A New Jersey middle school teacher faces several sex crimes charges after being accused of touching a student’s private parts over the child’s clothes in the classroom, according to reports.

Sean Lora, who teaches English as a second language at the Franklin Williams Middle School 7 in Jersey City, was arrested Wednesday, a day after the alleged attack, NJ.com reported.

Other students have come forward to make similar allegations against the suspected sicko, Hudson County prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

There were seven children in the classroom with Lora at the time of the alleged attack on Tuesday, Suarez added.

The principal reported the incident to the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit immediately upon learning of the report from the alleged victim, who is younger than 13, WNBC reported.

Lora was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault by contact, one count of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and five counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

According to his LinkedIn page, Lora also is an adjunct professor at Pillar College in Newark. He earned his bachelor’s at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico before attending Grand Canyon University in Arizona for his graduate degrees, according to the site.

Messages left with New Jersey school officials and Pillar College were not immediately returned.

Lora was being held at the Hudson County jail pending a court appearance.

The school has about 900 students in grades six through eight, including a high percentage learning English — 35 percent compared to 11 percent districtwide, according to state records.

Police Searching For Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Missing Teen Girl
By Kristen Johanson
March 14, 2018 at 11:52 pm

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are searching for a man they say ran off with a missing girl from West Philadelphia.

There’s a warrant for the arrest of 42-year-old Pedro Velazquez, who investigators say met a teen girl online and began a sexual relationship with her.

“Beginning last May and going all the way up to last December of 2017,” said Captain Sekou Kinebrew. “That would have made her 15 [years old] at the time.”

Velazquez is wanted by police for statutory rape. Kinebrew says the victim, now 16 years old, is missing.

“She contacted her mother, admitted she was with him,” Kinebrew said, “but wouldn’t disclose the location.”

Kinebrew says Velazquez’s last known address is listed along the 700 block of East Allegheny Avenue in Kensington.

Detectives believe he is driving a black Nissan Altima with a Pennsylvania plate (tag number is unknown).

Rose Tree Media School District Warns About Possible Child Lurings
May 8, 2018 at 2:32 pm

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) — A school district in Delaware County is warning parents about possible child lurings over the past few days.

According to a letter sent to parents from the Rose Tree Media School District, Pennsylvania State Police are investigating possible lurings that occurred on Friday evening and Monday morning.

The school district says a supposed Amazon deliveryman approached a 15-year-old girl at her home on Willits Way in Chester Heights Borough on Friday.

“He was persistent in delivering a package despite the 15-year-old not expecting a delivery,” the letter reads. The man then left and it was later confirmed there was no package that was scheduled for delivery.

The second incident happened on Monday morning when the school district says a fifth-grade student was approached by a man in a van while he was waiting for his bus at the Glen Riddle apartments in Middletown Township. The school district says the man asked the boy if he wanted to drive his van, but the child said no and the man left.

The school district says that in both incidents, a dark-skinned, possibly Hispanic, man was driving a white van with red lettering on the side and a ladder rack.

The school district says they are cooperating with Pennsylvania State Police in the investigation.

A creep tried to abduct two children in separate incidents in Brooklyn — but the tough kids both fought back and escaped, according to police, who detailed the disturbing pattern Wednesday.

The first incident happened after 3 p.m May 7, when a 10-year-old boy was walking home from school in Borough Park. The stranger approached the boy near the corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway and 58th Street and asked him if he wanted any ice cream, police said.

The child said no and tried to get away — so the man grabbed him by his backpack and wouldn’t let me him leave. But the brave boy fought back, trying to bite the man until he released his grip, police said.

The uninjured child ran to safety and reported the incident.

Two days later, around the same time, the predator tried abducting a second 10-year-old boy less than a mile away in Sunset Park.

Again, the child was walking home from school — this time in the area of 7th Avenue and 53rd Street — when the man approached and grabbed his arm and wouldn’t let him leave, police said.

The boy fought back, kicking at the stranger until he was able to get free.

The man fled, and the victim was not injured.

Police on Wednesday released a photograph of the suspect, whom they describe as an adult Asian man, approximately 5 feet 9 and 180 pounds.

The creep who cops say tried to abduct a pair of 10-year-old boys in Brooklyn has been arrested, police said.

Zhu Lin Shi, 68, who did not speak English , strolled into the 72nd Precinct on Wednesday night, claiming that he saw himself on TV, police sources said. He was identified in a lineup and connected to the abductions, according to the sources.

The first incident happened on May 7, just after 3 p.m., when the 10-year-old boy was walking home from school in Borough Park.

Lin Shi approached the boy near the corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway and 58th Street and asked him if he wanted any ice cream, police said.

The child said no and tried to get away — so the stranger grabbed him by his backpack and wouldn’t let him leave.

But the brave boy fought back, trying to bite Lin Shi until he released his grip, police said. The uninjured child ran to safety and reported the incident.

Two days later, around the same time, Lin Shi allegedly tried snatching a second 10-year-old boy less than a mile away in Sunset Park.

Again, the child was walking home from school — this time in the area of 7th Avenue and 53rd Street — when the man approached and grabbed his arm and wouldn’t let him leave, police said.

But the plucky victim kicked at the stranger until he was able to get free. The man fled, and the boy was not injured.

Lin Shi — who lives only blocks from both locations — was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child, unlawful imprisonment and menacing, cops said.

He has no prior arrests.

A Manhattan karate instructor has been charged with sexually abusing five young girls in his studio — nearly 20 years after he was arrested for preying on another child, police said Sunday.

Hector Bencosme, 57, was arrested Saturday for molesting five of his female students — all between 10 and 14-years-old — inside the basement facility on Post Avenue near Academy Street in Inwood, police said.

The Upper West Side resident told his victims he needed to evaluate their bodies — then inappropriately touched them and photographed them topless over a two-month period, a police source told The Post.

He allegedly massaged the girls and told them they needed to lose weight. He also photographed them topless and saved the photographs on his cell phone, a source said.

On one occasion, Bencosme massaged a student’s bare breasts, a police source said. In another instance, he rubbed his genitals against a victim’s buttocks, the source added.

The karate instructor was busted after a student who was using his phone observed some of the explicit pictures and reported them, the source said.

He was hit Saturday evening with a slew of charges including criminal sex act, aggravated sex abuse, and possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child.

This is not Bencosme’s first brush with the law.

He was arrested in Jan. 2000 for sexually abusing a Washington Heights child.

Bencosme posted bail and fled to his native Dominican Republic, relatives said at the time.

He was re-arrested in that case in 2003 after returning to the US and setting up a tae kwon do school on West 159th Street.

It was not immediately clear if Bencosme was convicted in the 2003 case.

A mugger hurled a 10-year-old girl to the ground and kicked her in the face before swiping her cell phone in a disturbing Bronx attack, surveillance video shows.

The suspect followed the young victim — who was holding her iPhone 7+ — into her building near Holland Avenue and Pelham Parkway North in Allerton at 4:50 p.m. Monday, police said Saturday.

Video shows the suspect strolling into the lobby — where he stood for a few seconds, before creeping up on the pre-teen and grabbing her as she walked through another door.

The assailant is shown knocking his young victim to the ground and delivering a swift kick to her face before taking off with her phone.

He remained at large Saturday evening, cops said.

Cops nabbed the brute who allegedly threw a 10-year-old girl to the ground and kicked her in the face before robbing her in the Bronx, police said Wednesday.

Marcos Lazaro, 39, was arrested on Tuesday around 11 p.m. after police received an anonymous tip about his whereabouts, law enforcement sources told the Post.

Lazaro allegedly followed the young girl into her building near Holland Avenue and Pelham Parkway North in Allerton at 4:50 p.m. on May 25th, police said.

Video of the disturbing attack shows Lazaro grabbing his young victim, knocking her to the ground and kicking her in the face.

He ran off with the girl’s iPhone 7 Plus, police said.

Lazaro was picked up on Eastchester Road, less than an mile and a half away from where the incident happened. He was charged with robbery and assault, police said. He was taken to an area hospital from the precinct and will be arraigned after he has been treated.

‘Bold And Brazen Attack’: Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Sexually Assaulting 4-Year-Old Girl In Avondale
By Anita Oh
June 14, 2018 at 11:45 pm

AVONDALE, Pa. (CBS) — A man is in custody after allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl in Avondale on June 10.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of 35-year-old Humberto Guzman-Garcia on Thursday.

“The little girl, when we later talked to her, told us a monster came and took her out of the house,” said Chester County District Attorney Thomas Hogan.

Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the apartment complex on 1st Avenue, the girl’s parents woke up to use the restroom, noticed their front door was unlocked, and their little girl was missing.

“They’re frantically looking for her. Her mother’s looking inside, [stepdad] looking outside,” said Hogan.

Hogan says the stepfather ran outside and spotted the man holding down his daughter by a shed about 50 yards away with his pants down.

“The father, of course, runs over right away. The defendant runs away,” Hogan said.

Authorities later found the suspect hiding in an abandoned car in the parking lot.

Investigators say the man admitted to abducting the girl and committing a sexual act on her.

He had initially knocked on the family’s door. The little girl, whose bedroom is adjacent to the front door, opened it.

The door was still locked by the top latch.

“Because she was so small, she could only unlock the bottom lock. She opened the door, the actor had a brief conversation with her through the crack in the door, at which point he reached in, opened the latch and took the child from the residence,” said Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Stefano Gallina.

The 35-year-old Mexican national is a legal resident of the United States, authorities say.

He faces multiple charges, including aggravated indecent assault and false imprisonment.

“This is every parent’s nightmare,” Hogan said. “It’s extremely rare for a stranger to be attacking someone like this. It’s a bold and brazen attack.”

Investigators say they have no evidence of stalking and believe this was a random, isolated act.

“My heart goes out to her,” said the victim’s neighbor, Dawn Clark. “He’s a monster and God forgive me for saying this but he’s lucky I didn’t find him.”

Clark says the man knocked on her door that morning, too.

“He knocked on my door at 1 a.m., and I feel really bad because maybe if I would’ve called the cops, something wouldn’t have happened to that little girl. My heart goes out to her,” she said through tears.

Guzman-Garcia is now in Chester County prison on $500,000 cash bail.

Creepy janitor spied on girl in school bathroom: suit
By Priscilla DeGregory
June 14, 2018 | 6:56pm

A janitor who was caught spying on a young girl in the bathroom of an elite Lower East Side public school never served a day in jail — but now the girl’s family is suing him and the city in hopes of some payback.

The girl was ten years old and was starting the Beacon Program for middle schoolers, held at the NEST+M school on Columbia Street, when the creepy janitor struck.

It was July 6, 2015, and the girl, whose name is being withheld by The Post, had just finished her first day of the program.

“Toward the end of that school day, [the girl] sought to use the Girls lavatory in the School,” the family’s lawsuit states.

“While in a state of undress, she observed a pair of human eyes peering at her through vents located in and on the walls of the lavatory,” says the suit, which was filed in Queens, the family’s county of residence.

“The eyes were adorned with black-framed eyeglasses,” the suit says.

The girl was “stunned, distressed and embarrassed.”

Still, she had the maturity to immediately tell a counselor what had happened, even describing the peeper’s distinctive glasses.

The counselor caught janitor Miguel Palacio, 61, of Washington Heights, just as he was leaving the adjacent boy’s room, according to the criminal charges.

Palacio, who was employed by the city Department of Education, was the only janitor on duty, and was indeed wearing black-framed glasses.

Cops with the nearby Seventh Precinct were called the next day.

They found that Palacio had reached the vent by going through the boys’ room and into an off-limits plumbing access space — where a vent overlooked the girls’ toilets, according to the criminal complaint.

Palacio pleaded guilty the following February to endangering the welfare of a child, a spokeswoman for the Manhattan DA’s office said of his plea deal.

He was ordered to complete a sex offender treatment program.

Meanwhile, the girl was so traumatized, she quit the summer school program, the suit says.

“She was robbed of this opportunity,” says the girl’s lawyer, Adam Levy. She “was forced to withdraw because it was too hard for her to go back,” he said.

The city should have done a far better job of protecting the privacy of the girls’ bathroom, the suit says in demanding unspecified cash compensation.

A spokesperson for the city law department declined to comment. A DOE spokesman said, “We have strict policies in place to ensure misconduct is swiftly addressed and Mr. Palacio was terminated three years ago.”

Teacher who secretly taped student, colleague in bathroom won’t be fired
By Susan Edelman
June 16, 2018 | 6:40pm

A Manhattan teacher secretly videotaped colleagues and students in a gym office toilet stall — but won’t be fired, officials said.

Johnny Tang, a gym teacher and swim instructor at the Urban Assembly New York Harbor School, allegedly propped up his cell phone in his open locker facing the stall, says a report by the Special Commissioner of Investigation for city schools.

A female teacher using the toilet spotted the phone and realized it was “on record mode.”

She reviewed some of the 8- to-12 minute recording, which showed her “performing feminine hygiene,” and was so disgusted she deleted that part.

A girl student had used the toilet about two minutes earlier, she told probers.

The staffer confronted Tang, who took the phone, claimed he had put it on record mode “by mistake,” and deleted the tape.

The accused peeper, who makes $90,500 a year, was removed from the school and charged with misconduct. But the city Department of Education did not pursue termination, saying it was difficult because the evidence was destroyed. Instead, Tang agreed to pay a $25,000 fine.

The DOE said Tang was assigned “to a central office,” and won’t be working in schools.

A Manhattan man wanted for groping three out-of-town teens outside a Broadway theater was busted Monday, according to cops.

Hosny Elsayed was arrested “without incident” in Midtown where he works as a juice vendor after detectives recognized the 46-year-old Times Square resident from the area, according to law enforcement sources.

Cops charged Elsayed with four counts of sex abuse and four counts of forcible touching in connection with Friday’s incident.

Elsayed was standing in a crowd outside the production of “Anastasia” at the Broadhurst Theatre on West 44th Street at 11:15 p.m. Friday, June 22, when he accosted the girls from behind, cops said.

Elsayed also is charged in a fourth incident that occurred the day before involving another 16-year-old victim at the same location, according to police.

A Long Island high school teacher was arrested for asking two female students to pose for him — one in a bikini and one in the nude, police said Friday.

Jairo Inswasty, a math teacher at Central Islip High School, allegedly preyed on the two 16-year-old girls from January to May of this year, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart said.

He asked one of the victims to send him photos of herself in a bathing suit — which he paid her $5 for after initially promising much more.

“He handed her $2,000, had her count it and then paid her $5 for the picture,” said Hart. “He stated that the next time, there would be more.”

The 70-year-old asked the student to send more pics but she refused.

Meanwhile, Inswasty convinced a second teen, whom he paid to clean his home once a week in Islandia, to send him a nude photo for $150.

He offered her an iPhone X in exchange for having sex with him but the teen said no.

The girl cleaned Inswasty’s home from January to March. She ratted him out to another math teacher, while the first victim told a friend, who reported the incident to a guidance counselor.

The alleged creep has taught at Central Islip since 2006. He has been suspended with pay   , according to ABC7.

He is charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and is free  after being issued a desk appearance ticket.

Hart left open the possibility of more serious charges, saying that the investigation is ongoing.

Police executed a search warrant on Inswasty’s home and recovered various electronics, including a camera, tripod, flash drives, iPhone, iPad and a computer, which authorities are reviewing.

“It’s really quite shocking, quite frankly, for an adult in that situation of trust to engage in this behavior and take advantage of these young women the way he did,” Hart said.

Inswasty couldn’t be reached.

Teacher keeps job after allegedly caught with girl student on lap

Farzad Ghelichkhani, 36

A Queens teacher caught in a dark classroom with a girl student allegedly sitting on his lap was spared his $90,500-a-year job, but slapped with a “final warning,” records show.

Farzad Ghelichkhani, 36, a biology teacher at John Adams HS in Ozone Park, was removed from the school after the May 2017 incident.

At a disciplinary hearing, he claimed the girl had asked to speak with him privately about personal problems and wanted the lights out because “she had a headache ,” records show.

A suspicious dean quickly unlocked the classroom door and barged in, trying to catch the teacher red-handed. She testified that she saw Ghelichkhani’s legs “wide apart,” and the girl “standing between his legs.”

Ghelichkhani testified that the girl “tripped and fell” onto his lap while showing him an injured finger, and her “butt may have hit my leg.”

Hearing officer Judith Pierce said Ghelichkhani never should have let the girl sit or stand so close to him in a room with the door locked.

But she rejected a Department of Education bid to fire the teacher, suspending him for six months without pay instead. “Future violations will result in termination,” she warned.

Ghelichkani, now in a pool of teachers who serve as substitutes, told The Post he maintains his innocence.

“People can twist the facts to get whatever results they desire and to make a situation look worse than it appears. I would never harm a child let alone another human being,” he said.

Firefighter once busted for sex with teen accused of head-butting wife
By Gina Daidone and Natalie Musumeci
August 24, 2018 | 1:49pm | Updated

An FDNY firefighter with a criminal record — including an arrest for having sex with a 13-year-old — was busted for head-butting his wife, police said Friday.

Leonardo Alfonzo, 38, was charged with criminal mischief and harassment for the 10:30 p.m. Thursday attack outside the couple’s Staten Island home, cops said.

Alfonzo allegedly head-butted the 34-year-old victim after yelling in her face and breaking the chain of her purse and necklace, police said.

He was collared about an hour after the incident.

In March 2000, when Alfonzo was 19, he was nabbed for having sex with a 13-year-old girl and charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said.

Alfonzo ultimately pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child in the case and was ordered to serve three years of probation, according to the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office.

It was not clear how Alfonzo knew the minor.

Roughly six months later, on Sept. 29, 2000, Alfonzo was arrested again, but that bust was sealed, according to authorities.

Despite his arrests, Alfonzo, a father of three, was hired by the FDNY.

The FDNY did not immediately return a request for comment.

Alfonzo made a total salary of $124,295 in 2017, according to data posted by SeeThroughNY.

His latest arrest comes a day after an FDNY lieutenant was busted in a domestic violence incident.

Lt. Daniel Jackson, 39, was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly punching his wife in the face and throwing her into the bushes nearby their Bronx home.

Jackson was charged with assault and harassment.
