Between presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s calls for firearm confiscation and the draft Democratic Party Platform, the 2020 Democratic ticket was already shaping up to be the most anti-Second Amendment in history. With Biden’s, or his team of able-minded handlers’, choice of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) for the vice-presidential slot, the Biden campaign, and the Democratic Party have cemented this ignominious distinction.

Biden’s advanced age and visible decline make this vice presidential decision even more concerning. A Harris presidency would be an existential threat to the Second Amendment and gun owners.

Harris Does Not Believe the Second Amendment Protects an Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms

As District Attorney of San Francisco, Harris signed on to an amicus curiae brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case District of Columbia v. Heller that argued the Second Amendment does not protect an individual right to keep and bear arms. The Heller case concerned a complete prohibition on the civilian ownership of handguns within the District of Columbia.

Advocating against the individual right to keep and bear arms, the brief argued,

courts have consistently sustained criminal firearms laws against Second Amendment challenges by holding that, inter alia, (i) the Second Amendment provides only a militia-related right to bear arms, (ii) the Second Amendment does not apply to legislation passed by state or local governments,

According to the document, the Second Amendment does not protect an individual right, but rather, the lower court in Heller“create[d]” this right. The brief stated,

The lower court’s decision, however, creates a broad private right to possess any firearm that is a “lineal descendant” of a founding-era weapon and that is in “common use” with a “military application” today.

Anticipating the U.S. Supreme Court’s move in the next landmark Second Amendment case (McDonald v. Chicago), Harris’s brief reiterated that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms should not be incorporated to the states. Had this thinking been adopted, state and local governments would be empowered to curtail or even extinguish gun rights without restraint. State and local governments would have been able to bar their residents from owning any firearms whatsoever.

Harris’s extreme views on the U.S. Constitution were again born out in her votes against President Donald Trump’s pro-Second Amendment nominees for the U.S. Supreme Court. On September 4, 2018, Harris delivered a speech to the Senate where she cited Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s fidelity to the correct interpretation of the Second Amendment as a reason for her opposition to his confirmation.

With this track record, gun owners could expect a president Harris to nominate U.S. Supreme Court justices and lower court judges that share her discredited view of the Second Amendment.

Harris Intends to Ban and Confiscate Commonly-Owned Firearms

Harris has repeatedly supported a ban on commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms.

Harris is a co-sponsor of Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-Calif.) Assault Weapons Ban of 2019 (S.66). During the previous Congress, Biden’s VP pick supported Feinstein’s Assault Weapons Ban of 2017 (S.2095) Sold as a reinstatement of the failed 1994 Clinton semi-auto ban, S.66 is, in fact, a far more sweeping attack on Second Amendment rights.

The bill would ban the importation, sale, manufacture, transfer, and possession of commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms like America’s most popular rifle, the AR-15. The 1994 ban prohibited firearms capable of accepting a detachable magazine that were equipped with two items from a list of enumerated features –such as a collapsible stock, pistol grip, or threaded barrel. S.66 would prohibit firearms capable of accepting a detachable magazine that have only one of the offending features. Moreover, the list of features has been expanded to target a wider array of firearms.

The bill would also ban the importation, sale, manufacture, transfer, and possession of magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition. This measure would prohibit the standard magazines of the most popular handguns in the country.

However, Harris has made clear that Feinstein’s broad attack on the Second Amendment does not go far enough for her liking. S.66 would grandfather firearms and magazines currently possessed by American gun owners. Harris wants gun confiscation.

At a campaign event in Londonderry, N.H. in early September, then-presidential candidate Harris told reporters that confiscation of commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms was “a good idea.” Elaborating on her support for a compulsory “buyback” program, the senator added, “We have to work out the details — there are a lot of details — but I do…We have to take those guns off the streets.”

On the September 16 edition of the “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, ”Harris reiterated her support for gun confiscation. During a question and answer session, an audience member asked Harris “Do you believe in the mandatory buyback of quote-unquote assault weapons and whether or not you do, how does that idea not go against fundamentally the Second Amendment?”

The candidate responded, “I do believe that we need to do buybacks.” Making clear that she believes America’s Second Amendment is for sale, the senator added “A buyback program is a good idea. Now we need to do it the right way. And part of that has to be, you know, buyback and give people their value, the financial value.”

Further demonstrating Harris’s commitment to gun confiscation, the candidate called for a “mandatory buyback program” during an October 3 MSNBC gun control forum and again during a November interview with NBC Nightly News.

Harris Would Abuse Executive Power to Illegally Attack Gun Rights

In their eagerness to burden gun owners, the Barack Obama administration stretched existing federal law to its limits. In late 2015, White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Shultz told reporters that Obama “has asked his team to scrub existing legal authorities to see if there’s any additional action we can take administratively,” adding, “The president has made clear he’s not satisfied with where we are, and expects that work to be completed soon.”Put another way, the Obama administration exhausted the legislative branch’s authority to unilaterally control guns.

Harris has proposed to use executive power to enact gun control in a manner that even the Obama administration understood was illegal.

According to Harris’s 2020 campaign website,

If Congress fails to send comprehensive gun safety legislation to Harris’ desk within her first 100 days as president – including universal background checks, an assault weapons ban, and the repeal of the NRA’s corporate gun manufacturer and dealer immunity bill – she will take executive action to keep our kids and communities safe

In other words, if Congress refuses to legislate in the manner she demands, Harris would break the law to legislate by decree.

Among her proposed executive actions would be a cap on the number of firearms an individual could privately transact in a year.

Present statute, 18 U.S.C. §922 requires that an individual “engaged in the business” of selling firearms register as a Federal Firearms Licensee and perform a background check prior to transferring a firearm to an unlicensed individual. “Engaged in the business” is further defined in 18 U.S.C. §921 to mean,

a person who devotes time, attention, and labor to dealing in firearms as a regular course of trade or business with the principal objective of livelihood and profit through the repetitive purchase and resale of firearms, but such term shall not include a person who makes occasional sales, exchanges, or purchases of firearms for the enhancement of a personal collection or for a hobby, or who sells all or part of his personal collection of firearms;

This language was explicitly adopted to avoid a numerical cap on the number of firearms an individual could privately transfer, instead of focusing on whether the person was engaged in the activity “with the principal objective of livelihood and profit.”Harris’s proposed executive action would violate the clear language of 18 U.S.C. §921.

The Obama administration explored this avenue of gun control and determined it was outside their authority. Rejecting a hard cap as untenable, the Obama administration opted to release a guidance document elaborating upon the circumstances under which a person must obtain a Federal Firearms License.

Harris has also made clear that she intends to abuse ATF’s firearm manufacturer and dealer licensing function to circumvent the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act and attack the gun industry. Other proposed executive actions include an illegal expansion of the prohibited persons categories and further restrictions on the importation of firearms.

With her rejection of the Second Amendment, advocacy for gun confiscation, and intent to ignore existing firearms law, Harris is a singular and despotic danger to gun owners. Devoid of any respect for the U.S. Constitution, the legislative process, and the rule of law, Harris has proven herself unfit for office.

Washington Post Headline Celebrates Homeland Of Kamala Harris’ Father. Here’s What Her Father Said About Her.

08:01 - News

link: http://www.stationgossip.com/2020/08/washington-post-headline-celebrates.html

In an odd attempt to boost Democrat vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris, The Washington Post ran an article titled: “Kamala Harris’s dad was from Jamaica, where a fierce woman warrior once fought slavery.”

The article begins:

She was a warrior — the Harriet Tubman of Jamaica.

As Republicans question whether Democratic vice-presidential candidate Sen. Kamala D. Harris (Calif.), whose father was an immigrant from Jamaica and whose mother was an immigrant from India, is Black or even a descendant of enslaved Black people, they may want to consider the remarkable history of Nanny of the Maroons, a national hero in Jamaica.

Harris’ picture appears at the top of the article next to a photo of Nanny on the Jamaican $500 bill. Nanny is an impressive woman, but she is in no way related to Kamala Harris or her father. The Post could have simply written an article about a great woman or picked any random person who is an immigrant or who has an immigrant parent and found an impressive historical figure from their country of origin.

As an example, the Post could have written an article titled, “Donald Trump’s mom was from Scotland, where a fierce warrior once fought for freedom.” The warrior in question is William Wallace (many may know his name from “Braveheart”). Wallace has no connection to Trump whatsoever, and tying the two together makes no sense.

The other, more glaring problem with bringing Harris’ father into the arena is the fact that the last thing he said about his daughter was not pleasant. In early 2019, Harris appeared on a radio program called “The Breakfast Club” and told host Charlamagne tha God that she smoked marijuana in college. When asked whether she’s against marijuana legalization, Harris joked: “Half my family is from Jamaica. Are you kidding me?”

Her joke about Jamaica apparently did not sit well, as her father, Donald Harris, an economics professor at Stanford University, provided a statement to Jamaica Global Online in which he called his daughter’s remarks a “travesty.”

“My dear departed grandmothers, as well as my deceased parents, must be turning in their grave right now to see their family’s name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics. Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty,” Donald said.

Soon after, Maclean’s reported at the time that Harris – who was still running for president in February 2019 – had released a campaign manifesto mentioning her father in the beginning before he disappeared on page 20 out of 300 and was never mentioned again.

None of this appears in the Post article about Nanny, nor is any attempt made to connect her to Kamala Harris besides several campaign-provided photos of Harris as a little girl with her Jamaican relatives.

Kamala Harris Furiously Backpedals Over Eliminating Private Health Insurance

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) slick-talked her way around the topic of eliminating private health insurance, after she received gentle pushback from ABC News' David Muir over her false claim that she doesn't want to eliminate private health insurance.

"I ask you this because you have pressure from the Left, you have pressure from the center, you’re trying to appeal to Republicans, and so on sort of the evolution on the issues when you talk about health care that you see eye to eye—do you see a day where private insurance would go away as you once proposed?" asked Muir.

"No," Harris claimed, despite her public record of supporting the elimination of private healthcare.

"And in fact that my plan, when I was running, was that we would not eliminate private insurance," she continued - adding "And Joe and I --"

"Even though you signed on for Medicare for All?" Muir interjected - to which Harris performed a whiplash-inducing pivot.

"I signed on to that. I signed on to a number of bills that were about great ideas to fix the problem," she replied. "I want to fix the problem. And Joe has a plan to fix the problem, and I’m fully supportive of it."

The Daily Wire's Ryan Saavedra notes Harris's very public stance on eliminating private health insurance - which she's casually discarded heading into the 2020 election (emphasis ours):

* * *

Harris was “the first Democrat to announce she’ll co-sponsor Sen. Bernie Sanders’ single-payer health care bill when it’s introduced in September,” CNN reported in 2017.

The New York Times reported in March 2019:

At the heart of the “Medicare for all” proposals championed by Senator Bernie Sanders and many Democrats is a revolutionary idea: Abolish private health insurance. …

But doing away with an entire industry would also be profoundly disruptive. The private health insurance business employs at least a half a million people, covers about 250 million Americans, and generates roughly a trillion dollars in revenues. Its companies’ stocks are a staple of the mutual funds that make up millions of Americans’ retirement savings. …

Senators Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Kamala Harris of California, and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts co-sponsored Mr. Sanders’s bill in the last Congress. …

The concept, in broad strokes, appeals to many Democratic voters. But overall support diminishes by a third or more when people are told that the plan would involve eliminating private insurance, raising taxes, or requiring waits to obtain medical care, according to surveys from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

During a debate in June 2019, the candidates were asked “Who here would abolish [employer-provided] health insurance in favor of a government-run plan?” Harris raised her hand, but then tried to walk it back the next day.

In an 2019 NBC News report titled, “Kamala Harris wants to end private health insurance, a new Democratic litmus test,” NBC News highlighted remarks that Harris made during a town hall event.

“The idea is that everyone gets access to medical care, and you don’t have to go through the process of going through an insurance company, having them give you approval, going through the paperwork, all of the delay that may require,” Harris said. “Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on.”

The next day, Harris again tried to walk back her remarks after facing backlash from other Democrats who said that they did not support it.

In short, they're trying to play both sides - and the left has begun to notice.

Rand Paul Delivers Blistering Foreign Policy Attack: "Biden Will Choose War Again"

Among the most notable highlights at last night's Republican National Convention, Senator Rand Paul delivered a blistering take down of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's foreign policy, which Paul linked to multiple wars under Democrat administrations spanning decades (going back to Clinton's bombing of Serbia).

“I fear Biden will choose war again,” Paul asserted. “He supported war in Serbia, Syria, Libya. Joe Biden will continue to spill our blood and treasure. President Trump will bring our heroes home.”

“If you hate war like I hate war, if you want us to quit sending $50 billion every year to Afghanistan to build their roads and bridges instead of building them here at home, you need to support President Trump for another term,” said Paul, who has long been a fierce critic of former President Obama's foreign policy, including overt intervention in Libya, and covert action toward destabilizing Syria.

He slammed Biden as a hawk who has “consistently called for more war” and with no signs anything would be different.

Interestingly, Sen. Paul has also in the recent past led foreign policy push back against President Trump - especially over the two times Trump has bombed Syria following alleged Assad chemical attacks, which Paul along with other anti-interventionists across the aisle like Tulsi Gabbard questioned to begin with.

But it appears Paul is firmly supportive of Trump's newly released 50-point agenda for his second term outlining the Commander-in-Chief will “stop endless war” and ultimately bring US troops “home.” The plan still emphasized, however, the administration will “maintain” US military strength abroad while 'wiping' out global terrorism.

“President Trump is the first president in a generation to seek to end war rather than start one. He intends to end the war in Afghanistan. He is bringing our men and women home. Compare President Trump with the disastrous record of Joe Biden, who has consistently called for more war,” Paul said further.

Back during the primaries in 2016, Paul and Trump sparred intensely over national security questions:

— Acyn Torabi (@Acyn) August 26, 2020
He also highlighted Biden's unrepentant yes vote to go to war in Iraq.

“I’m supporting President Trump because he believes as I do that a strong America cannot fight endless wars. We must not continue to leave our blood and treasure in Middle East quagmires,” Paul concluded.

Elsewhere in the approximately four-minute speech, Paul said Trump will fight "socialists poisoning our schools and burning our cities."

Trump’s Plain Talk: ‘If Left Wins, They Will Confiscate Guns, Wipe Away 2nd Amendment

By PatriotRising -

trump second amendment
President Donald Trump made it clear during his acceptance speech on the White House lawn that a Joe Biden victory in November will be bad news for American gun owners and the Bill of Rights.

“If the left gains power,” the president warned, “they will demolish the suburbs, confiscate your guns and appoint justices who will wipe away your Second Amendment and other constitutional freedoms.”

It was one of two references Trump made about the right to keep and bear arms during his speech on the final night of the virtual Republican National Convention. Writing for the Detroit Free Press, reporter Todd Spangler described the speech as “long on exaggerated claims and fear-mongering.”

But even a cursory glance at Biden’s “plan to end gun violence” suggests the president wasn’t exaggerating at all. AmmoLand News took a hard look at the Biden plan here, which the establishment media apparently hasn’t done.

In the audience of about 1,500 people was Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation and chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Trump reminded his audience and viewers across the country about his success in filling federal court vacancies, soon to be 300+, including two seats on the U.S. Supreme Court. A second term would allow him to possibly fill one or two more high court positions.

By no small coincidence, Gottlieb referred to the president’s court appointments in a CCRKBA news release on the first day of the convention.

“Donald Trump,” Gottlieb observed, “has fulfilled one of his most important campaign pledges to America’s 100 million gun owners. The president has been filling federal court vacancies with experienced, constitutional judges who understand the Second Amendment means what it says.”

Underscoring this point was the opinion issued just days ago in the California case of Duncan v. Becerra, striking down the state’s ban on so-called “large-capacity magazines” as a violation of the Second Amendment. The opinion was authored by Circuit Judge Kenneth K. Lee, a Trump appointment.

While Trump’s speech is being savaged by the establishment media, it should be noted that, once again, the president made a point of mentioning the Second Amendment and the importance of protecting it.

He habitually refers to the amendment in public appearances, typically noting it is under constant threat from the political Left.

Near the end of his one hour and ten-minute speech, the president stated, “And if we don’t win, your Second Amendment doesn’t have a chance. I can tell you that. I have totally protected it.”

The president made a comment that could become the lightning rod slogan for his campaign.

“Tonight I ask you a simple question,” he challenged from a stage largely backed and flanked by American flags. “How can the Democrat party ask to lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?”

That observation brought a standing ovation, one of many by the audience during the late evening acceptance speech.

Trump quickly followed the question with a blunt assessment.

“In the left’s backward view,” he stated, “they do not see America as the most free, just and exceptional nation on earth. Instead they see a wicked nation that must be punished for its sins. Our opponents say that redemption for you can only come from giving power to them. This is a tired anthem spoken by every repressive movement throughout history.”

While it was long—a fact on which most observers agree—Trump’s acceptance speech hit the right tone with his base, and pulled no punches in its contrast with what a Democrat victory in November could mean. President Trump predicted the nation will suffer if Biden and his running mate, anti-gun Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) win Nov. 3.

What it will mean to gun owners and the Second Amendment seems clear. Filling federal court vacancies with conservative judges will cease. If there are vacancies on the Supreme Court, they would be filled with liberal justices. New restrictive gun regulations could be signed into law, including a permanent ban on so-called “assault weapons.”

The campaign will shift into high gear following the Labor Day weekend, not just for the White House, but for the U.S. House of Representatives, several seats in the U.S. Senate, and nearly all state legislatures and some governorships.

The critical involvement of gun owners is underscored by the creation of “Gun Owners for Trump,” launched just days ago as part of the overall Trump re-election campaign.

There are 18 members on the board including CCRKBA’s Gottlieb, plus Barrett Firearms President Ronnie Barrett, Olympic gold medalist Kim Rhode, competition shooters Gabby Franco and Lanny Barnes; Rick Ector, CEO at the Firearms Academy of Detroit; Amy Robbins, CEO at Alexo Athletica and TV host; retired Army Sgt. Major Kyle Lamb; Eye on the Target radio host Amanda Suffecool; author and motivational speaker Marsha Petrie Sue; Neil Hogue, with Hogue Knives and firearms accessories, along with Matthew Gomez, Thibault Bowman, Mia Rhode, Barbara Rumpel, Esther Schneider, Beth Walker, and Linda Walker.

Their primary mission will be to get out the “gun vote” in November, an effort also being pushed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Biden Says Today: “Do I Look Like a Radical Socialist with a Soft Spot For Rioters?” – After His VP Pick Kamala Harris Helped Bail Rioters Out of Jail (VIDEO)

77-year-old Joe Biden left his basement on Monday and traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a campaign speech.

After remaining silent for months, Biden came out on Monday and blamed Trump for the left-wing violence happening in Democrat-run states and cities.

Biden laughably tried to look like a tough ‘law and order’ candidate.

“Ask yourself, do I look like a radical socialist with a soft spot for rioters? Really?” Biden said. “I want a safe America…”

WATCH: [see site link, above

Perhaps a reporter should ask Biden about his own VP pick Kamala Harris helping bail rioters out of jail.

In June, Kamala Harris tweeted out a link to a nonprofit to help bail rioters out of jail.

Biden’s campaign staffers donated to a non-profit that helped bail violent criminals out of jail.

A Minnesota non-profit dubbed “Minnesota Freedom Fund” received $35 million in donations during the George Floyd riots and Biden’s campaign staffers were among the people who made substantial donations.

Here is just a few of the violent criminals Biden’s team (including Kamala Harris) helped bail out of jail:

Darnika Floyd is an accused murderer who was in jail for stabbing a man to death.

Jaleel Stallings is an attempted cop killer who was in jail for firing at police during the George Floyd riots.

Donovan Boone is a violent fugitive who was in jail for breaking and entering and attempting to strangle his ex-girlfriend.

Christopher Boswell is a serial rapist who was in jail on sexual assault and kidnapping charges.

Secret Service Admits To Destroying Records In Alleged Biden Breast-Grabbing Incident

The agent also claimed Biden would walk around naked in the VP residence

In 2017, the Gateway Pundit‘s Cassandra Fairbanks published a claim from an anonymous former Secret Service agent who said that they had to protect female agents from Joe Biden due to “Weinstein level stuff,” referring to notable rapist and Democrat, Harvey Weinstein.

“We had to cancel the VP Christmas get together at the Vice President’s house because Biden would grope all of our wives and girlfriend’s asses,” said the former agent, adding “He would mess with every single woman or teen. It was horrible.”

The agent also claimed Biden would walk around naked in the VP residence.

“I mean, Stark naked… Weinstein level stuff.”

“According to the source, a Secret Service agent once got suspended for a week in 2009 for shoving Biden after he cupped his girlfriend’s breast while the couple was taking a photo with him. The situation got so heated, the source told Cassandra Fairbanks, that others had to step in to prevent the agent from hitting the then-Vice President.”

Owen explains why the entire Joe Biden campaign is nothing but a sham.

Here’s why you’re reading this now…

While the MSM simply ignored the alleged breast-grabbing incident, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA request...

…and were told the file was destroyed.

In other words, something happened, and the Secret Service just confirmed it.

Via Judicial Watch:

Judicial Watch’s FOIA request, made on May 12, 2020, sought:

All records related to a reported incident in 2009 in which a United States Secret Service Agent reportedly was involved in an altercation with, or attempted to strike, then Vice President Joe Biden during a photo opportunity.

The records sought shall include, but not be limited to, witness statements, the Agent’s statement, victim’s statement, alleged perpetrator’s statement, incident reports, investigative reports, communications among USSS personnel regarding the incident, and disciplinary records related to the incident for the Agent in question.

In a July 13, 2020 response to Judicial Watch’s request, the Secret Service appeared to confirm that a file on the alleged incident existed at some point, asserting, “[T]here are no responsive records or documents pertaining to your request in our files,” because “the above mentioned file(s) has been destroyed” due to “retention standards.” The Secret Service added that, “[n]o additional information is available.” It did not deny the incident had occurred. In its lawsuit, Judicial Watch intends to test the Secret Service’s assertion that it destroyed all records about the incident.

“We had not been able to confirm whether the report about the alleged altercation might be true until the Secret Service itself suggested it destroyed records about the incident,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Biden Kenosha Meeting Derails As Woman Admits She Was Given Scripted Question

The Biden campaign has apparently been caught red-handed giving out scripted questions at a community meeting in Kenosha.

“I Was Told To Go Off This Paper But I Can’t”

Former Vice President Biden traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin this week to see how the city was dealing with the riots and severe civil unrest that followed the shooting of Jacob Blake last month. His campaign team had set up a meeting for community members to ask him questions, but it was derailed after one attendee admitted to being handed a script.

“I’m going to be honest Mr Biden, I was told to go off this paper but I can’t,” the woman said. “We need the truth, and I am part of the truth. I was born here, raised here… I have to give you the truth of the people, and the truth of the matter is, we are heavily angry, not angry as to where people say ‘oh they’re protesting’, there’s a difference between a protestor and a rioter.”

Omg. @JoeBiden campaign is giving out questions for people to ask, which he then answers by reading his notes.

His media appearances are so scripted, I'm sure @VinceMcMahon would blush. https://t.co/spNdQcu6ca

Biden: “Look, Venezuela Topline Message”

This follows a theme of the Biden campaign relying on scripted questions and remarks, although these have mostly been given to the candidate himself. On Tuesday, during an interview discussing Latin American politics with NBC 6’s Jackie Nespral, Biden accidentally read the header, “Venezuela topline message,” off of his teleprompter.

“I understand that Cuba along with Russia and China has contributed to the political impasse in Venezuela as well. What’s the president doing? Look, Venezuela topline message is President Trump’s policy is an abject failure,” Biden said.

LISTEN TO STORY 3:07

During an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Watters’ World,” Breitbart News senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer, discussed his forthcoming documentary, “Riding the Dragon: Uncovering the Bidens’ Chinese Secrets.”

Schweizer laid out Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s ties to Communist China, which he warned could have national security implications for the United States.

WATTERS: One of the biggest bombshells involves one of Hunter’s partners trying to steal US secrets, and Hunter himself bypassing laws that benefited the Chinese military.

Joining me now with an inside look at “Riding the Dragon: Uncovering the Biden’s Chinese Secrets,” Peter Schweizer.

All right, Peter, this is based on corporate records, financial documents, legal briefings, and court papers. This is not conjecture. This is what you found, and you can substantiate.

What are the main headlines from your research that you can see in this documentary?

SCHWEIZER: Well, the main headlines, Jesse are these: that the Bidens made a lot of money, courtesy of the Chinese government. We’re not talking about Chinese businesses — the Chinese government. This happened while Joe Biden was the point person on Obama administration policy towards China.

But this is not just rank and file corruption that we’ve gotten used to. This is not the Chinese takeout version of typical corruption because, in addition to the Biden’s making money, Jesse, what happened is, Hunter Biden entered into a business partnership.

He was on the Board of Directors of a Chinese investment firm called BHR that was funded by the Chinese government, and what did they do? They started acquiring companies that were beneficial to the Chinese military.

They were an anchor investor in something called China General Nuclear, which ended up being charged by our FBI for stealing nuclear secrets in the United States. They ended up buying part of an American dual-use technology company, meaning it produces technology that has civilian and military application. They ended up buying that for the benefit of the Chinese military.

So this is not a corruption case of let’s say victimless crime where it’s just some politician’s kid getting rich. This has very real national security implications, and the Bidens were prepared and willing to make money, even if it damaged our military posture vis-a-vis the Chinese who are our chief rivals on the global stage.

WATTERS: That sounds worse than Ukraine because Ukraine —

SCHWEIZER: Yes, it is much worse than Ukraine.

WATTERS: Military secrets being transferred and stolen. All right, Peter Schweizer, you can watch “Riding the Dragon: Uncovering the Biden’s Chinese Secrets” on Blaze TV. Thanks for coming on.

SCHWEIZER: Thank you.

TWISTED: Now that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are “anti-vaxxers,” the media is completely silent about it

When asked if she plans to get a Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination once they become available in late October or early November, vice presidential hopeful Kamala Harris publicly stated that she will not simply because she does not trust Donald Trump.

Implying that Trump himself created and is directly behind this upcoming vaccine, Harris suggested that it will probably not be safe or effective, and thus should be avoided. In other words, Harris, just like her running mate Biden, has become a vocal anti-vaxxer.

“It would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he’s talking about,” Harris is quoted as saying about what many are now describing as the “Trump administration vaccine.”

“I will not take his word for it,” she added. “I would not trust his word. I would trust the word of health experts, but not Donald Trump.”

Biden, during a separate interview, expressed similar sentiments, though he indicated that he will still get vaccinated for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) despite Trump being president.

At the same time, Biden has indicated in the past that he does not trust the safety or effectiveness of any Trump administration vaccine, and believes many Americans will turn it down because they do not trust the president.

“People don’t believe that [Trump] is telling the truth” about the vaccine, Biden is quoted as saying about the Operation Warp Speed vaccine candidates that the latest reports indicate could come to market as early as Nov. 1. “Therefore, they’re not at all certain they’re going to take the vaccine.”

Both of these statements by the two leading Democrats suggest that neither Biden nor Harris agree with “science,” seeing as how “scientists” within the Trump administration and at several large Big Pharma firms claim that whatever vaccines are released to the public will be safe and effective.

This declaration alone, which in the past has always been more than enough to constitute “science” in the eyes of Democrats, would seemingly warrant full support from both Biden and Harris. And yet both of them have expressed “anti-vaxxer” views that, unlike similar views espoused in the past by their Republican counterparts, are now getting a free pass by the media.

If Biden and Harris were Republicans, they’d be getting burned at the stake for expressing “anti-vaxxer” sentiments

The reason for this, of course, is that nothing Democrats say or do is ever scrutinized by the corporate media machine, even when that same corporate media machine routinely bashes Republicans for expressing doubts about the safety and effectiveness of childhood vaccines.

If Biden and Harris were Republicans, in other words, their statements objecting to Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination would earn them descriptors like “anti-science” and “crackpot.” We would never hear the end of it from the media about how they hate children and want grandma to die, etcetera ad nauseum.

But because they are Democrats, Biden and Harris could probably kill a puppy on live television and the gushing media would excuse it away, or even find a way to blame it on Trump. This is the world we now live in, which has become totally polarized even when it comes to facts and logic.

While we are certainly not proponents of any vaccine, including Trump’s Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines, the double standard here is startling. Perhaps this was Trump’s goal all along: to expose the Left as total hypocrites who are only against vaccination now that Trump is seemingly for it.

Whatever the case may be, the Democratic ticket is now anti-science, based on its own definition of anti-science, and few Democrats seem to care.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden called for a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines on Sunday, one day after a gunman ambushed and critically wounded two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies in their squad car in Compton.

“Weapons of war have no place in our communities,” Biden said in a tweet. “We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”

In an earlier tweet, the former vice president called for the perpetrator of the “cold-blooded” and “unconscionable” shooting to be brought to justice and said anyone who commits an act of violence “should be caught and punished.”

The 31-year-old female deputy and 24-year-old male deputy underwent surgery Saturday evening and were listed as in “critical” condition, Fox News reported. The search for the suspect continued on Monday.

President Trump suggested swift, harsh punishment for criminals who target law enforcement.

“Animals that must be hit hard!” Trump said in a tweet.

He later added, “If [the deputies] die, fast trial death penalty for the killer. Only way to stop this!”

At a roundtable campaign event in Las Vegas on Sunday, Trump expressed support for tougher criminal sentencing guidelines and faster courts and criticized his opponent for being weak on crime, according to Fox News.

“He’s not strong for law and order and everybody knows that,” Trump said. “When you see a scene like happened just last night in California with the two police people – a woman, a man – shot at stone cold short range.”

Kamala Harris accidentally talks about her plans for a 'Harris administration' during virtual roundtable... before quickly clarifying Joe Biden would be in charge

Kamala Harris has spoken of the 'Harris administration' during a virtual roundtable before quickly clarifying Joe Biden will be president.

Discussing the Democrat's plans for the economy the candidate for vice president said Saturday: 'A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States.'

She quickly clarified: 'The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners.'

Donald Trump has previously called Biden 'a Trojan horse for socialism'. Vice President Mike Pence has said: 'Joe Biden would be nothing more than a Trojan horse for the radical left.' Harris' slip up caused some online to suggest she had accidentally revealed the Democrat's plans for her to be in charge.

Twitter user @gertymars wrote: 'WOW!! What we all knew and she confirmed it.'

Daily Caller's Greg Price said: 'Uh oh, Kamala. You weren't supposed to say that part out loud!!'

Biden named California Sen. Harris as his running mate last month, making history by selecting the first Black woman to compete on a major party's presidential ticket.

The 55-year-old first-term senator, who is also of South Asian descent, is one of the party's most prominent figures. She quickly became a top contender for the No. 2 spot after her own White House campaign ended.

Trump, who had donated to her previous campaigns, argued she was 'about the most liberal person in the U.S. Senate.'

'I would have thought that Biden would have tried to stay away from that a little bit,' he said.

Harris had been talking to small business owners in Arizona when she made the gaffe, appearing to suggest she was top of the ticket.

Trump has previously said Biden is 'a puppet of Bernie Sanders, AOC and the radical left'. He has also frequently questioned Biden's cognitive abilities, challenged him to take a cognitive test and has called himself a 'very stable genius.'

In one of his favorite riffs to supporters at his campaign rallies, Trump pretends to be a lost Joe Biden trying to figure out what state he is in.

In May Biden referred to himself as a 'transition candidate'. But in August he said he will ‘absolutely’ serve two terms if elected president.

Harry Reid, the Democratic former Senate majority leader, told The New York Times: 'Joe being 77, I think people are going to look to see who is the person who could be the next president.

Former Senator Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota said of the VP nomination: 'This is really auditioning to be the next leader of the Democratic Party.'

Harris' slip up caused some online to suggest she had accidentally revealed the Democrat's plans for her to be in charge

In August Jill Biden was forced to defend her husband.

'I see Joe every single day. He's writing speeches. He's being briefed, making phone calls, he's doing zoom constantly, he's doing fundraisers. We go from nine in the morning till, gosh, 10, 11 at night I don't see any of that,' she said on ABC's 'Good Morning America.'

'I mean, Joe is totally engaged and you know Joe, I mean he just, he loves it. He's the, I guess, consummate politician,' she added.

She told NBC's Today show the attacks were 'ridiculous.'

Biden Post-Election Ukraine Phone Call Leaked: Undermined Incoming Trump Administration, Vowed To Keep Backchannel Open

LInk: http://www.scoopyweb.com/2020/09/biden-post-election-ukraine-phone-call.html

Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden takes questions from reporters after a virtual coronavirus briefing with medical professionals on September 16, 2020 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Had this been a Republican, the Left would be demanding a whole new round of impeachment trials.

In a leaked call from late 2016 between then-Vice President Joe Biden an then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, the former VP and current Democratic presidential nominee undermined the incoming Trump administration and set up a backchannel between himself and the Ukraine president.

The Federalist explained how the call is damaging to Biden and America’s national security, calling Biden’s efforts to undermine the Trump administration a form of “sabotage””

During the course of the call, Biden badmouthed the incoming administration, saying, “The truth of the matter is that the incoming administration doesn’t know a great deal about [Ukraine]” and that they were unprepared for the transition. This in itself is inappropriate, but it was meant to set the stage for Biden’s next statement and future plans.

Biden then told Poroshenko, “I don’t plan on going away. As a private citizen, I plan on staying deeply engaged in the endeavor that you have begun and we have begun.” In a matter of moments, Biden undermined the incoming administration, branded them as not knowing anything about Ukraine, and attempted to set up a foreign policy backchannel for himself after he left office as a private citizen, which could violate the Logan Act.

The Logan Act bars private citizens from engaging in U.S. foreign policy, although its constitutionality remains questionable and no person has ever been convicted of violating it since it was signed into law in 1799. Ironically, this is the same act that, at Joe Biden’s suggestion, the FBI accused National Security Advisor Michael Flynn of violating as a result of a discussion Flynn had with the Russian ambassador to the United States around nearly the same time as Biden’s call with Poroshenko.

Further, Biden told Poroshenko that he had “been somewhat limited on what I am able to tell [the Trump transition team] about Ukraine,” blaming the limitation on a supposedly late start to the transition process. As The Federalist reported, however, “we now know he said this at the same time the FBI and other U.S. intelligence agencies were conducting a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign’s contacts with Russia, known as ‘Crossfire Hurricane,’ of which Ukraine was a part.”

“So Biden, the sitting vice president of the United States, told a foreign leader whose country was part of a highly classified FBI counterintelligence investigation that there were things he couldn’t share about his country with the incoming administration and that they weren’t cleared. We now know from subsequent investigations that the Trump administration did not in fact collude with Russia, but at the time, Biden didn’t and he was privy to the fact that the FBI had opened the investigation,” The Federalist reported. “Additionally, it is mind-boggling that the vice president felt comfortable telling a foreign leader that there were things he was unable to tell the incoming administration at the same time the Department of Justice and the FBI failed to notify President-elect Trump of potential counterintelligence risks (that ended up not being true) posed by members of his campaign team who might join his administration in official capacities.”

Democrats spent months trying to impeach Trump over his own phone call with a Ukrainian president, even though a transcript showed no quid pro quo and the new Ukraine president himself said he felt no pressure from the U.S.

Will Michele Flournoy Be the Angel of Death for the American Empire?

Global Research, September 22, 2020

If the Democrats manage to push Joe Biden over the finish line in November’s election, he will find himself presiding over a decadent, declining empire. He will either continue the policies that have led the American empire to decadence and decline, or seize the moment to move our nation into a new phase: a transition to a peaceful and sustainable post-imperial future.

The foreign policy team Biden assembles will be key, including his choice for Secretary of Defense. But Biden’s rumored favorite, Michele Flournoy, is not the gal for this historic moment. Yes, she would break the glass ceiling as the first female Secretary of Defense, but, as one of the architects of our endless wars and record military budgets, she would only help to steer the American empire farther down its current path of lost wars, corrupt militarism and terminal decline.

In 1976, General John Glubb, the retired British commander of Jordan’s Arab Legion, wrote a little booklet titled The Fate of Empires. Glubb observed how each of the world’s empires evolved through six stages, which he called: the Age of Pioneers; the Age of Conquests; the Age of Commerce; the Age of Affluence; the Age of Intellect; and the Age of Decadence and Decline. Despite enormous differences in technology, politics and culture between empires and eras, from the Assyrians (859-612 B.C.) to the British (1700-1950 C.E.), the whole process in each and every case took about 250 years.

Americans can count the years from 1776, and few of us would deny that the American empire is in its Age of Decadence and Decline, riven by the very traits that Glubb identified for this stage, including systemic, normalized corruption, internal political hatreds, and a fascination with celebrity for its own sake.

The decline of an empire is rarely peaceful, but it does not always involve the invasion, destruction or collapse of the imperial heartland, as long as its leaders eventually face up to reality and manage the transition wisely. So it is tragic that the 2020 presidential election offers us a choice between two major party candidates uniquely unqualified to manage America’s post-imperial transition, both making vain promises to restore mythical versions of America’s past, instead of drawing up serious plans for a peaceful, sustainable and broadly prosperous post-imperial future.

Trump and his “Make America Great Again” represent the epitome of imperial hubris, while Biden pushes the time-worn idea that America should be “back at the head of the table” internationally, as if America’s neocolonial empire was still in its prime. With enough pressure from the public, Biden might be persuaded to start cutting the imperial military budget to invest in our real needs, from Medicare For All to a Green New Deal. But that’s unlikely if he picks Michele Flournoy, a die-hard militarist who has played instrumental roles in America’s failed wars and catastrophic imperial adventures since the 1990s.

Let’s look at her record:

As Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy under President Clinton, Flournoy was the principal author of the May 1997 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), which laid the ideological foundation for the endless wars that followed. Under “Defense Strategy,” the QDR effectively announced that the United States would no longer be bound by the UN Charter’s prohibition against the threat or use of military force. It declared that, “when the interests at stake are vital, …we should do whatever it takes to defend them, including, when necessary, the unilateral use of military power.”

The QDR defined U.S. vital interests to include “preventing the emergence of a hostile regional coalition” anywhere on Earth and “ensuring uninhibited access to key markets, energy supplies and strategic resources.” By framing the unilateral and illegal use of military force all over the world as “defending vital interests,” the QDR presented what international law defines as aggression, the “supreme international crime” according to the judges at Nuremberg, as a form of “defense.”

Flournoy’s career has been marked by the unethical spinning of revolving doors between the Pentagon, consulting firms helping businesses procure Pentagon contracts, and military-industrial think tanks like the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), which she co-founded in 2007.

In 2009, she joined the Obama administration as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, where she helped engineer political and humanitarian disasters in Libya and Syria and a new escalation of the endless war in Afghanistan before resigning in 2012. From 2013-2016, she joined Boston Consulting, trading on her Pentagon connections to boost the firm’s military contracts from $1.6 million in 2013 to $32 million in 2016. By 2017, Flourney herself was raking in $452,000 a year.

In 2017, Flournoy and Obama’s Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken founded their own corporate consulting business, WestExec Advisors, where Flournoy continued to cash in on her contacts by helping companies successfully navigate the complex bureaucracy of winning enormous Pentagon contracts.

She obviously has no compunction about enriching herself off of taxpayer money, but what about her actual foreign policy positions? Given that her jobs in the Clinton and Obama administrations were behind-the-scenes strategy and policy positions, she is not widely blamed for specific military disasters.

But the articles, papers and reports that Flournoy and CNAS have published for two decades reveal that she suffers from the same chronic malady as the rest of the Washington foreign policy “blob.” She pays lip service to diplomacy and multilateralism, but when she has to recommend a policy for a specific problem, she consistently supports the uses of military force that she set out to politically legitimize in the 1997 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR). When the chips are down, she is one more military-industrial hammer-banger to whom every problem looks like a nail waiting to be whacked by a trillion-dollar, high-tech hammer.

In June 2002, as Bush and his gang threatened aggression against Iraq, Flournoy told the Washington Post that the United States would “need to strike preemptively before a crisis erupts to destroy an adversary’s weapons stockpile” before it “could erect defenses to protect those weapons, or simply disperse them.” When Bush unveiled his official “doctrine of preemption” a few months later, Senator Edward Kennedy wisely condemned it as “unilateralism run amok” and “a call for 21st century American imperialism that no other country can or should accept.”

In 2003, as the ugly reality of “preemptive war” plunged Iraq into intractable violence and chaos, Flournoy and a team of Democratic hawks co-authored a paper titled “Progressive Internationalism” to define a “smarter and better” brand of militarism for the Democratic Party for the 2004 election. While portrayed as a path between the neo-imperial right and the non-interventionist left, it asserted that “Democrats will maintain the world’s most capable and technologically advanced military, and we will not flinch from using it to defend our interests anywhere in the world.”

In January 2005, as the violence and chaos of the hostile military occupation of Iraq spun farther out of control, Flournoy signed onto a letter from the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) asking Congress to “increase substantially the size of the active duty Army and Marine Corps (by) at least 25,000 troops each year over the next several years.” In 2007, Flournoy supported keeping a “residual force” of 60,000 U.S. troops in Iraq, and in 2008, she co-authored a paper proposing a policy of “Conditional Engagement” in Iraq, which Brian Katulis at the Center for American Progress dubbed “an excuse to stay in Iraq” that “poses as an exit strategy.”

As Obama’s Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, she was a hawkish voice for escalation in Afghanistan and war on Libya. She resigned in February 2012, leaving others to clean up the mess. In February 2013, when Obama brought in Chuck Hagel as a relatively dovish reformer to replace Leon Panetta as Defense Secretary, right-wing figures opposed to his planned reforms, including Paul Wolfowitz and William Kristol, backed Flournoy as a hawkish alternative.

In 2016, Flournoy was tipped as Hillary Clinton’s choice for Secretary of Defense, and she co-authored a CNAS report titled “Expanding American Power” with a team of hawks that included former Cheney aide Eric Edelman, PNAC co-founder Robert Kagan and Bush’s National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley. The report was seen as a view of how Clinton’s foreign policy would differ from Obama’s, with calls for higher military spending, arms shipments to Ukraine, renewed military threats against Iran, more aggressive military action in Syria and Iraq, and further increases to domestic oil and gas production—all of which Trump has adopted.

In 2019, four years into the catastrophic war in Yemen when Congress was trying to stop US participation and halt weapons sales to Saudi Arabia, Flournoy argued against a weapons ban.

Flournoy’s hawkish views are particularly worrisome when it comes to China. In June 2020, she wrote an article in Foreign Affairs in which she spun an absurd argument that an even more aggressive U.S. military presence in the seas and skies around China would make war less rather than more likely by intimidating China into limiting its military presence in its own backyard. Her article simply recycles the tired old device of framing every U.S. military action as “deterrence” and every enemy action as “aggression.”

Flournoy claims that “Washington has not delivered on its promised ‘pivot’ to Asia,” and that U.S. troop levels in the region remain similar to what they were a decade ago. But this obscures the fact that U.S. troops in East Asia have increased by 9,600 since 2010, from 96,000 to 105,600. Total U.S. troop deployments abroad have shrunk from 450,000 to 224,000 during this time, so the proportion of U.S. overseas forces allocated to East Asia has in fact increased from 21% to 47%.

Flournoy also neglects to mention that Trump has already increased the number of U.S. troops in East Asia by over 23,000 since 2016. So, just as she did in 2004, 2008 and 2016, Flournoy is simply repackaging neoconservative and Republican policies to sell to the Democrats, to ensure that a new Democratic president keeps the United States wedded to war, militarism and endless profits for the military-industrial complex.

So it is no surprise that Flournoy’s solution to what she presents as a growing threat from China is to invest in a new generation of weapons, including hypersonic and long-range precision missiles and more high-tech unmanned systems. She even suggests that the U.S. goal in this budget-busting arms race could be to invent, produce and deploy currently non-existent weapons to sink China’s entire navy and civilian merchant fleet (a flagrant war crime) in the first 72 hours of a war.

This is only one part of Flournoy’s larger plan for transforming the U.S. military through trillion-dollar long-term investments in new weapons technology, building on Trump’s already huge increase in Pentagon R & D spending.

In a September 10th interview with the Stars and Stripes military website, Joe Biden appeared to have already swallowed heavy doses of Flournoy’s Kool-Aid to wash down Trump’s Cold War. Biden said he does not foresee major reductions in the military budget “as the military refocuses its attention to potential threats from ‘near-peer’ powers such as China and Russia.”

Biden added, “I’ve met with a number of my advisors and some have suggested in certain areas the (military) budget is going to have to be increased.” We would remind Biden that he hired these unnamed advisors to advise him, not to predetermine the decisions of a candidate who still has to convince the American public he is the leader we need at this difficult time in our history.

Picking Michelle Flournoy to lead the Pentagon would be a tragic indication that Biden is truly hell-bent on squandering America’s future on a debilitating arms race with China and Russia and a futile, potentially catastrophic bid to resurrect America’s declining imperial power.

With our economy–and our lives–devastated by a pandemic, with climate chaos and nuclear war threatening the future of human life on this planet, we are in desperate need of real leaders to navigate and guide America through a difficult transition to a peaceful, prosperous post-imperial future. Michele Flournoy is not one of them.

Democrats Go All-Out for Israel

Sep 20 2020 / 1:35 pm

Link: https://councilforthenationalinterest.org/democrats-go-all-out-for-israel/

Joe is a Zionist and Kamala panders to Jewish donors [Kamala is MARRIED to a kike, suckers]

Those of us who have longed for an end to America’s military engagement in the Middle East have hoped for a candidate who was not tied hand and foot to Israel, which is the root cause of the badly-broken and essentially pointless U.S. foreign policy in the region. But the real tragedy is that in spite of Israel’s near-constant interference in government process at all levels in the United States, no candidate will mention it except in the most laudatory fashion. It will be praised as America’s best friend and closest ally, but the price the U.S. has paid for all that balderdash while it has simultaneously been turning itself into the slave of the Jewish state will never surface.

The Democratic Party leadership is owned by Israel through its big Jewish donors whose billions come with only one string attached, i.e. that the Jewish state must be protected, empowered and enriched no matter what damage it does to actual U.S. interests. Number one Israeli-American billionaire donor Haim Saban has said that he has only one interest, and that is Israel. How such a man can have major influence over American foreign policy and the internal workings of one of its two major parties might be considered the death of real democracy. At the Israel America Council’s National Conference Nancy Pelosi explicitly put Israel’s interests before America’s: “I have said to people when they ask me if this Capitol crumbled to the ground, the one thing that would remain is our commitment to our aid…and I don’t even call it aid…our cooperation with Israel. That’s fundamental to who we are.”

Jews are not surprisingly considerably over-represented in the Democratic Party Establishment. The influence of powerful Jewish Democrats recently insured that there would be no criticism of Israel, nor mention of Palestine, in the party platform for November’s election. So extreme is the virulence of some Jews against the Palestinians that a liberal Zionist Rabbi Mark Winer speaking at a Joe Biden rally in Florida recently denounced “progressives” as infected with the “anti-Semitism virus” over their support for Palestinian rights and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. No one even sought to challenge him. Another progressive Zionist Rabbi Jill Jacobs tweeted about how liberals have to embrace Israel to avoid offending Jews. She wrote: While Israel is likely the most divisive issue in the progressive world, setting a litmus test that one cannot consider oneself pro-Israel, or support two states, would divide the vast majority of Jews from the left. Not what we need when fighting white nationalism.

So-called white nationalists therefore appear to be the preferred enemies of progressive Jews, requiring one to close ranks even – or perhaps especially – when Palestinians are being brutalized. Joe Biden does not venture into that extreme-think zone, but he has made his loyalties clear. He has said that “You don’t have to be Jewish to be a Zionist. I am a Zionist.” More recently he has denounced Trump as “bad for Israel.” And to demonstrate his bona fides, he kicked Democratic Party Palestinian-activist Linda Sarsour under the bus when she appeared on a DNC convention panel discussing how to appeal to Muslim voters. Biden’s campaign office issued a statement saying that he “…has been a strong supporter of Israel and a vehement opponent of anti-Semitism his entire life, and he obviously condemns her views and opposes BDS, as does the Democratic platform. She has no role in the Biden campaign whatsoever.”

With that lead in, it is difficult to imagine how Biden would suddenly recognize the humanity of the long-suffering Palestinians, to include those who are, like he claims to be, Catholic. Biden is close to AIPAC and has spoken at their annual convention a number of times. He is opposed to putting any pressure on the Jewish state at any time and for any reason, which presumably includes not even protecting U.S. interests or the lives and property of American citizens.

Biden also worked for President Barack Obama and was a colleague in office of Hillary Clinton. Both did the usual pander to Israel and neither was particularly well disposed to the Palestinians, though Obama talked the talk of a man of peace so effectively that he was awarded a Nobel Prize. Bear in mind that Obama personally disliked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but he increased the money from the U.S. Treasury going directly to Israel to $3.8 billion per annum and guaranteed it for ten years, an unprecedented move. The fact is that money was and is illegal under American law due to the 1976 Symington Amendment, which banned any aid to any country with a nuclear program that was not declared and subject to inspection under the terms of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Obama, who claims to be a “constitutional lawyer,” surely was aware of that but rewarded Israel anyway.

One can expect nothing from Kamala Harris. Her husband is Jewish and she has made her career in California by sleeping with power brokers and pandering to Israel. She, like Biden, has been a fixture at the AIPAC annual conference. She has already made her mark with the party’s pro-Israel crowd by having a conference call with 1800 Jewish Democratic donors, during which she repeatedly assured them a Biden-Harris Administration will never resort to cutting current levels of aid over any “political decisions that Israel makes,” adding personally “…and I couldn’t agree more.” She promised to demonstrate what she described as “unwavering support” for Israel. She also reminded the donors that Joe Biden had been behind the “largest military aid package” to any country ever when President Obama signed off on the $38 billion package in 2016.

Optimists point to the fact that the Democrats have now elected a number of congressmen who are willing to criticize Israel and they also cite opinion polls that suggest that a majority of registered Democrats want fair treatment for the Palestinians without any major bias in favor of the Jewish state. In spite of a news blackout on stories critical of Israel, there is broad understanding of the fact that the Israelis are serial human rights abusers. But those observations matter little in a situation in which the top of the party, to include those who manage elections and allocate money to promising prospective candidates, identify as strongly and often passionately friends of Israel. That is not an accident and one can assume that major effort has gone into maintaining that level of control.

How exactly this fissure in the Democratic Party will play out after November is anyone’s guess and, of course, if Trump wins there will be an autopsy to find out who to blame. Israel certainly won’t be looked at because no one is allowed to talk about it anyway, but some progressives at least will demand a review of a foreign policy platform that was heavy on intervention and global democracy promotion and light on getting along with adversaries, making it largely indistinguishable from that of the Republicans.

Israel for its part has played its cards carefully. It knows that either Biden or Trump will do whatever it wants, but it has deferred its planned annexation of much of the Palestinian West Bank, which will now take place after the election. It did that knowing that otherwise some liberals in the Democratic Party might try to turn Israel into an issue and split the Jewish community while also alienating Jewish donorsand some Jewish voters if the annexation had taken place. After November 3rd, no matter who wins Israel will benefit and will have a free hand to do anything it wishes to the Palestinians. Or perhaps one should say the “remaining Palestinians” until they are all gone.

Joe Biden smashes his own $360m monthly fundraising record as his campaign changes course and says it WILL reach out to voters at their homes after halting door-knocks for the pandemic

After months of avoiding direct contact with voters because of the pandemic, Joe Biden's campaign is about to launch door-to-door canvassing across battleground states.

The sudden change in tactics comes as the campaign prepared to announce a stunning cash haul that exceeds the $364.5 million the campaign and the Democratic National Committee raised in August.

That amount includes an eye-popping $24 million raised on a single day, Sept. 30 – the day after the first presidential debate, the New York Times reported. Another $10 million came during prime time the night of the debate.

The decision comes amid growing concern from Democratic officials on the ground in key states who fear that Biden has been giving a significant advantage to President Donald Trump and his Republican allies, who have been aggressively courting voters at their doorsteps for months. The reversal also reflects a sense of rising urgency as polls tighten just a month before Election Day.

Just weeks ago, the Biden camp was contrasting its strategy, which relies on telephone and digital outreach amid the pandemic, even as Team Trump emphasized in-person voter contacts.

Democratic officials have been extremely critical of the GOP's tactics. Lily Adams, a spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee, tweeted in August that the Trump campaign was 'risking the lives of their staff, the lives of voters and risking becoming a super spreader organization during the middle of a pandemic.'

'We think what voters are looking for right now is responsible leadership and that comes from the VP and what he's saying, but it also comes from the campaign,' deputy states director for the campaign Molly Ritner told NPR in mid-September.

The reversal comes a day after Biden – who Trump regularly accuses of hiding out in his basement – took a train tour through Ohio and Pennsylvania and held events where groups of supporters turned out.

Biden´s campaign, which detailed the new effort to The Associated Press, insists that its existing phone and online voter outreach is effective. The new plans will build upon what's already in place, not replace it.

'Our voter contact operation is the most innovative and technologically advanced of any presidential campaign in history, and it has been thriving in this unprecedented environment,' Biden campaign manager Jenn O'Malley Dillon said.

'We´re now expanding on our strategy in a targeted way that puts the safety of communities first and foremost and helps us mobilize voters who are harder to reach by phone now that we´re in the final stretch - and now that Americans are fully dialed-in and ready to make their voices heard.'

Biden this weekend will dispatch several hundred newly trained volunteers to engage voters across Nevada, Michigan, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. The effort, focusing on voters who are considered difficult to reach by phone, is expected to spread quickly into several more battleground states and include many more volunteers.

Campaign officials and volunteers acknowledge their virtual-contact strategy had holes they're hoping to fill with in-person conversations.

'It´s just harder and harder to get people on the phone,' said Patrick Sullivan, a Biden volunteer who lives in suburban Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. 'So being able to go to someone's door and talk to them makes a big difference.'

Trump's campaign and allied Republican groups have been having in-person contacts with voters since at least June. Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel said over the summer that her team was knocking on roughly one million doors each week.

Republicans quickly seized on Biden's reversal.

'What changed? They know they're being hopelessly outworked on the ground, and down-ballot Democrats in key states have been freaking out about it,' Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh said. 'You can't just parachute in a month before the election and hope to make up ground.'

While Biden leads many polls, lingering questions remain about the commitment of his supporters to actually vote. To defeat Trump, Democrats will need strong turnout from every piece of his broad coalition, including groups that typically don't vote in large numbers, such as younger Americans and African Americans.

And with the pandemic still raging, voters in 2020 face unprecedented challenges in getting counted.

'It is possible that without the face-to-face-engagement, you may have a few voters who fall off,' said Mairi Luce, an attorney and a Biden volunteer who lives in Philadelphia. 'But passions run high on both sides, and a lot of people are motivated to vote. I don't think there are a lot of undecided voters out there.'

Ahead of the voter outreach expansion, Biden's campaign has already opened 109 supply centers across 17 battleground states to help distribute campaign literature, lawn signs and other materials for the canvassers.

Biden volunteers in Pennsylvania and Nevada began dropping campaign literature at voters' homes just last weekend, although they were instructed to avoid any direct conversations. Those conversations will begin this weekend following training sessions designed to ensure Biden's team can engage with people at doorsteps as safely as possible.

All volunteers involved will be provided personal protective equipment, including masks, and will have their temperatures checked. The campaign also plans to send text messages telling voters to expect a knock at their door before volunteers enter a neighborhood.

Biden's team is particularly focused on ensuring his supporters have updated information about how and where to vote as early as possible. Literature used in Pennsylvania in recent days, for example, encourages people to make a specific plan to vote - either by mail, in person early voting or in person on Election Day.

Pennsylvania, a state where Biden leads in the polls, is one where Republicans are planning to contest mail-in ballots. The GOP-run legislature just created a new 'election integrity' committee. Democratic party leaders there warn it could be the start of an attempt by the legislature to send Trump-backing electors to the electoral college if there are problems in the vote count.

Even before Biden executes his new plan, Democrats are leading Republicans in some early voting prodding. Registered Democrats have been issued far more mail and absentee ballots than Republicans in Florida, Iowa and Pennsylvania, according to data collected by The Associated Press.

Response rates from Democrats have also been higher.

Still, local Democratic officials have been concerned. Biden has also eschewed major rallies, events where during normal years party officials try to get voters to commit to a plan, offer them rides, and get them to sign commitment cards.

Just before news of Biden's decision broke, Philadelphia Democratic Party Chairman Bob Brady acknowledged he had worries when asked about the lack of in-person canvassing to date. He wasn't alone. Pennsylvania's Northampton County Democratic Party chair, Matt Munsey, recently warned of the limitations of phone outreach.

'One big difficulty is we don´t have phone numbers that reach everyone and a lot of people don´t answer the phone, especially unknown numbers, so it´s a limitation on being able to reach people,' Munsey said. 'And I think it´s harder, it can be difficult to have a really good conversation over the phone when you´re not talking face to face.'
