left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber had motioned that she had a weapon, police spokesman Lt. Jeffery Scott said.

Video surveillance captured the robbery.

Police said they have not recovered the money nor the SUV.

Man robs Racine bank

A lone man robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Racine of an undetermined amount of money on Saturday afternoon.

According to Racine police, a black man walked into the bank at 1700 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive about 3:30 p.m. and demanded money. He did not show any weapon. As a teller was complying, the man became upset, reached across the counter, grabbed an unknown amount of cash, and fled.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.

Bank In Saginaw Robbed; Person Sought

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Police in Saginaw are investigating a bank robbery at a Citizen’s Bank.

It happened just after 9 a.m. at 829 Gratiot Avenue.

The robbery caused the bank to shut down temporarily and resurrected bad memories for a few businesses nearby.

Danny Kobe runs Viper Communications, right across the street from the Citizen’s Bank. His store was robbed just six months ago.

While police have yet to identify the Citizen’s robber, they said they’re already hot on his trail.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his 30s, standing between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches
with a medium build.

The man was also last seen wearing blue jeans. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers.

Authorities did say the suspect was caught on the bank’s surveillance cameras.

No one was injured during the holdup and it is unknown how much money the robber got away with.

Easton bank robbery suspect captured

A 33-year-old Whitehall Township man named last week as a suspect in the June 5 armed robbery of Lafayette Ambassador Bank in Easton is in jail today under $100,000 bail.

The Northampton County Sheriff's Department and Colonial Regional Police Department apprehended Markeith Webb of Maryland Circle yesterday, and he was turned over to Easton Police Department, according to a news release from Easton police.

Webb is charged with robbery and aggravated assault.

Webb allegedly entered the Lafayette Ambassador Bank in the 200 block of Line Street at 10:55 a.m. wearing a mask while there were customers and employees in the bank. He vaulted over the bank counter, shouted threats and obscenities and showed a gun before fleei
ng with cash. Police did not release the amount of cash taken from the bank, but a dye pack hidden in one of the bundles exploded.

Suspects sought in afternoon bank robbery

Indianapolis - Police are searching for suspects in an afternoon bank robbery on the west side.

Shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday, a suspect displayed a weapon at the Old National Bank inside the Kroger store at 5615 W. 38th Street, threw a bag on the counter and demanded money. The suspect then ran from the bank with two other suspects who were waiting before fleeing the scene in a maroon SUV.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville police have asked for the public's help finding a man who robbed a bank near Regency.

The robbery took place Tuesday afternoon at the First Guaranty Bank in the 9000 block of Hutchinson Park Drive.

Police said the thief had a note and then pulled a gun on a teller.

According to police, the man grabbed some cash and ran to a nearby parking lot.

Police said the robber dropped some of the money as he fled, but they said most of it has been recovered.

Wednesday afternoon, investigators released a surveillance phot
o of the robber.

HOUSTON -- Two men are wanted in connection with the robbery of a southwest Houston bank, KPRC Local 2 reported.

FBI officials said the men held up the Woodforest Bank in the 11200 block of South Gessner Drive at about 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Investigators said the men approached the teller counter with deposit slips, as if they were going to make a transaction.

One of the men pulled out a semiautomatic pistol and demanded cash, detectives said.

The teller complied with the robbers' demands.

Detectives said the armed man is
black, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall, 230 to 250 pounds, and clean-shaven with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a blue bandana on his head with a black baseball cap with a white emblem, a long-sleeved blue work shirt and brown sunglasses with gold trim.

The second man was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall with a skinny build, dark complexion and a goatee. He was last seen wearing dark blue coveralls, black work boots, a black baseball cap and sunglasses.

Police want help finding bank robbery suspook

Akron police are asking for the public's help in finding the woman they believed might be responsible for the robbery of three banks within 35 minutes last week.

Lt. Rick Edwards said the robber has been identified as Charity Brown based on numerous phone tips called into the department.

She was out on bond when the robberies occurred on Monday afternoon at the First Merit Bank at 727 N. Main St., Charter One bank at 333 S. Broadway and BFG Federal Credit Union at 445 S. Main St.

Brown is described as black, 4-foot-9 and weighing about 170 pounds, according to police.

CHARLOTTE, NC - Police officers nabbed a bank robber just as he was walking into a public library in north Charlotte Friday morning.

The robbery occurred at the Wachovia located at 4111 North Tryon Street.

According to the FBI, Herbert Anthony Bines, 52, handed a teller a note demanding money.

He left the bank and walked across the street to a public library.

Bines didn't realize a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department precinct was located in the same building as the library. (D'oh!)[/

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two men forced employees and customers to the floor during a robbery Friday morning near the Country Club Plaza.

Robber hits Martinsburg bank this morning

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Martinsburg City Police are looking for a man who robbed the First United Bank & Trust at 980 Foxcroft Ave. in Martinsburg this morning.

Officers responded to the bank at about 9 a.m., Detective Scott Doyle said in a news release.

The robber went into the bank, and presented a note demanding money, officers said. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash and made his getaway on foot, police said.

The robber was described as black, about 5 feet 6 or 5 feet 7 inches tall, in his early to mid-30s, Doyle said. The man had a slender build and was wearing a b

HOUSTON -- A man had to go to three tellers before he was able to successfully rob a bank on Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

FBI officials said the man robbed the Chase Bank in the 7800 block of Long Point Road at about 11:30 a.m.

Investigators said the man approached a teller, showed a pistol in his waistband and demanded cash. The teller told the man that there was no money in the drawer.

The man went to another teller, who also told him there was no money in the drawer, officials said.

Detectives said the man spot
ted a teller in the midst of a transaction and snatched the cash out of the teller's hand.

The man fled the bank on foot, officials said.

The man was described as black, 28 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 to 180 pounds with a dark complexion and mustache. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved khaki button-down shirt and carrying a black semiautomatic weapon.

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police have released surveillance pictures of a man who demanded money at a Wachovia Bank early Tuesday.

According to the Miami Police Department, at approximately 11:20 a.m. a man entered a Wachovia Bank, located at 169 SW 8 St., and approached a teller and handed her a demand letter. The teller complied with his demands by handing him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled on foot eastbound from the location.

The suspect is described as a slim black male, 6 feet tall. At the time of the robbery, he wore camouflage pants, a yellow shirt and a black skully cap.

Police released this surveillance image showing the robber who hit the Wachovia Bank on Baymeadows Road on Tuesday afternoon.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for a man who held up a Southside bank on Tuesday afternoon.

A robber carrying a bag walked into the Wachovia branch at 9700 Baymeadows Road at 2:15 p.m. and passed the teller a note demanding money. The note also said the man had a gun, but was not shown.

Bank employees said a dye pack exploded on the suspect as he was running out.


Police released an image of the robber recorded by a bank surveillance camera.
