FORT MYERS, Fla. – An Orlando man is in the Lee County Jail after authorities were able to pin him as a kidnapping suspect in a traffic stop Sunday.

Demarco Rollins, 24,
was stopped by the Florida Highway Patrol on State Road 80 and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard because his windows were too dark, FHP said. Rollins lied about who he was to officers who found a small amount of marijuana on him, according to FHP.

Those officers looked into his claim and were able to identify him, finding he had an outstanding felony warrant for an alleged kidnapping in Orange County, FHP said. Rollins was arrested and jailed. He is facing charges in Orange County on top of drug possession and false identification charges.

No further information was immediately available.
