Weiner asks judge to delay sentencing for sexting scandal
By Priscilla DeGregory

Anthony Weiner is asking a Manhattan federal judge to delay the sentencing date in the case against him for texting a minor sexually inappropriate messages.

In a letter to Manhattan federal Judge Denise Cote, the disgraced former congressman requested that his Sept. 8 sentencing date be pushed back to Oct. 6 to give his attorneys more time to prepare a sentencing recommendation for the judge “that best addresses the need for continuing treatment,” his lawyer, Arlo Devlin-Brown, wrote.

The 52-year-old pleaded guilty in May to transferring obscene material to a minor, which could get him up to 10 years behind bars, though he will likely face far less time because of the plea deal he took.

Starting in January 2016, the scandal-plagued ex-lawmaker allegedly carried out a months-long relationship with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl — whose father told the Daily Mail that Weiner was aware of her age.

He would talk to her on Skype and text her using the name “T-Dog” and would tell her his fantasies about rape and ask her to dress up in a school uniform, the girl told the Mail.

Weiner is married to Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, who filed for divorce in May on the same day he pleaded guilty over the illicit correspondence with the underage girl.

The pair’s first divorce hearing is set for Sept. 13 after it was moved from an earlier June date to follow five days after his sentencing.

Huma broke down over Weiner’s sexting scandal

Huma Abedin broke down in tears and cried out that husband Anthony Weiner would “be the death of me” when she found out the FBI was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails after he got caught sexting with a young girl, according to a report Tuesday.

Abedin, a longtime top aide and confidant of Clinton, looked “stricken” when she learned the news, RadarOnline reported, citing an excerpt of Clinton’s book “What Happened.”

“This man is going to be the death of me!” she said while “bursting into tears,” Clinton writes in her new book that is scheduled to be published next Tuesday, the website reported.

“Anthony had already caused so much heartache,” Clinton writes in the tome. “And now this.”

FBI agents discovered emails from Clinton on Weiner’s computer after they confiscated it during an investigation into the disgraced former congressman’s sexting with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl in 2016.

Despite the renewed investigation and trouble for her presidential campaign, Clinton never considered dumping Abedin.

“She had done nothing wrong and was an invaluable member of my team,” the former secretary of state wrote. “I stuck by her the same way she has always stuck by me.”

Saying he has a “sickness,” Weiner pleaded guilty in May to transferring obscene material to a minor, requiring him to register as a sex offender.

He also faces time in prison.

Teen who sexted with Anthony Weiner speaks out

The teenaged girl whose sexting with Anthony Weiner helped shape the 2016 election is speaking out for the first time, telling Inside Edition that she played along with their creepy exchanges — until the disgraced pol included his young son in a bare-chested selfie he sent her.

At that point, “I was disgusted,” the teen says in the exclusive interview. “That was part of the reason I came forward.”

The teen, whose name is being withheld, says in an exclusive interview that she direct-messaged Weiner back in January 2016, as his wife, Huma Abedin, was at the peak of influence in the coming election as Hillary Clinton’s closest aide.

“I knew that Hillary Clinton would be running for president in the year 2016,” she tells Inside Edition. “I wanted to see if Anthony was still up to the same antics.”

She direct messaged him: “Hello, I’m a huge fan,” and Weiner snapped to attention, responding within “minutes,” she said.

Weiner soon moved past niceties, she said.

“He called me attractive,” she told the magazine, and wrote her, “You are kinda gorgeous” and “Your body is pretty insane.” Many of Weiner’s messages were too lewd to repeat, she said.

The teen also says that one day, over Skype, Weiner asked her to undress. Inside Edition isn’t letting on yet whether the teen says if she complied.

The 15-year-old North Carolinian eventually blabbed about the exchanges with a tabloid news site, prompting a federal investigation.

At one point, the FBI subpoenaed all of her electronic devices, she said.

And when the FBI examined the lewd, underage interactions on Weiner’s laptop, it also found a cache of emails from Abedin to Clinton — reopening the closed investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state.

Being married to Anthony Weiner was a roller coaster of “circumstances I never imagined,” wife Huma Abedin revealed in court documents unsealed Thursday.

Abedin, who is currently divorcing the pervy ex-congressman, penned the letter asking a judge to consider the couple’s young son when sentencing Weiner for sexting with a 15-year-old.

“This is not a letter I ever imagined I would write, but, with Anthony, I have repeatedly found myself in circumstances I never imagined,” Abedin wrote.

The longtime Hillary Clinton aide has been dragged through years of scandal since Weiner accidentally tweeted a picture of his underwear-couched erection in 2011. She finally filed for divorce this year after her hubby sobbingly admitted he shared X-rated messages with a 15-year-old girl.

The revelations were the latest in a string embarrassing incidents for the couple.

Weiner mounted a comeback bid for New York mayor in 2013, but his prospects softened when a woman named Sydney Leathers revealed he sent her raunchy messages under the pseudonym “Carlos Danger.”

In 2015, he was busted for sending a woman photos of his crotch — with his then-3-year-old son in bed next to him.

Weiner’s lawyers are trying to keep him out of jail, and the disgraced pol says he has turned over a new leaf after going to sex-addiction therapy.

“I’m different now,” he wrote to sentencing judge Denise L. Cote.

“By not getting help, by continuing to dishonor his mother, by living in shame and secrets, I was not teaching him courage,” he wrote of his relationship with his son. “But your honor, with your grace, I hope I will be able to tell him some more. I hope I will be there to show him with my actions that, although I will carry the regret, I will also be better.”

Lawyers plea to keep ‘weak’ and ‘sick’ Anthony Weiner out of jail
By Joe Tacopino
September 14, 2017 | 12:36am

Anthony Weiner’s lawyers cast him as a “weak man” in a “self-destructive spiral” when he exchanged “sexually explicit” messages with a teenage girl, who they described as “profit seeking,” according to a new court filing.

A sentencing memorandum filed late Wednesday hopes to keep the disgraced congressman out jail, claiming he was “the depths of an uncontrollable sickness” in 2016 when the underaged sext session took place.

“This crime is a product of a sickness,” the memo read. “No one can dispute that Anthony’s operatic self-destruction, of which the instant case has been but the final act, was born of deep sickness.”

The memo filed in Manhattan Federal Court were in preparation for Weiner’s Sept 25 sentencing.

The lawyers asked for no jail time as their filing brags about his “remarkable career in public service” and laments his “troubled childhood.”

The legal filing also portrays Weiner as the victim of a young girl who eventually “sold her story to a British tabloid for $30,000” the papers said.

“He responded to the victim’s request for sexually explicit messages not because she was a teenager, but in spite of it,” it reads.

“He responded as a weak man, at the bottom of a self-destructive spiral, and with an addict’s self-serving delusion that the communications were all just internet fantasy.”

The lawyers said that Weiner is in recovery and asked for a sentence of probation.

Weiner convinced teen to strip, fondle herself on Skype: feds

Disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner repeatedly convinced an underage girl to get naked and fondle herself while he watched over the internet, federal prosecutors revealed in a court filing Wednesday.

Legal papers filed ahead of Weiner’s sentencing next week say the serial sexter took part in three video chat sessions via Skype during which the girl “made clear that she was not just a minor — she was, in fact, only 15 years old.”

“That did not stop Weiner,” the feds wrote.

“During the latter two Skype sessions, on February 18 and 23, 2016, and in a Shapchat communication on March 9, the defendant used graphic and obscene language to ask the Minor Victim to display her naked body and touch herself, which she did.”

Weiner, 53, also sent the girl an “obscene message” using an app called Confide, in which he described “what he would do to her, if she were 18,” court papers say.

“Part and parcel of these disturbing — and criminal — exchanges, the defendant also sent the Minor Victim adult pornography,” according to the feds.

Weiner pleaded guilty in May to transferring obscene material to a minor and faces up to 10 years in prison when he’s sentenced Monday.

He and estranged wife Huma Abedin last week asked Manhattan federal Judge Denise Cote to spare him any time in the slammer so he can care for their son, but prosecutors Wednesday said Weiner deserves to get locked up for between 21 and 27 months.

“Although the defendant’s self-destructive path from United States Congressman to felon is indisputably sad, his crime is serious and his demonstrated need for deterrence is real,” prosecutors Amanda Kramer and Stephanie Lake wrote.

Weiner has an ‘average’ chance of sexting a minor again
By Kaja Whitehouse

Anthony Weiner, who will be sentenced Monday for sexting with a minor, has an “average” risk of reoffending, according to a newly unsealed document released late Friday.

“Tests indicate that if left in the community, Anthony would have an ‘average’ risk of reoffending ,” according to the unsealed letter by his psychotherapist, Paul Kelly.

Kelly attributed this “average” rating an assessment done by Weiner’s court-appointed shrink, Dr. Shoshanna Must — but made a point of noting that “average” equates to 7.5 percent.

“Average in this case means only  a 7.5 percent chance” — not 50/50, Kelly said.

“This means that his assessments indicate that if left within the community there would be a 92.5 percent chance that Anthony would NOT have another legal sexual problem,” Kelly added.

The doctor said Weiner’s electronic devices — including his iPhone and iPad — have already been fitted with electronic monitoring software. His wife Huma’s desktop computer at home is also being monitored, according to the letter.

The disgraced ex-congressman faces as much as 10 years in the slammer when he is sentenced in Manhattan federal court on Monday for convincing a 15-year-old girl to undress and touch herself via Skype.

The government has recommended closer to two years in the slammer, however, amid doubts about whether he is a true-blue pedophile or just a sexting addict gone awry.

Weiner’s shrinks — there are three — have determined that he has a “sex addiction” tied to a compulsion to chat up mostly adult women online.

Weiner’s sexting has been making headlines for years — starting in 2011 when he resigned from congress after it first emerged that he was sending crotch shots on Twitter.

His attempted comeback with a run for NYC mayor in 2013 went up in flames when it emerged that he was still sexting under the alias “Carlos Danger.”

“I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse,” he said during his tearful guilty plea in May.

Anthony Weiner sentenced to 21 months in prison in sexting case

NEW YORK --
Former Rep. Anthony Weiner was sentenced Monday to 21 months in prison for sexting with a 15-year-old girl in a case that rocked Hillary Clinton's campaign for the White House in the closing days of the race and may have cost her the presidency.

Weiner, 53, dropped his head into his hand and wept ;)as the sentence was announced by Judge Denise Cote. He must surrender to prison officials by Nov. 6.

The sentencing completed the sordid downfall of the New York Democrat, whose penchant for exchanging lewd messages and photos with young women online destroyed his career in Congress in 2011, doomed his bid for mayor of New York in 2013, wrecked his marriage to Clinton's closest aide, Huma Abedin, and became entangled in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Admitting "I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse," Weiner pleaded guilty in May to transferring obscene material to a minor, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, for illicit contact with a North Carolina teenager.

He sought to be spared from prison, tearfully telling Cote on Monday that he was "a very sick man for a very long time." Weiner, weeping as he read from a written statement on a page he held in front of him, called his crime his "rock bottom."

A grim Anthony Weiner shuffled silently into court Monday morning to learn his fate for sexting with an underage girl.

Sporting a blue suit and gold tie, the once-press-loving ex-congressman struggled to skirt the media scrum as he walked wordlessly into Manhattan federal court, where he faces up to 10 years in the slammer for his lewd conversations with the 15-year-old.

Earlier, Weiner also avoided the press as he sneaked out of the Union Square pad he shares with soon-to-be ex-wife Huma Abedin and their young son.

The serial sexter jumped in the back of a green Ford Escape via the building’s parking garage and sat all alone in the back — keeping his tinted windows rolled up and ignoring questions from reporters.

Anthony Weiner’s driver brazenly blew four red lights in Manhattan on Monday — as he sped away from the courthouse where the disgraced ex-Congressman had just been sentenced to 21 months behind bars for sexting with an underage teen.

Weiner sat scowling in the back seat of a Ford Escape as his driver swerved along the Bowery, running reds in full view of cop cars and as pedestrians attempted to cross the street.

At one set of lights, the driver actually hesitated on amber — then put pedal to the metal when it switched to red.

Weiner broke down in tears as his sentence was handed down in court, but had composed himself by the time he arrived back to his Union Square building.

The convicted perv sported a sour look on his face as he evaded past the assembled reporters, slipping out of his car and quickly into his building alongside a security team.

Huma Abedin is finally free of Anthony Weiner.

The long-suffering former Hillary Clinton aide was a no-show at her sext-fiend husband’s sentencing Monday, leaving him to learn of his 21-month prison sentence alone.

But Weiner’s soon-to-be ex-wife — and their 5-year-old son, Jordan — were still a presence in the federal courtroom, as he brought them up while making a last-ditch plea for probation.

“Jordan has been my salvation. I always told myself if I get that one thing right, all else would be forgiven,” he said.

“Your honor, I realize now that by not being honest about how I continued to knock myself down, (how) I betray his amazing mother, I was teaching him the wrong things. I was hurting him instead of helping.”

Abedin filed for divorce earlier this year after the disgraced ex-congressman admitted to sexting with a 15-year-old girl — following years of embarrassment as he was repeatedly busted sending lewd messages and photos to other women, including a crotch shot that featured their then-toddler son in the background.

She sent a letter asking the judge in Weiner’s underage sexting case to consider their kid when sentencing.

“This is not a letter I ever imagined I would write, but, with Anthony, I have repeatedly found myself in circumstances I never imagined,” Abedin wrote.

Clinton recently revealed details of her aide’s private anguish in the presidential candidate’s tell-all memoir.

“This man is going to be the death of me!” Abedin said while “bursting into tears,” after learning of Weiner’s perverted messages to the minor, Clinton wrote.

“Anthony had already caused so much heartache,” Clinton added. “And now this.”

Weiner really doesn’t want to get stuck serving time in Brooklyn

Anthony Weiner wants to serve his 21 months in prison somewhere near his 5-year-old son — but not enough that he’s willing to risk getting locked up in a notorious Brooklyn slammer.

During the disgraced ex-pol’s sentencing on Monday, a defense lawyer asked Manhattan federal Judge Denise Cote to recommend that the Bureau of Prisons stick Weiner in its medium-security penitentiary in Minersville, Penn.

Lawyer Arlo Devlin-Brown said he hoped to avoid the possibility that Weiner, who pleaded guilty to sexting with an underage girl, could get sent to the maximum-security Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

“I think given the importance contact with his son has played in his recovery and holding him together, that would be extraordinarily detrimental,” Devlin-Brown said.

The MDC — currently home to convicted fraudster and reviled “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli — is infamous for its harsh conditions, which are currently the subject of a class-action lawsuit against the BOP.

But when Cote said she wouldn’t suggest “particular facilities” — and would only recommend “as close to the New York City area as possible” — Devlin-Brown immediately withdrew his request.

Cote allowed Weiner to remain free on $150,000 bond and ordered him to report to whatever prison the BOP picks for him on Nov. 6.

Weiner leaves court after being sentenced to 21 months in prison. Steven Hirsch

It’s hard time for Anthony Weiner.

The disgraced ex-congressman broke down crying as he was sentenced to 21 months in prison Monday for convincing a high school student to undress and touch herself via Skype in 2016.

“This was a serious crime. It’s a serious crime that deserves serious punishment,” Manhattan federal Judge Denise Cote said as the convicted sext fiend dropped his head into his hand and wept.

After the courtroom cleared, Weiner sat crying in his chair with his lawyers patting him on the back. His mom also sat crying on the bench behind him, sitting next to Weiner’s brother Jason and Weiner’s dad.

The serial sexter’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Huma Abedin, was nowhere to be seen.

In addition to his prison stint, Weiner was sentenced to pay a $10,000 fine for his crime, participate in sex offender outpatient treatment and spend three years on supervised release once his sentence is up.

He will have to surrender to his designated facility by Nov. 6 — his lawyer put in a request for Schuylkill Federal Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania, or another low-security prison near New York.

Weiner, 53, had faced as much as 10 years in the slammer after pleading guilty in May to one count of transferring obscene material to a minor. The feds said Weiner, a former congressman from Brooklyn, began a two-month sexting session with the North Carolina teen shortly after she messaged him on Twitter in January 2016.

He made a tearful last-minute plea for probation so he could continue his treatment, which includes sessions with Sex Addicts Anonymous.

“If I fail, I know what will happen,” Weiner said. “But with God’s grace, I will not.”

He argued that his online dalliance with the 15-year-old was due to his sick obsession with sexting strangers and addiction — rather than an obsession with underage girls — and claimed he had hit “rock bottom” and is now in recovery.

But prosecutors insisted that he needed to see the inside of a cell to get the message.

It’s just the latest chapter in the Democratic politician’s very public downfall, which started in 2011 when he was forced to resign from Congress following his first sexting scandal.

His 2013 run for NYC mayor also went up in flames when it emerged that he was still sexting under the alias “Carlos Danger.”

The feds said the latest and most insidious chapter of Weiner’s sexting problem began on the evening of Jan. 23, 2016, when a high school student messaged him on Twitter, prompting a flurry of “provocative” responses from the former public servant, who knew the teen was in high school, court papers show.

“As January turned to February, their intermittent exchanges grew more lascivious,” Manhattan federal prosecutors told the judge in court filings.

By the end of February, Weiner — who by this time knew the girl was only 15 — was video-chatting with her via Skype and using “graphics and obscene language” to ask her to “display her naked body and touch herself,” the feds said.

He also sent her “obscene material” on self-destructing messaging apps like Kik and Confide, including adult porn and a message “describing what he would do to her, if she were 18,” according to court filings.

In September 2016, the girl sold her story to British publication Daily Mail, and in May, he cried as he pleaded guilty to one count of sending obscene material to a minor.

Abedin finally filed for divorce on the same day he pleaded guilty.

Weiner and his wife have lied again, again and again
By Maureen Callahan
September 25, 2017 | 4:59pm | Updated

Standing before a federal judge Monday morning, Anthony Weiner sobbed as he faced sentencing for sexting a 15-year-old girl.

He had hit rock bottom, he told the judge. He was making amends to his wife, Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin, and their 5-year-old son Jordan. Public approbation no longer mattered to him, nor did his now-ruined political career nor his public reputation. He was once mentally diseased, but since his arrest in May by the FBI, no more.

The judge didn’t buy it, sentencing Weiner to 21 months in prison. It wasn’t for lack of trying on Weiner’s part though.

“I focus on how I live my new, smaller, healthier life one day at a time,” Weiner said. “I was a very sick man for a very long time. I have a disease but no excuse.”

How long we, the beleaguered public, have been hearing this, and how delusional of Weiner to think a judge, too, would believe him.

His years-long offend-repent-re-offend-really-repent cycle has only advanced over the years, the narrative becoming ever more sordid, his wife complicit in foisting him upon us and our politics.

We’ve been living with this pathetic soap opera for eight years now, when Weiner was forced to resign from Congress after news broke he’d been sexting women around the country, and had sent a bulging crotch shot to a 21-year-old college student.

Just 13 months later, he, new wife Abedin and their six-month-old son sat for a soft-focus People magazine cover story.

“I really do feel like a very, very different person,” Weiner said, offering pre-packaged quotes about his political aspirations.

“I’m very happy in my present life. The only next dramatic steps I’m planning on taking are Jordan’s first.”

Abedin, too, avoided politics and focused on their newfound, idyllic domesticity. “It took a lot of work to get to where we are today, but I want people to know we’re a normal family,” she said. “Anthony has spent every day since [the scandal] trying to be the best dad and husband he can be.”

The magazine noted, unironically, that Weiner did all the dirty laundry.

“I’m proud to be married to him,” Abedin said.

Less than one year later, in April 2013, the couple sat for an extensive and sympathetic interview with The New York Times Magazine, their political selves slightly more transparent. They weren’t using their baby son as a political shield, they said; they allowed him to be photographed merely to minimize paparazzi presence outside their apartment building. They spun Weiner’s actions as a sex scandal without the sex. They didn’t know if Hillary Clinton was planning a presidential run in 2016, or if Weiner was planning a mayoral run that year. No, they just wanted societal re-entry — they weren’t floating trial balloons or softening up suspicious voters.

“I don’t have this burning, overriding desire to go out and run for office,” Weiner said.

One month later, he announced he was running for mayor of New York City.

In the Times piece, Weiner noted that he’d spent the past two years forensically investigating his aberrant behavior. “Part of the challenge of getting to the bottom of it for me,” he said, “is that I viewed it as so frivolous that it didn’t spark a lot of, like, ‘OK, I started doing it on this day,’ or ‘OK, now I’m crossing a Rubicon’ . . . I think a lot of it came down to: I was in a world and a profession that had me wanting people’s approval.”

His therapist, he added, assured him he was not a sex addict. If only!

“She didn’t tell me: ‘You have a sex addiction! You were abused as a child!’ None of that stuff, which, in a lot of ways, I’d kind of prefer.”

Weiner and Abedin’s sophisticated PR strategy worked for a time: In June 2013, Weiner was leading in the mayoral polls. He told New York magazine that month he’d become newly successful because he’d “stopped lying.” In the same piece, he said he couldn’t write a memoir because publishers wanted him to have “some plotline, like my rise, my fall, how I bottom out, feel all this remorse, have an epiphany, and then come back.”

The redemption arc he and Abedin had been shilling for two years now, he admitted, wasn’t even true. “I’m supposed to be sorry, sorry in this way you’re supposed to be sorry . . . but I don’t know if it’s hitting me like that.”

Modal Trigger

Yet Weiner was so confident he allowed a documentary crew to follow him.

“He said he wanted to be viewed as the full person he was,” co-director Elyse Steinberg told GQ in 2016, “and not as a punchline.”

Of course, Anthony Weiner was unable to help himself, and Steinberg’s crew was there when the world met Carlos Danger, Weiner’s new online sexting alter-ego, who’d been sexting at least 10 women, including a 22-year-old named Sydney Leathers.

Here’s one sanitized exchange:

DANGER: May I tell you what i pondered yesternight?

LEATHERS: That would please me so very much.

DANGER: Still caressing your flowing locks, I see your cherished bosom heaving as you move to and fro. I reveal my eager manhood. But — what would you have me do?”

LEATHERS: Ravage me.

Even here, Weiner and Abedin refused to relinquish their quest for power, and Abedin — long portrayed as a put-upon, passive victim — spoke in Weiner’s defense at a hastily-assembled news conference. “We discussed all of this before Anthony decided to run for mayor,” she said, admitting that she was complicit in the lies to the press and the electorate.

She also displayed a similar self-absorption: “I love him I have forgiven him, and as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward.” In other words: If Huma was OK with him, New York voters should be too.

After refusing to drop out of the race — and continuing to shoot the documentary — Weiner lost with less than 5 percent of the vote. He had a note-perfect concession event on election night, running through a McDonald’s to escape Leathers, heels off in hot pursuit. He capped off the evening by flipping off a reporter.

After a scandal-free three years, The Post broke the story that Weiner had been sexting again, in one case sending a close-up of himself in gray boxer briefs, crotch engorged, his 4-year-old son sleeping right in the frame.

Modal Trigger

This, apparently, was too far even for Abedin — whose boss was running for president, the election three months away.
Hours later, Abedin announced that “after long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband.”

It was cynical, political timing, all too late: then-FBI director James Comey would announce a re-investigation into Clinton’s e-mails, some of which Abedin forwarded to Weiner’s laptop. It’s among the events Clinton claims cost her the election — though as recently as last week, she refused to say nothing of Weiner and Abedin’s liabilities. Really, how difficult is it to pillory a sex offender?

The optics of Abedin’s public separation were soon belied by her decision to remain living with Weiner and her own written plea to the court to spare her husband jail time — for the sake of their child, of course.

Here’s what Weiner, under the screen name “T Dog,” knowingly wrote to someone else’s child, a 15-year-old: “I would bust that tight p—y so hard and so often that you would leak and limp for a week.”

He also asked her to strip and touch herself in Skype sessions, to dress up like a school girl and join in his “rape fantasies.” he also, she said, asked her to lie for him.

“After I told my teacher about the relationship, [Weiner] wanted me to e-mail my dad and my teacher and tell them that what I said was false,” the girl told the Daily Mail. “That the conversations were appropriate and never inappropriate, and he was very helpful.”

This is the real Anthony Weiner: someone who knows what he’s doing is wrong but doesn’t care, someone who lies and takes steps to hide such repeated actions, someone who ostensibly takes responsibility yet then blames others: The media, the other women, and, in a recent memo to the court, the 15-year-old girl, who he said manipulated him, a 53-year-old man, for fame — no matter how ignominious.

Anthony Weiner is a criminal and a sex offender, not a victim, but its doubtless even 21 months in prison will change him. His years-long sexual compulsions have led to his conviction as a sex offender, and at over 50 years old, he’s unlikely to ever change.

As he wrote to the judge right before sentencing: “I’m different now.”

Anthony Weiner heads to prison

Perverted ex-pol Anthony Weiner is headed to prison Monday for sexting with a 15-year-old girl — a crime he called his “rock bottom” after years of career-killing online antics.

The disgraced Democrat spent his Sunday holed up in his Union Square apartment, where a source in the building spotted Weiner’s dad, Morton, getting Starbucks around 11 a.m.

Father and son then spent about five hours together ahead of Weiner’s trip to the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Mass., where’s he’s under orders to arrive for his 21-month sentence no later than 2 p.m.

The lockup — on a former Army base about 40 miles northwest of Boston — is just one of two sites that offer residential treatment for sex offenders, who share a common housing unit and undergo therapy five days a week.

Other infamous inmates include inside trader Raj Rajaratnam, who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, and Peter Madoff, a reported cancer survivor who helped older brother Bernie Madoff scam $20 billion from investors through his epic Ponzi scheme.

Weiner, 53, twice broke down in tears when he was sentenced in September, following earlier scandals that forced him from Congress in 2011 and sank a comeback bid that saw him leading the 2013 mayoral race before he was exposed as X-rated cyber-sexter “Carlos Danger.”

Anthony Weiner may leave prison early
By Kaja Whitehouse

Disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner has finally found something he can do without screwing it up.

Nearly a year after he began his 21-month prison sentence for sexting with an underage girl, Weiner, 54, is set to be released early for good conduct.

Weiner — who has failed at being a husband, at sex rehab and at politics because of his uncontrollable urges — has managed to be a model inmate at the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Mass., according to the federal Bureau of Prisons.

Prison records show he is scheduled to be released in May 2019, three months ahead of his scheduled release date in August 2019.

There is no parole in federal prison, but inmates can earn up to 54 days off each year they serve for good conduct.

If the Queens Democrat ends up getting sprung early, it will be his first success in close to a decade. Weiner’s dramatic and seemingly never-ending fall from grace kicked off in 2011, when he resigned from Congress after it emerged he had been sending photos of his privates to women online.

In 2013, he lost his bid to become NYC’s mayor when it emerged he had been continuing his sexting with strange women through the pseudonym “Carlos Danger.”

Weiner didn’t hit rock bottom, however, until he admitted in court last year to sexting with a high school girl — despite knowing she was a minor.

His long-suffering wife, long-time Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, filed for divorce hours after he pleaded guilty in court.

Weiner begged for probation at his September 2017 sentencing, calling himself “a very sick man” as he wept.

His lawyer, Arlo Devlin-Brown, did not immediately return a request for comment.

Convicted ex-congressman Anthony Weiner has been sprung from prison — and is now part of a federal re-entry program in New York, records show.

Weiner has been transferred from Federal Medical Center in Devens, Mass. where he served a bulk of his 21-month sentence for sexting a 15-year-old girl from North Carolina, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records.

The 54-year-old is now being supervised by the federal Residential Reentry Management, which has a field office in Sunset Park and operates multiples facilities, the records say.

He is either in a halfway house or in home confinement, TMZ reported. It’s not clear when the transfer took place.

Weiner is set to be released from federal custody on May 14, thanks to good conduct behind bars that shaved about three months off his sentence.

He’ll spend three years on supervised release and will have to pay a $10,000 fine as well as register as a sex offender.

The once-rising Democrat flamed out amid a series of sexting scandals that first began in 2011, when he resigned from Congress after admitting to sending an X-rated photo and engaging in inappropriate relationships with women online.

Two years later, his comeback bid to become New York City’s mayor was torpedoed by revelations he sexted with another woman under the pseudonym “Carlos Danger.”

The pol’s lewd behavior took a more disturbing turn, however, when he was busted in 2017 for sexting with a high school girl — despite knowing she was underage.

Weiner wept at his sentencing, calling himself a “very sick man.”

Huma Abedin, his wife and mother of their young son, filed for divorce just hours after he pleaded guilty but she later withdrew the case to settle matters out of court.

Anthony Weiner pops up :p outside Bronx halfway house after prison release

Anthony Weiner has gone from hard time :p to a Bronx halfway house after being convicted for sexting an underage girl.

But even a registered sex offender’s got to eat — and The Post was there Sunday as Weiner popped outside his new Bronx digs to grab a delivery order.

Wearing his signature Mets baseball cap, the 54-year-old disgraced ex-congressman — who served 15 months of a 21-month federal prison sentence for sexting with the 15-year-old — briefly exited to greet a food deliveryman ferrying his $22.50 order.

He’ll serve out the next three months in the Bronx facility before being released outright in May with an accumulated three months off for good behavior.

On the menu for Weiner was hearty Italian fare from Brother’s Pizza a few blocks away. He ordered a $9.50 dish of homemade lasagna and $10 penne alla vodka with grilled chicken, along with two Snapples at $1.50 apiece to wash it all down.

“Hold on a second here. Hold on a second. They’re in here?” Weiner grilled the deliveryman around 2 p.m. after he was handed a large pizza box and brown paper bag with straws poking out at the door of the GEO Care Inc. facility in Fordham Heights.

“Everything’s in there,” the worker answered.

But Weiner could be in hot water for the Sunday feast: The food exchange took place right next to a sign that reads in all caps: “You May Not Bring Food or Beverages Into This Facility. Stop. No Exceptions!!”

After grabbing his food, Weiner couldn’t beat it fast enough.

“How you doing, buddy? Not allowed to talk, I’m sorry, my friend,” he told a Post reporter with a meek smile before ducking back inside.

The former politician left a paltry $2.50 tip on his online order, employees said.

The convicted pervert — dressed in a blue fleece zip-up and baggy navy sweatpants — spent the bulk of his sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Mass.

But Federal Bureau of Prisons records show he was transferred from the lockup to the halfway house, one of many facilities across the nation under the Residential Reentry Management program.

Before Weiner emerged from the halfway house, his visibly impatient deliveryman — ironically named Carlos :D, given Weiner’s sexting alter-ego was “Carlos Danger” — paced back and forth while calling the fallen politician repeatedly and asking passersby how to get in.

A restaurant receipt obtained by The Post showed no name on Weiner’s order — just an address, phone number and direction to “ring the silver buzzer.”

“He wasn’t answering his phone,” Carlos later groused about Weiner, saying he had no idea he was delivering to the infamous sex addict.

“He’s a f–king pervert,” Carlos said after being told.

The food worker said that after he completed the delivery, Weiner was so clueless that he rang him back.

“He was like, ‘You called?’ ” Carlos recalled.

Weiner is set to be released from federal custody May 14, thanks to good conduct behind bars that shaved about three months off his sentence.

His political career flamed out starting in 2011, when he resigned from Congress after being forced to admit sending lewd photos to women he’d met online.

Two years later, his comeback bid for mayor was torpedoed by revelations that he sexted with a woman under the pseudonym “Carlos Danger.”

His creepy behavior took a more disturbing turn in 2016 when he started up an online relationship with the teen — despite knowing full well that she was underage.

The fall from grace was capped in May 2017, when he pleaded guilty to exchanging X-rated texts with the North Carolina teen.

“I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse,” Weiner sobbed in court at the time.

After the halfway house, Weiner will spend three years on supervised release, pay a $10,000 fine and register as a sex offender.

Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, Weiner’s wife and the mother of their young son, filed for divorce just hours after he pleaded guilty. Abedin later withdrew the petition to settle matters out of court.

Neither the BOP nor Weiner’s or Abedin’s lawyers returned messages seeking comment.

An employee at the halfway house feigned ignorance when asked about Weiner’s stay — after he was spotted there.

“Who?” she said, before slamming the phone.

Anthony Weiner registering as a sex offender

Anthony Weiner will register as a Level 1 sex offender following his conviction for sexting an underage girl, a judge ordered Friday.

Bronx Supreme Court Judge Raymond Bruce gave the designation — assigned to pervs considered to have the lowest risk  of re-offending on a three-level scale — based on the board of examiners’ review of Weiner’s case.

He said the panel had noted two risk factors — that the victim was aged between 11 and 16 and that she was a stranger — but that didn’t rise beyond Level 1.

Under the designation, only Weiner’s zip code will be made public.

Weiner, who has been holed up at a Bronx halfway house, didn’t appear at the hearing, where he was represented by an attorney.

Attorney Arlo Devlin-Brown said the 54-year-old planned on registering by mail.

After sinking his political career in a series of salacious sexting scandals with adult women, the married ex-pol was busted in 2017 for sending obscene messages to a 15-year-old North Carolina high schooler.

Weiner wept and called himself a “very sick man” at his sentencing, where he was ordered to serve 21 months behind bars, pay a $10,000 fine and to register as a sex offender upon his release.

He was transferred from a Massachusetts lock-up to a halfway house in mid-February as part of a federal re-entry program, and is scheduled for release on May 14 — after getting three months shaved off his sentence for good behavior.

Anthony "The Gargoyle" Weiner wrapped up the last leg of his prison sentence for sexting an underage girl on Tuesday morning, walking out of a Bronx halfway house a free man.

“It’s good to be out,” the disgraced former congressman said. “I hope to be able to live a life of integrity and service. I’m glad this chapter of my life is behind me.”

Weiner, who will still be registered as a Level 1 sex offender, had called the halfway house on Creston Avenue home for three months following his transfer from a Massachusetts lockup as part of a federal re-entry program.

He walked out shortly after 6 a.m. wearing khaki pants, red Nike running shoes and a sweater. His release came early after getting three months shaved off for good behavior.

The Post revealed last month how he is now hoping to land a book deal.

He started his time in November 2017 in the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Mass., a former Army base about 40 miles northwest of Boston and just one of two sites that offer residential treatment for sex offenders.

He was transferred in mid-February to the Bronx — where The Post caught him ordering a hearty pasta take-out.
