Chaos erupted at Venice Beach earlier this week when two women were caught on camera in a bizarre brawl, with one of the combatants completely nude. The Police Department has confirmed they are investigating the incident, which has been making its rounds on the internet. No further details have been revealed as the authorities look into the circumstances of the confrontation, according to the LAPD PIO.
The spectacle of violence unfolded in plain view, as a naked woman engaged in an aggressive altercation with another wielding what appeared to be a spiked club, according to a video sourced by TMZ. Eyewitnesses captured the fight where a woman in a black tank top swung at the nude individual who, rather than cowering, defended herself before the two exchanged roles in the aggression, and a baton was seen thrown, thrust into the air as a medieval form of the duel was set in an otherwise contemporary setting, bystanders watched perplexed and some trembled under the threat of joining the fray.
Officials have yet to release any statements regarding the aftermath or how the conflict was resolved, but it was reported that the violent exchange endured for approximately six minutes without police intervention. Both participants in the fray seemed to have procured makeshift weapons; they continued their battle with gusto that must have been fueled by rage or desperation, or perhaps both as spectators observed this unreal tableau which echoed less of our civilized society and more of the primitive brawl from a society lost to time.
