VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) — A Norfolk woman is facing charges after a $35,000 ring was stolen from guests at the Cavalier Hotel.

Chrystal Gregory, 27, is charged with Grand Larceny after police arrested her last week. It comes after about three months of investigation. Court documents said the victims reported the theft from their room safe in June.

The ring was classified as a “Wedding Band Diamond, Gold Bank Silver” in an online incident report.

The paperwork said the victims also had a wallet with a credit card stolen from the safe and random charges for Uber and T-Mobile appeared on it. Records do not indicate Gregory is charged for that theft and Virginia Beach police did not say if they are looking for anyone else in connection to the crimes.

Authorities on Friday linked a group of four men with a series of recent burglaries in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties.

Three 18-year-olds from Los Angeles—Antonio Houston and Jermain and Jermel White—and 23-year-old Tyler Williams of Lancaster
were booked on suspicion of residential burglary on Monday, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

At around 3 p.m. that day, deputies and Simi Valley police saw the suspects commit a burglary in North Hollywood and travel slowly in a black Mercedez Benz through Panorama City and into the Sun Valley area, a statement from the Sheriff's Department said.

At some point, the investigators spotted the vehicle parked in front of a residence on Burton Street. The men allegedly soon emerged from the home carrying "handfuls of property" before trying to leave in the Mercedes.

Gwinnett County Police say five young men are a part of a group that's been stealing cars and burglarizing local businesses for months now. This time, they were captured on surveillance cameras in Stone Mountain.

On September 9th, the young men, possibly in their late teens or early 20s, were seen on video at QuikTrip on Stone Mountain Highway. Surveillance video shows them driving up in a Black Mercedes Benz, walking through the QT, and then next door to the Hertz Car Sales parking lot where they try to take a car.

“They're pulling door handles possibly looking for one that's open,” said Corporal Wilbert Rundles, spokesperson with the Gwinnett County Police, describing the video to CBS46.

The group went around the side of the Hertz building and yanked on the door handle until it popped open. They went inside the service bay and stole a 2017 Nissan Altima.

Police have released an image and video of the suspect, and are trying to identify and arrest him.

Officers described him as a black man in his early 20s. During the theft, he was wearing a black collared shirt, a dark gray baseball hat, dark pants and black Nike shoes, according to police.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 30-year-old Michigan woman has been arrested for allegedly using fraudulent cards to purchase nearly $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise from Menards stores in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

According to a criminal complaint, Jasmine Annice Williams, of Detroit, hit at least six Menards stores in Minnesota and at least one in Wisconsin over the past week. Police say Williams is accused of using multiple accounts at multiple stores, resulting in thousands of dollars in fraudulent transactions.

Court records say an investigation revealed that the woman would allegedly apply for Menards credit cards using stolen identities and would then place a hold on the victims’ mail for a short period of time so they wouldn’t receive notices about the credit cards.

The incidents started in Wisconsin and Menards stores in West St. Paul, Apple Valley, Golden Valley, Brunsville, Richfield and Eden Prairie were also hit.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A pair of co-workers were taken into custody after they were accused of stealing thousands from Pizza Hut in a matter of weeks.

The Pizza Hut Human Resources Division called Memphis police after they received multiple complaints from card holders about disputed transactions. Each of the transactions happened while Angela Taylor and Tyrone Baker were on the clock, :rolleyes:they said.

When confronted, Taylor allegedly confessed to being part of a theft ring operating out of the Southwind Park Cove location. She said someone named “D” would text her a stolen credit card number, the expiration date and zip code, and she would place an order.

To cover their tracks, the suspects would then make a pizza and Baker would deliver it to a man only known as “D.” Baker would then be given an enormous tip on the receipt. That same amount was then taken directly from the store’s cash register.

Between early September and October 13 the trio reportedly stole more than $10,500 from Pizza Hut.
