HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -

Relatives of 39-year-old Felicia Minor told Local 2 their hearts are heavy as they anxiously wait to hear from the Harris County homicide investigators and the Medical Examiner.

They fear the worst because the white Nissan Altima that had been set on fire next to a bayou in northwest Harris County belongs to Minor.

Firefighters discovered a charred body inside the car and Minor is nowhere to be found. Her sister told Local 2 the last time she saw her was Thursday. Minor's family members believe Minor's fiancé, 41-year-old Derrick Worrell holds all the answers.

Police arrested him Monday in connection with a robbery that took place near the homicide scene. According to court papers, the couple had a history of domestic violence. Houston police arrested Worrell in February for allegedly assaulting Minor.

Houston policesaid Minor claimed he grabbed her by the neck and punched her during a dispute.

The autopsy is expected to take 24-48 hours because the body was so badly burned.

Woman doused with gasoline; set on fire in Detroit apartment; boyfriend facing charges

DETROIT -

A 38-year-old Detroit woman named Charlotta was burned severely over at least half her body after gasoline was poured on her and set afire as a result of an argument with a boyfriend.

Police said the attack happened around 2:20 a.m. Friday in an apartment on Canton Street. The woman is in critical condition with second- and third-degree burns on her torso, arms, neck and face.

"I think it's a tragedy," one neighbor told Local 4. The neighbors of this east side apartment complex are stunned by the amount of violence they witnessed overnight.

Her 59-year-old boyfriend kicked her out of their apartment, so she went upstairs to sleep in Eric Johnson's apartment. Moments later, Johnson was putting out the fire that had consumed Charlotta.

"She was like 'No stop, stop, stop, stop,'" Johnson said. The boyfriend apparently charged into the upstairs apartment in a jealous rage before dousing Charlotta with gasoline from head to toe.

"He poured the gas on her and he was trying to light her up," Johnson said. "I kept pushing his hand back. And then I slipped one time and he slid past me and he caught her and she just caught on fire."

The man left the building, but returned later while police were investigating.

"He came back," another neighbor said. "And that's how they got him."

CHICAGO (CBS) – Relatives said the man who killed two women and injured two men before killing himself in the Ashburn neighborhood on Monday suffered from mental health issues, and got into a fight with his girlfriend a day earlier when she ended their relationship.

LaQuisha Hickman, 37, reportedly told her boyfriend Edward Prince she was ending things Sunday night.

When police were called to Prince’s uncle’s house in in the 3500 block of West 79th Place on Sunday, because Prince and Hickman were fighting, Prince already had left. Still, Hickman filed a domestic battery report against him.

He returned to the house Monday morning and went on a shooting rampage shortly before 9 a.m.

Relatives said Prince, 36, took at least 10 people hostage in the house. He pistol-whipped his 58-year-old uncle, and shot an 18-year-old male cousin in the leg.

Those two men escaped the home with non-life-threatening injuries.

As police arrived at the scene, responding to reports of shots fired, they found those two men outside the home, and heard shots fired inside.

Relatives said Prince shot and killed Hickman in a jealous rage, then shot 23-year-old family friend Nicole Loving, before turning the gun on himself.

Neighbors said at least 80 police cars and vehicles swarmed the area after Prince apparently fired shots at arriving officers.

“Right now, we all shook, be we don’t understand it. I don’t understand it. I’m the oldest cousin, and everybody looking at me for [answers] and, right now, I don’t have ‘em,” said Prince’s cousin, Sheila.

Relatives said Prince had suffered from mental health issues before the shooting, but it was unclear if he’d stopped taking his medication.

When the two got back to his apartment and he got in the shower, Clancy-Coleman decided to join him and get revenge by stabbing him in the shoulder with a butcher knife when the man turned his back, according to the affidavit.

Prosecutors: Man threatened to blow up ex-girlfriend, baby

7:46 p.m. CDT, June 28, 2014

An Indiana man who escaped police custody at a hospital after threatening to blow up his ex-girlfriend and her 10-month-old boy early this month was recaptured this week
, prosecutors said today.

John Hudson, 41, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery of a child in the June 9 attack at the woman's home in the 7200 block of South Langley Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood.

The woman and Hudson had lived together at the home in the 7200 block of South Langley Avenue and have a child together, according to court records, which do not indicate if the 10-month-old is their child together.

While the 23-year-old victim was sleeping in her room about 5:30 a.m., Hudson entered and threatened to cut her if she did not have sex with him, according to Assistant State’s Attorney Glendon Runk.

The victim smelled natural gas in the house, as Hudson had turned four burners on, according to court documents. He pushed her, punched her in the face and threatened to kill himself, while she pleaded with him and called her mother, Runk said.

After she grabbed her 10-month-old boy from the baby's room and ran into the kitchen to turn off the burners, he began trying to turn on a lighter, threatening to burn down the house and kill the mother and her child.

He then pinned the woman down and held a knife to her throat, threatening to kill her. He also threw the baby onto the ground, causing the child to hit his head on a television stand. The woman ran next door with her child to call police, Runk said, but Hudson stayed behind, and police eventually talked him out of the house.

Teen Charged In Murder Of Woman Found In Trunk Of Car In Gary
July 11, 2014 2:27 PM

CHICAGO (CBS) — Evidence on a GPS device and blood inside a home has led prosecutors to charge a teenager with the murder of a woman who was found stabbed to death inside the trunk of her car in Gary.

Damarius Rashard Wren, 18, who is allegedly the boyfriend of the victim’s daughter, was charged on Friday in knowingly or intentionally killing DeCarol Deloney sometime between July 3 and July 7.

Lake County Coroner’s office said Deloney, 54, had suffered multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head.

Her body was found wrapped in black plastic bags on Monday in the trunk of her own car, which had been left in a wooded area near 22nd Place and Missouri Street in Gary. Her hands and feet were bound with what appeared to be red duct tape with a pillow case over her head.

Deloney had six stab wounds and a broken skull, the coroner found.

Deloney, a mother of three who lived in Crown Point, was a flight attendant for United Airlines for about 25 years.

After the body was discovered, police got a call from Deloney’s daughter, who told investigators that she had found a bloody wrench and a stain on the basement floor.

While police were investigating inside the victim’s home, they found a vacuum that contained blood inside.

Further investigation around the home revealed a garbage bag box similar to the bags found with the victim as well as red duct tape.

Initially, Wren claimed the stain on the floor was a fruit drink. During questioning, police also told Wren they found a GPS device in the victim’s living room. When it was activated, it showed the location where Deloney’s car had been found in Gary.

Wren then told police he had found the body in the basement and kept his girlfriend, who was the victim’s daughter, out of the basement while he wrapped it in plastic.

The daughter, who has not been charged, admitted that she drove with Wren in a separate car to the scene in Gary where her mother’s body was discovered. She also told police that Wren and another individual had planned to steal Deloney’s ATM card, withdraw money and drive to Ohio.

The robbery never occurred, the daughter told investigators.

Deloney’s son said the airline contacted him on Sunday, saying she had missed work.

The family learned of her murder when her body was found Monday, although she was not publicly identified until Wednesday.

Her family last saw her just before the July 4th holiday.
