Nig Confesses to Detroit Prostitute Killings.....sort of

Detroit police said Tuesday that a man had confessed to killing 7 prostitutes over the last several years. A tipster led police to Shelly Andre Brooks who was recognized after the release of a composite sketch.
Police say Brooks felt the women ripped him off. In his confession, they say he claimed that is why he killed the women.
"I didn"t confess, they made me sign," Brooks told reporters as he was taken, in shackles, to a waiting vehicle Tuesday.
Detroit homicide investigators and a violent crimes task force, consisting of Detroit police, the FBI and Michigan State Police have been investigating this string of prostitute murde
rs for years.
Brooks was recognized by a tipster who saw a composite sketch made after a woman escaped a failed assault by a man fitting Brooks" description.
"DNA connects Brooks to multiple cases," said Police Chief Ella Bully-Cummings.
Police say they have DNA matches to Brooks in at least 4 of the murder cases.
He was expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon on 7 counts of premeditated murder as well as 7 counts of felony murder.
Brooks remains a suspect in the deaths of 7 additional prostitutes.
Police say all 7 of the women Brooks is accused of killing were drug users and ranged in age from 30 to 53.
