They had left three small children in a car while they were inside the store.

Broward Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the store at 3001 N State Road 7 around 7 p.m. Monday where they arrested 30-year old Tosheba Hope and 24-year old Gerald Moultrie and charged them with grand theft. The couple allegedly tried to steal $600 in tools and accessories.

Father accused of leaving son in car outside nightclub

HUMBLE, Texas -

The father of a 5-year-old boy was arrested Sunday morning, accused of leaving his son in a cold car while he was inside an Humble area nightclub. Dewayne Keith Winn, 44, is charged with abandoning a child with intent to return.

"I hesitate to think how it could have ended up and just thank the good Lord it did not end that way," said Capt. Wally Wieghat with the Precinct 4 Constable's Office.

Wieghat said a security guard for the after hours, B.Y.O.B. Eclipse club on FM 1960 near the Hardy Toll Road was the first to spot the boy while making his rounds in the parking lot. However, Wieghat said the guard initially thought the child was a young lady.

Wieghat said shortly after 5 a.m. the guard saw the same person still sitting the car and decided to take a closer look. Wieghat said the child had been in the car for more than two hours in near 40-degree temperatures.

"He was cold and he was shivering and he was hungry, one of the officers went and bought food for him," said Wieghat.

Wieghat said security guards tracked down the boy's father inside the club and tried to question him, but he ran off. Wieghat said Winn returned to the club a short time later and told deputy constables he was only in the club a short time.

"(He said) just there to use the restroom, had only been inside about 15 minutes. We quickly disproved that," said Wieghat.

Wieghat said security guards at the club take a time stamp photo of patrons' IDs when they enter the club. Wieghat said the picture showed Winn entered the club just before 3 a.m. and didn't leave until after 5 a.m.

Reginald Bradley was supposed to be picking up his 2-year-old niece.

But Jefferson Parish Sheriff's detectives say the 28-year-old Marrero man made a stop along the way and killed a man in the street while the child waited in the car.

Kenneth Clark, 28, of 810 Bellville Ave., in Algiers was found shot to death Saturday (March 7) in front of 4249 Lac Bienville Dr., Apt. D, in Harvey, according to sheriff's office spokesman Col. John Fortunato.

While Detective Rhonda Goff investigated Clark's death, witness descriptions of the suspect and suspect vehicle led her to Bradley.

Bradley's sister, Ebony Bradley of Marrero, said she lent her brother her blue Ford Taurus around 11 a.m. so that he could pick up her toddler in the Tallow Tree area, about five miles away.

The couple that brought the 4 and 5-year-old brothers to the church said their mother dropped them off at their home a few days ago and disappeared.

HOUSTON – Two little boys were abandoned at a Houston church Tuesday with nothing but a couple of suitcases.

The couple that brought the 4 and 5-year-old brothers to the church said their mother dropped them off at their home a few days ago and disappeared.

Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Antoine Eakins said the couple didn't want to take care of the boys anymore.

"'We've had these kids for two days and we want to give 'em up,'" Eakins said they told him. "'We're tired of dishing out money to help them with babysitters and all that stuff.'"

The boys had their mother's phone number so Eakins called her. She called back several hours later and said she had no idea where her kids were.

Child-endangerment charges were filed Thursday night against a Bronx mom who left her two barefoot children wandering the streets alone, cops said.

The toddlers, a 3-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were spotted by neighbors dashing down a sidewalk along Longfellow Avenue a little after noon.

At one point, one child ran into the street before being corralled by Samaritans, who called *police.

The kids were taken in good condition to Lincoln Hospital, where mom Laschanda Devaughn later showed up, claiming she had left her children with a neighbor.

But cops didn’t buy her story and busted her.

A Long Island dad got so drunk that he left his 3-year-old daughter in a Subway sandwich shop in Harlem during a Saturday night binge, and didn’t realize it until the next morning — when the child’s mother asked him where their little girl was, cops and witnesses said.

Stanley Frederique, 34, a nurse’s assistant from Elmont, abandoned his orange mongrel daughter, Nataleigh, in the fast-food eatery on Saint Nicholas Avenue around 11:30 p.m., police said.

The little girl, wearing a blue polka-dot dress and pink leggings, was spotted on surveillance video happily skipping on the sidewalk outside the shop holding her father’s hand just moments before he brought her inside, bought her a turkey sub — and headed for the door.

Witnesses said the panicked child tried to run after him, but he screamed at her to stay.

“[She yelled] ‘Daddy! Daddy!’ and he came back and opened the door and yelled, ‘Sit down! I’ll be back!’ ” said Mohammed Rahman, 37.

“He appeared drunk. He was abnormally rude,’’ Rahman said. “The little girl said nothing, and he just yelled at her, yelling, ‘Go inside! Sit down! I’ll come back!’ She was a very nice little girl. She was very happy. She had her sandwich.’’

After about 20 minutes, the youngster caught the attention of a customer, Michaela Warnsley of Harlem — who happens to be a child welfare worker.

“I asked her, ‘Where’s your mommy and daddy?’ and she pointed to the [street] corner,’’ Warnsley told The Post.

Warnsley said she walked the child to a police station house.

“They decided they were going to take her to the hospital,” Warnsley said. “It was a traumatic experience for her.”

Her father realized what he’d done only after he called the child’s mother, Marleana Neeper, from a cab at around 7:30 a.m., law enforcement sources said.

As he was telling her he was on his way home, she asked where their daughter was — and he realized he had no idea and started freaking out, the sources said.

Mohammed Wasay, 47, who owns the laundry where Neeper works, said the mom “could barely breathe.”

“Marleana had no clue her daughter was missing,” said Wasay, who spoke with Neeper afterward.

The cabby hailed a traffic cop, and they took Frederique to the 84th Precinct in downtown Brooklyn, where he blubbered to police that he had lost his kid, sources said. Cops charged him with child abandonment and reckless endangerment.

As cops hauled the dad off to court, he made excuses for leaving his little girl.

“You guys don’t know what’s going on in my life. I got problems, OK?” he said. “I’m sick.”

Nataleigh arrived home in her mother’s arms Sunday evening. Her dopey dad was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center.

Frederique has been arrested at least three times on drug charges and spent three years behind bars, from 2005 to 2008.

In 2010, he also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child because of an argument a male relative had with a woman over child care, according to the Long Island Press.

The dad who left his 3-year-old daughter in a Subway sandwich shop in Harlem during a booze-fueled binge tried to convince a judge Monday that it was all just “a mistake.”

But Manhattan Criminal Court Justice Denise Dominguez wasn’t having any of it, ordering Long Island father Stanley Frederique to stay away from his child and that he be held on $20,000 bail at his arraignment.

Frederique, 34, of Elmont was charged with child abandonment, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child in the incident.

He abandoned his adorable little girl, Nataleigh, at the Subway around 11:30 p.m. Saturday — and only realized that she wasn’t with him at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, when he was headed home after a night of drinking, and his wife asked him on the phone where Nataleigh was, sources have said.

“The defendant made statements saying he didn’t know where the child was and that he was intoxicated,” prosecutor Elizabeth Clerkin told the judge.

Fortunately, a good Samaritan customer at the Subway noticed that the little girl had been by herself for about 20 minutes and walked her to the local police precinct. The child was reunited with her mom Sunday.

Frederique’s lawyer, Sergio de la Pava, told the judge that his client “sought out the police” when he discovered what he’d done.

At one point during the proceeding, Frederique, who had been sought on a previous bench warrant, tried to interrupt the judge, saying, “It was a mistake!” but he was quickly hushed up by his lawyer.

The lawyer noted that the dad has worked at a Brooklyn nursing home for three years and asked for $5,000 bail. Clerkin sought $50,000.

Wandering Turdler Leads Police to Home Alone Child in Dirty Philadelphia Home
By Dan Stamm
Updated at 11:42 PM EDT on Friday, Jul 24, 2015

A wandering 2-year-old led Philadelphia Police to find another child home alone in a dirty North Philadelphia home Friday afternoon.

Police responded to the 2200 block of N 16th Street around 1:50 p.m. to find the child suffering from a substantial burn to the left foot while the child walked out in the street, said Philadelphia Police.

Police then went to the child’s home to find an 11-year-old asleep on the second floor of a residence left in deplorable shape. No parents were home at time.

Besides the burn, neither child appeared to be injured but medics took the children to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in any case so that they could be examined.

A 13-year-old cousin said 11 children live in the home. A woman, who refused to give her name, but said she was an ont to the children said their mother went to the store to get lunch when the child wandered outside.

She also said the burn was actually a birf mark.

DHS and police investigated the incident.
