The two men instructed an employee to put cell phones and tablets into two bags and fled the scene out the rear door of the store.

No one was reported injured in the incident, according to authorities.

Marvin Jones Jr., 25, was charged Friday with one count of armed robbery. A second suspect, who is described as a black male, approximately 21 years old, wearing baggy clothing, has not been identified, police said.

Detective: Man flashing $100 bills prompted deadly bar shooting in Smyrna

COBB COUNTY, Ga. —
A detective says a man flashing $100 bills inside a restaurant may have prompted a deadly shooting in Smyrna.

Channel 2's Ross Cavitt heard testimony in a Cobb County courtroom Tuesday.

Detectives say Isadore "Izzy" Barboza needed money and with his friend, planned to rob someone the night of the shooting at Doc's Food and Spirits off Cumberland Boulevard. He allegedly found his victim inside the Smyrna restaurant.

"Mr. Brooks flashed a large sum of money, which attracted a lot of attention inside the bar," said Smyrna police Detective Ron Waddell.

But what Barboza didn't realize, the detective said, is that the money-flashing man's girlfriend, Ebone Driskell, always carried a gun in her purse. And when the robbery went down in the parking lot, she got the drop on Barboza's friend Quondre Bentley.

"Fired one shot that hit Mr. Bentley and it was a fatal shot. He died in the driver's seat of that car," Waddell said.

Barboza, police say, then shot Driskell, tossed her out of the car and drove off with his dying friend in the front seat. The drama ended with Barboza charged with murder – not once, but twice, since his friend also died in the exchange of gunfire.

Detectives admitted having no fingerprint or DNA evidence yet, but say the cameras at Doc's Food and Spirits caught it all, inside and out.

"From the time they actually arrived at Doc's and made entry inside the bar to their actions inside the bar, to them leaving to go outside to lie in wait, and then the actual murder itself is on video," Waddell said.

The video places Barboza at the scene when the shooting happened, the detective said. He'll likely remain behind bars until his upcoming trial.

Man on trial for robbery flees before guilty verdict

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Charlotte man ran off during a court recess Wednesday, just before a jury found him guilty of robbery.

The trial for Tahj Wilson, 24, began Dec. 9. He was convicted Wednesday afternoon on one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of cocaine.

The District Attorney’s Office says Wilson was not present to hear the verdict because he fled during recess. He will be sentenced once he is arrested.

The original charges stem from an operation in October 2011 involving Huntersville and Pineville police.

They say undercover officers made plans to buy marijuana from Wilson. During the sale, Wilson’s co-conspirator Garnett Taylor pulled out a gun as Wilson demanded the officers’ belongings, according to police. Other nearby officers quickly arrested both men. :rotfl:

Taylor previously pleaded guilty to the crime.

Anyone with information on Wilson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact police. Niggers don't snitch.

DENVER - Facebook led an accused shoe thief to a victim, but also led her and police back to him.

According to the arrest affidavit for Leroy Isaiah Bolden, the victim wanted to sell the pair of Nike tennis shoes for $180. She told police a man who identified himself on Facebook as Isaiah Guaps said he would pay $20 more if she met him at the corner of 30th and Oneida in Denver.

She brought the shoes and he showed some cash before pulling out a black semi-automatic pistol and pointing it in the woman's face. The document states that he took the shoes and ran south through an alley.

When the victim went home, she went back on Facebook and found a picture of Guaps on facebook. Police say his real name is Leroy Isaiah Bolden, 18. 7NEWS found that Bolden is on probation out of Florida.

Police tracked him to a relative’s house near 30th and Oneida. When they tried to arrest him, he ran. They caught him after a brief foot chase.

“That happened about a month or so ago,” said a utility crew employee working in front of the house. “There were police all over the place. They had guns drawn.”

A search warrant return shows police found 56 pairs of Nike shoes when they searched the home where Isaiah was living.

Investigators tell 7NEWS they can link some of the shoes to other burglaries in Denver.

Mark Hambric

Man accused of robbing more than 20 gas stations, businesses by Natalia Martinez

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man is facing charges after police said he went on a stealing spree that stretched across Jefferson County.

Mark Hambric just turned 29, but he's already facing at least 25 charges for robbery.

Louisville Metro police said they are still tallying the number of stores and gas stations believed to have been robbed by Hambric.

WAVE 3 News obtained a copy of the surveillance video of one of the robberies from the BP gas station located on Newburg and Interstate 264. The store's manager said Hambric got away with about $800, and that he's adding bullet-proof glass around the register.

"You feel kinda scared, kinda because this is a highway store," said Manager Sunny Sigh. "People come, they rob and then they run."

Hambric was convicted of robbery in 2008. Police said he stopped talking to his probation officer within two weeks of when he allegedly started robbing stores again.

"He failed to report and we've been looking for him ever since," Officer Jason Schwitzer said.

Recently, police said Hambric changed his look by cutting off his dreadlocks. This past weekend police said Hambric struck yet again. The Viper unit stepped in after seeing that he had a gun.

Police say Hambric would pay his get-away drivers and then hit the streets with pockets of cash searching for drugs.
