FBI Searches For Bank Bandit In Pink Dress

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - The FBI is asking for help to identify a cross-dressing bandit who robbed a northwest suburban bank branch last month.

The man wore a black and pink dress, pink woman's wide-brimmed sun hat, long white cloth gloves and white sandals when he robbed the MB Financial Bank branch at 1014 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge, according to a release from the Chicago FBI. The robbery occurred about 6:50 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Witnesses said the cross-dressing bandit entered the bank carrying an oversized black purse and handgun and loudly announced the robbery, demanding cash from the vault.

The robber in a dress forced an employee to place a wad of cash into a plastic shopping bag, the release said.

After getting the money, the robber herded two bank employees and one customer into a bathroom and used plastic zip-ties to bind their hands behind their backs. Witnesses told authorities the robber had a calm and methodical demeanor throughout the robbery.

The suspect, regarded as armed and dangerous, is described as a black man, believed to be about 25, 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds.

Dublin police are searching for a man who robbed a US Bank branch located in a grocery store.

On Sept. 16 at 10:55 a.m. an unknown man walked into a Safeway store at 7499 Dublin Blvd. and approached the US Bank counter located within the store, police said.

The bank teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he left the store on foot, police said.

No weapon was seen.

The man is described as a light skinned, black male adult, about 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds, police said.

The man was wearing a black San Francisco Giants baseball style hat, a red USC pullover hooded sweatshirt, black wraparound sunglasses, black gloves and black pants, police said.

The man appeared to have a gap in his upper row of teeth and stuttered when he spoke.

Police Ask Public To Help Identify Bank Robber

LA MESA, Calif. -- A gunman robbed a banking office inside an East County supermarket Monday afternoon.

The thief displayed a pistol tucked in his waistband while demanding cash from a teller at the Wells Fargo satellite office inside the Ralph's store in the 8800 block of Grossmont Boulevard in La Mesa about 3 p.m., according to police.

The bandit, who appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old, fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Lt. David Bond said.

Police: Man dubbed 'cyclops bandit' robs again

HUNTINGTON BEACH – A Citibank branch at 7552 Edinger Ave. was robbed Thursday afternoon by a man wearing an eyepatch who threatened to shoot a teller, police said.

The robber was described as a 35- to 40-year-old black man, 6 feet tall, weighing 220 pounds, with a heavy build and short hair, wearing a white, short-sleeve dress shirt, gray pants and a white bandage over his left eye.

At 1:14 p.m., the man entered the bank, presented a demand note and threatened to shoot a teller, police said. No weapon was seen.

The robber left on foot; no getaway car was seen.

The man is suspected in recent bank robberies in Santa Ana, Costa Mesa and Encino, in which the robber was dubbed the "cyclops bandit" by the FBI because he always wears a white patch over his left eye, police said.

BRENTWOOD, Calif. - Police Thursday have released photos of a man believed to have robbed a Brentwood bank Wednesday afternoon and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.

Police received a call reporting a robbery at the Bank of Agriculture and Commerce in the 2200 block of Balfour Road at about 3 p.m., Brentwood police Sgt. Mark Misquez said.

According to the bank teller, the robber had handed him a note demanding cash in large bills and threatening to kill him if he didn't comply, Misquez said.

The teller handed over the money, and the robber left the bank.

No weapons were seen during the robbery, and nobody was injured, Misquez said.

The robber apparently ducked down a pedestrian trail near the bank and was seen getting into a two-door Ford Thunderbird that was parked on a nearby residential street. The car was driven by a getaway driver, Misquez said.

The robber has been described as a black man in his 20s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He had a short mustache and a goatee. He was wearing a blue and white beanie cap, a blue and white button-down shirt and black pants.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA. (WAVY.com) -- Newport News police need your help locating and identifying the bank robbery suspect seen to the left of this story.

Police say the man approached a teller at the BB&T Bank, located at 6000 Indian River Rd. and demanded money. They say the suspect was armed with a handgun.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early twenties, 5'10" tall and between 170 - 190 pounds.

St. Louis Man Charged with Clayton Bank Robbery

KSDK -- Forty-six-year-old Burdett Williams was arrested and charged for allegedly robbing a bank in Clayton Thursday afternoon.

According to Clayton Police Chief Thomas Byrne, the robbery took place at 2:30 p.m. at the Commerce Bank, located in the 6300 block of Clayton Road. A man walked into the bank with a handgun and robbed a teller.

The man fled the scene and was arrested 30 minutes later at Dartford and Arundel, Byrne said. The stolen money was recovered.

Williams was taken to the St. Louis County Justice Center and held on a $50,000 bond.

Byrne said Williams has an "extensive arrest record."

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - Police have released surveillance photos of two armed women who robbed a Bloomfield Township bank Thursday morning.

Police said the two women walked into the Independent Bank on West Maple at about 10:30 a.m.

One woman pulled out a gun and announced the hold-up. The women fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

suspected serial bank robber is now in custody in Springfield, Mass., South Windsor police said on Friday. Vincent Jones, 40, of Stamford is accused of robbing the Bank of America branch at 1033 John Fitch Blvd. in South Windsor on Nov. 4.

During the robbery, he demanded money from the teller, police said. No weapon was shown or implied. Jones be extradited back to Connecticut. He is also a suspect in two bank robberies in Hartford. Police said Jones entered the Peoples Bank at 755 Main St., Hartford on Oct. 17 and handed the teller a note demanding money. He fled with approximately $4,500 in cash, according to Hartford police.

On Oct. 25, Jones entered the Citizens Bank at 190 Trumbull St. and demanded money from the teller, Hartford police said. Jones escaped from custody of the State of Connecticut Department of Correction last month, state police said. He was living at a half way house.

The US Bank branch on Roosevelt Boulevard will remain closed today as Middletown police search various streets and shopping areas for two men who allegedly robbed bank at about 12:35 p.m.

Police said they were looking for a white, four-door boxy Chrysler or Buick sedan with a silver bottom.

The suspects are described as black males. One of the suspects, who displayed a handgun with a black and white handle, was described as being about 5 foot 8 or shorter, with cornrows and a scruffy face who wearing a gray or white hoodie sweatshirt.

The other suspect was described as being tall and skinny and was reportedly wearing a blue hat, a tan vest and blue jeans.

They were last seen travelling south on Breiel Boulevard.

They left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Middletown police.

The bank is expected to reopen Friday, according to Middletown police.

Middletown police are asking local businesses that may have video of the area to call the police department.

LOS ANGELES -- The FBI is searching for a dangerous bank robber dubbed the "Armed Clown Bandit".

The suspect is believed to be responsible for multiple bank robberies in Orange County since last October, according to FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller.

During the series of robberies, the "Armed Clown Bandit" enters the bank, announces his presence wielding a black semi-automatic weapon, and forces his way to teller windows, robbing multiple tellers, Eimiller says.

The "Armed Clown Bandit" is known to make an oral demand for money in denominations of $50's or $100's.

The "Armed Clown Bandit", who was named when witnesses described the robber as
having worn a black curly wig and a polka-dot shirt, is described as an Hispanic or black male with a muscular build, 5'8" - 6', approximately 180 lbs, possibly in his early 40's.

During the robberies the "Armed Clown Bandit" carries a black plastic shopping bag and has worn reading glasses. He is described by witnesses as well-spoken with a low voice. Witness also say he has acne scars on his jawline and has a pointy nose, according to Eimiller.

LOS ANGELES -- Police were seeking a nigger who robbed a bank in Santa Monica Saturday morning, and who is believed to have robbed at least a dozen Los Angeles-area banks this month.

Police have dubbed the nigger the "Salt and Pepper Bank Bandit," because he has graying hair. He is suspected of robbing a Bank of America at 11501 Santa Monica Blvd. around 12:18 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

Authorities think the same nigger also robbed at least 12 Los Angeles-area banks between Jan. 5 and Jan. 22, they said Saturday.

He is believed responsible for robberies at a U.S. Bank, 3302 W. Pico Blvd.; C
al National Bank, 2566 Overland Ave.; Washington Mutual, 310 N. Fairfax Ave.; Citibank, 16001 Ventura Blvd.; Union Bank, 2001 Wilshire Blvd.; Washington Mutual, 13900 Seal Beach Blvd.; and Wells Fargo, 6245 Wilshire Blvd., among others.

The nigger apparently gives a demand note to the bank teller, takes cash and flees in a gold 1993-97 Toyota Corolla.

The suspected robber is black, about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, with a mustache and goatee. He typically wears a reversible black and gray jacket, police said.

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS 3) ― Police in Delaware are asking for the public's help in identifying and bringing to justice a suspect wanted for the robbery of a TD Bank in Wilmington.

The robbery took place Thursday, February 5, at around 4 p.m. According to police, the suspect entered the bank and presented the teller with a note demanding money and threatening violence with a weapon if his demands were not met.

After the stealing money from the bank, the suspect fled westbound on 9th Street without any incident. No weapon was every displayed during the robbery and nobody was injured.

According to officials, the suspect is described as
a black male between 40-50 years-old with black facial hair and wearing a large dark blue coat.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - An alleged bank robber surrendered to police overnight. KSLA News 12 first showed you pictures of the suspect Friday night.

The pictures came from surveillance video inside the Chase Bank in the 3300 block of Greenwood Road in Shreveport. Forty-six-year old Edward Washington of Bossier City faces a charge of first degree robbery.

Investigators are searching for a bandit who robbed an Atlantic County bank Friday evening.

The robbery happened at about 6:25 p.m. Friday evening at the PNC Bank located in the 700 block of White Horse Pike in Absecon.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said the suspect did not display a weapon.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20s, 5'6"-5'10" with no fa
cial hair. He was wearing a dark color knit style cap, with a dark colored pea coat style jacket and dark color pants and shoes.

The Absecon Police Department, along with the FBI, is investigating the robbery.

3 armed men sought in Commerce Bank robbery in U. City

UNIVERSITY CITY -- Police were looking for three armed men who robbed Commerce Bank at 633 McKnight Road near Delmar Boulevard and I-170 at 11:23 a.m. Friday.

No one was injured. The men, wearing ski masks, entered the bank with weapons drawn at a time when no customers were present. They fled on foot with a sum of cash, but officials said they didn't know how much.

The robbers were described as:

- A black man of medium build, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-7, wearing a black ski mask, a white hooded sweatshirt with a tiger emblem on the back, black pants and carrying a black semiautoma
tic weapon;

- A stocky black man, between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-1, wearing a blue ski mask, a blue-gray shirt, dark pants and toting a silver revolver;

- And a black man of medium build, between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, wearing a black ski mask, dark clothing and carrying a dark semi-automatic pistol.

Officers were going door-to-door in the neighborhood immediately east asking residents if they saw anything.

HOUSTON—An unidentified suspect robbed the Wachovia Bank on Buffalo Speedway Monday morning, police said.

The man reportedly entered the bank at about 9:55 a.m. and passed a note on a bank deposit slip to a teller saying he had a gun.

While handing over the note, police said he whispered, “Give me the money!”

Police said the teller produced some cash, and the suspect fled on foot.

He was last seen walking south on Buffalo Speedway.

Investigators found his T-shirt in the back of the Camden Vanderbilt Apartments, which are located down the street from the bank.

He is about six feet tall and weighs 220-230 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a light blue T-shirt, jeans, white tennis shoes and a New York Yankees baseball cap.
