Author tells how Dick Cheney elevated Fauci to top of US biodefense research apparatus post-9/11

It's a mistake to think of Dr. Anthony Fauci as "a great public health expert," says journalist Ashley Rindsberg, who argues the NIAID director is correctly understood as "a biodefense national security official at the very top of that command structure."

Fearing the development of bioweapons by U.S. enemies in the wake of 9/11, then-Vice President Dick Cheney paved the way for Dr. Anthony Fauci's little known rise in 2004 to the top of the nation's biodefense research apparatus, relates journalist Ashley Rindsberg in a new article at "UnHerd.com.
"In the aftermath of 9/11, and even slightly before 9/11, when the Bush administration came to power, Dick Cheney was especially looking to create a biodefense strategy," Rindsberg said on the John Solomon Reports podcast.

"And Cheney was very concerned about this," Rindsberg continued. "Bush was more concerned on the natural outbreak pandemic front, but Cheney was really thinking about how about the potential of enemies of the United States weaponizing biology, weaponizing viruses."
As a result of this, Cheney and Bush funded a huge infrastructure with a vertically integrated power structure and placed Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, at its pinnacle.
"This is kind of the thing that people have really missed about Fauci," Rindsberg said. "We've all come to think of him as a great public health expert — the top public health official in America. He is not that. He's definitely not that.
"He is in fact, a biodefense national security official at the very top of that command structure. And this is something we all should have known about two, three years ago and not just today."
Fauci is the highest paid employee in the federal government, outearning senators, the president, and Supreme Court justices.
"His salary roughly doubled that of his own (nominal) boss, until recently, NIH director Francis Collins," Rindsberg wrote in an article at UnHerd.com titled "How Dick Cheney created Anthony Fauci." "Fauci's giant pay packet can be traced back to 2004, the year after NIAID was made the country's top biodefence authority agency."
It was then that Fauci became more than just another director of a public health agency.
"This salary jump was only a by-product of the radical restructuring of America's biodefence apparatus," Rindsberg wrote. "The much more significant outcome was that Fauci was essentially placed at the top of a new chain of command over which he gained nearly total decision-making ability. He went from being the director of one the NIH's constituent 27 institutes to being the only one who really mattered."
Rindsberg was also critical of the mainstream media and said one of the main problems with it is that many major outlets chose to write from a single narrative and base their writings off of the narrative.
"A lot of this has to do with the media's allegiance and alliances with forces and elements in government," Rindsberg concluded. "They take the government message — part of the government not the whole government — and certain parties of government and drive it home at all cost, no matter what."

Last night, our auditors at OpenTheBooks.com received Dr. Anthony Fauci’s FY2021 financial disclosures from the National Institutes of Health.
The documents contain a wealth of previously unknown information. For example, the Fauci household’s net worth now exceeds $12.6 million – up $5 million from 2019 through 2021.
In January 2022, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall forced open Dr. Anthony Fauci’s unredacted FY2019 and 2020 financial disclosures. The release followed a heated Senate exchange between Fauci and Marshall that concluded with Fauci calling the senator a “moron.”
It was Fauci’s “code red moment” when America’s ‘top doctor’ melted down on national television in the Senate hearing. (When Marshall cited ‘Forbes,’ that was our research on Fauci’s financials published in my then-column at Forbes.)
It’s been a dogfight to open the books on the Fauci finances. For example, our organization has filed four federal lawsuits versus NIH to open the books.

Today, we post more of the financial disclosures that Dr. Fauci didn’t want you to see. Here’s a summary of our findings from the latest document release:
· Net Worth: The Fauci household disclosed net worth increased from $7.6 million (January 1, 2019) to over $12.6 million (December 31, 2021).
· Top Paid: Fauci continued to be the most highly compensated federal employee earning $456,000 in 2021 and $480,000 in 2022. Fauci out-earned the president, four-star generals, and roughly 4.3 million other federal bureaucrats.
· Big Awards: In 2021, Fauci augmented his government income with nearly $1 million in prizes from non-profit organizations across the world. For example, the Dan David Foundation, based in Israel, awarded $901,400 for “speaking truth to power” and “defending science” during the Trump administration.
During the ongoing pandemic year of 2021, the Fauci’s household income, perks and benefits, and unrealized investment gains totaled $2,832,876 — including federal income and benefits of $903,497; outside royalties and travel perks totaling $919,205; and $910,174 in investment gains.
Here are the numbers as compiled by our auditors at OpenTheBooks.com, an organization I lead. This analysis uses information we previously unearthed plus the newly released disclosures.

Investment Gains: $910,174
Disclosures show $910,174 in gains within the Fauci stock, bond, and money market portfolio during 2021 – in 2020, the portfolio gained $794,369. The total value of Dr. Fauci’s investment account was $10,271,626 and his wife’s investments totaled another $2,405,887, as of 12/31/2021.
These funds were held in a mix of trust, retirement, and college education accounts. Fauci has an IRA worth $706,219 (up $67,700); a defined benefit brokerage account totaling $2,551,210 (up $147,688); and a revocable trust worth $7,014,197 (up $1,718,299). His wife’s revocable trust is worth $2,269,225 (up $306,406) and an IRA totaling $136,662 (up $16,385).
The disclosures show that he’s invested in fairly broadly targeted mutual funds, with no reported holdings of individual stocks. The Fauci’s deposited an additional net $1,346,304 in savings during this period.
Fauci’s 2021 disclosures show that he continues with an ownership stake in a San Francisco restaurant, Jackson Fillmore, worth between $1,000 and $15,000: but received minimal income from the restaurant.
Gifts And Awards: $919,205
In January 2021, Fauci received a $1 million prize for the prestigious Dan David Prize affiliated with Tel Aviv University for “speaking truth to power” and “defending science” during the Trump administration. Disclosures show that Fauci kept $901,400 of that prize with roughly 10-percent awarded to handpicked scholarship winners.
Fauci also collected awards of $12,500 from the Eliot Richardson Prize in Public Service on July 31, 2021 and the Abelson Prize from the American Association for the Advancement of Science on February 8, 2021.
Two years ago, Fauci was named Federal Employee of the Year at the 2020 Samuel J. Heyman Service To America Medals awards program and he was paid $5,198 for the virtual star-studded event.

Federal Employment Compensation: $694,998
Dr. Fauci is the director of the National Institutes of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and his wife Christine Grady is the chief bio-ethicist at the National Institutes of Health.
Background: Fauci earned $456,028 in cash compensation during 2021 – up from 434,312 (2020). Between 2010 and 2020, Dr. Fauci earned cash compensation of $3.7 million from his federal employer. Review Fauci’s ten-year salary history in my previous column published at Forbes.
Fauci’s wife, Christine Grady is the chief bio-ethicist at the National Institutes of Health and made $238,970 in 2021, up from 234,284. Since 2015, Grady made roughly $1.6 million in cash compensation.
In 2022, Anthony Fauci received another base salary increase up to $480,000. While he out earns the president, Mrs. Fauci out earns the vice-president.

Fauci’s ‘code red moment’ — U.S. Senator Marshall cited our research published at Forbes that Fauci was the top-paid federal employee and yet his financial disclosures weren’t available to the public. January 2022

Perks And Pension Benefits: $208,499 (estimated)
Federal employees have a lucrative amount of paid time off, subsidized healthcare, pension benefits and a myriad of other perquisites. For example, after just three-years, a rank-and-file federal employee receives 44 days of paid time off. Dr. Fauci has held a federal job for 55+ years.
A good faith estimate of the taxpayer cost of those benefits is 30-percent multiplied by the salary amount for Dr. Fauci and his wife.
Golden Parachute: Last month, Fauci announced his retirement and we estimated he’ll reap a $375,000 first-year pension— the highest in federal history. He’ll receive well over $1 million during his first three years of retirement.
This analysis assumes that Fauci will keep his promise to retire in December 2022. Last July, the doctor then said he would retire by January 2025. If he did, we estimated his retirement pension ($414,667) would exceed the president’s salary ($400,000).

Royalties And Professional Reimbursements: $100,000+
Disclosures show that Dr. Fauci edits the medical textbook, Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine and serves on the board of the publisher, McGraw Hill. In 2021, Fauci received $100,000 as an editor of the publication.
Earlier this year, an NIH spokesperson confirmed that Dr. Fauci has an editorial board position with McGraw Hill that is approved by NIH.
Background: OpenTheBooks filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit to get a copy of all royalties paid to current and retired NIH scientists since 2005. When NIH ignored our lawful request, we sued in federal court (October 2021). Judicial Watch, a public interest law firm, represented us. NIH is producing 3,000 pages of line-by-line royalty payments; however, the amount paid to each of the 2,250 individual scientists continues to be redacted.
Fauci – and other NIH leaders – received third-party paid royalties; however, the amounts are blanked out, redacted, so the dollars received are unknown.

An explosive new study has revealed that Dr. Anthony Fauci’s “fingerprint” has been found on the origin of COVID-19, indicating that the virus was created in a lab.
The new pre-print study concludes that the unique “fingerprint” proves that the virus could not have originated in nature.
Dr. Alex Washburne, a mathematical biologist, worked with researchers in the U.S. and Germany who studied the SARS-CoV-2 genome sequence.
The researchers compared Covid to previously discovered coronaviruses.
They detected “peculiar patterns” which they concluded were the hallmark of a virus that was manufactured in a laboratory.

The scientists describe SARS-CoV-2 as having a “synthetic fingerprint.”
Meanwhile, The Lancet COVID-19 Commission, a task force that investigated the origins of COVID-19, has just completed its own investigations.
Jeffrey Sachs, chairman of The Lancet COVID-19 Commission, has concluded after 22 months of study that SARS-CoV-2 probably was laboratory-generated.
Sachs warns that the technology likely came from gain-of-function research funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
In an article published by Children’s Health Defense, Sachs discusses the finding of the study led by Dr. Washburne.

Sachs says the “synthetic fingerprint” discovered in the new study led by Washburne points to the work of Dr. Ralph Baric.
Dr. Baric is a virologist at the University of North Carolina known for his NIH-funded gain-of-function research in cooperation with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, according to WND.
Baric has developed a controversial “seamless ligation” technique designed to conceal evidence of human tampering in laboratory-created viruses.
Baric nicknamed his invention the “no-see’m” method.
“It’s the artist that doesn’t sign his name to the painting; the virologist that doesn’t put his signature into the virus to let us know whether or not it is emerging naturally or whether it is produced in a laboratory,” said Sachs.
“All of it says, ‘my God, there was really a big, very risky research agenda underway.'”
Evolutionary biologist Bret Weinstein warns that Baric’s technique is the “exact opposite of what you would do if your interest was public health.”
“Public health scientists would be marking their enhancements with red flags, not devising ways to hide them,” Weinstein adds.
“The only reason you would want a concealer is to advance a sinister purpose – such as illegal bioweapons development – some mischief that the scientist didn’t want traceable back to his lab.”
Baric taught his technique to the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s leading coronavirus researcher, Shi Zhengli, in 2016, CHD reported.
In return, Baric received Chinese coronaviruses collected by Shi from bats in China’s Yunnan province.
In a post on Substack, Washburne reacted to criticism that his study was “very poorly controlled” and “cherry-picked.”
“The topic is personally relevant to every person capable of being infected by a virus or impacted by pandemic policies,” he wrote.
“I invite people to prove us wrong and, if they do so, even if there are flaws in their work, I will not call them names or attack their credentials.
“I will celebrate their ingenuity and commitment to the Truth, and if I am proven wrong I will change my mind,” he promised.
Washburne said science “can save lives and revolutionize our civilization, but only if scientists and our broader society remain honest, curious, and open-minded.”
Professor Francois Balloux, a professor of computational biology at University College London, called the study “an important piece of work.”
“To me, it looks solid both conceptually and methodologically,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I was given advance warning and was able to replicate the key findings.
“To the best of my knowledge, I confirm the reported patterns are genuine.”
Balloux said the “distribution of restriction sites in SARS-CoV-2 is highly atypical when compared to related viruses in circulation, and far more in line with previous lab-engineered coronaviruses.”
A critic of the study, Texas A&M University virologist Dr. Benjamin Neuman, has called the lab theory of the origin of COVID-19 “discredited.”
The new study, he said, is “very poorly controlled, cherry-picked and making a big deal out of lumps and bumps that are of no significance to the virus.”
Another critic, Kristian Andersen, a virologist at Scripps Research in California, famously joined with three other virologists in a January 2020 email to Fauci stating they saw strong evidence the virus that causes COVID-19 was engineered in a lab, as WND reported.
But after a teleconference the next day with Fauci to discuss the virologists’ conclusion, Andersen began dismissing the lab-leak possibility as among “crackpot theories” that “relate to this virus being somehow engineered with intent and that is demonstrably not the case.”
In April 2020, Fauci was asked by a reporter during a White House briefing if the research at the Wuhan lab might be responsible for the pandemic.
Fauci insisted a “group of highly qualified evolutionary virologists” had concluded the virus was “totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human.”
The next day, Peter Daszak – the EcoHealth Alliance founder who received funding from Fauci’s agency to conduct research engineering coronaviruses – sent a thank you email to Fauci.
Daszak thanked the National Institutes of Health and Infectious Disease director for “publicly standing up and stating that the scientific evidence supports a natural origin for COVID-19 from a bat-to-human spillover, not a lab release from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
“From my perspective, your comments are brave, and coming from your trusted voice, will help dispel the myths being spun around the virus’s origins,” Daszak wrote to Fauci on April 18, 2020.
The new study by Washburne, Andersen said, is “so deeply flawed that it wouldn’t pass kindergarten molecular biology.”
“The study is a clear example of motivated reasoning with a heavy dose of technobabble to make it sound legitimate – but it’s nothing more than poppycock dressed up as science,” said Andersen.
“In plain language — this is uninformed nonsense and it’s simply not worth engaging with.”
Among the studies cited by scientists who believe the virus had a natural origin is one published in Scientific Reports that showed a total of about 47,000 wild animals from 38 species were sold in four markets in Wuhan between May 2017 and November 2019.
The researchers claimed they had evidence that the necessary conditions were in place for animal-to-human transmission.
However, they admitted that had no evidence that any of the animals had SARS-CoV-2.
In the new study, Washburne and his colleagues concluded it’s “extremely unlikely” that the “synthetic fingerprint” appeared “by random evolution.”
The team discovered similarities to many engineered coronavirus genomes.
Significantly, it differs from the closest relatives found in nature.
“Our findings strongly suggest a synthetic origin of SARS-CoV2,” the study concludes.

Secret CDC Report CONFIRMS 118K Youths “Died Suddenly” After Vax Rollout

Dr. Anthony Fauci infamously used propaganda, lies, and manipulation to coerce parents into getting their children vaccinated. In the aftermath of those shots, 118,000 youths “died suddenly” by October of 2022.
The truth about the Covid vaccine’s safety had been buried deep within Fauci’s own lies and deceit and confidential United States Government and Pfizer documents. A secret Centers for Disease Control (CDC) report has revealed that nearly half a million children and young adults died within a year of Fauci’s fateful announcement that younger people can also be “vaccinated” for COVID-19. Over 1118,000 of those deaths are suspected to be due to the Covid-19 vaccine’s dangerous side effects, according to reports found by The Daily Exposé.
Thanks to an institution known as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OEC), some data can be analyzed about how these injections fare in the bodies of human beings.
The OEC is an intergovernmental organization with 38 member countries founded in 1961 to stimulate economic progress and world trade. And for some reason, they host a wealth of data on excess deaths. You can find that data for yourself here.
The following chart has been created using the figures found in the OEC database. Figures that have been provided to the OEC by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC). And it shows excess deaths among children and young adults aged 0-44 across the USA by week in 2020 and 2021.
Source Data
The official figures reveal that there was a slight increase in excess deaths among children and young adults when the alleged Covid-19 pandemic hit the US in early 2020. But that number jumped and remained high. In 2021, a massive jump can be seen with a higher starting point that is now continuing an upward trajectory, probably because more and more people are being panicked into getting their children injected.
It’s also important to note that after the vaccines were released (not during the pandemic) the excess deaths were higher every single week.
Excess deaths among children and young adults were significantly higher every single week in 2021 than they were in 2020 except for weeks 29 and 30. But then in week 31, something drastic happened to cause excess deaths to rise significantly among children and young adults.
And official figures provided by the CDC, unfortunately, show that trend has continued in 2022 however, the excess deaths are dropping off some.

The ruling classes of the globe and their mainstream media puppets are still pushing these “vaccines”, which means that they still haven’t reached certain goals. Even with all the bad data, poor safety protocols, and lack of effectiveness, there’s still a major narrative out there telling people to get these shots.

Ted Cruz Tees Off On Dr. Fauci: ‘Done More Damage Than Any Bureaucrat In The History Of The United States’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci during an interview on Monday for the damage that he has done to the United States through the policies that he championed throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fauci retired in December after serving as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022 and the chief medical advisor to the president from 2021 to 2022.

Cruz’s remarks on Fox Business come after a report over the weekend revealed that the Department of Energy now concludes with “low confidence” that the pandemic originated in a Chinese lab in Wuhan.
“Dr. Fauci’s behavior on this has been abominable,” Cruz said. “I think he has done more damage than any bureaucrat in the history of the United States. He has championed policies that have hurt millions of Americans, hurt millions of school kids in particular.”
“And he has also done more to damage the credibility of the United States government when it comes to medical and scientific advice because Dr. Fauci allowed his advice to be politicized,” he continued. “We know Dr. Fauci in writing asked Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook to suppress references to the origin of COVID being from a Chinese government lab.”

Cruz said that he believes that Fauci did so in-part because “there’s a very real possibility that Fauci himself bears culpability.”
“I believe Dr. Fauci has lied to Congress, which is a felony, when he has stated that the federal government did not fund gain of function research in in the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Cruz said. “Since then, the National Institutes for Health in writing has contradicted that. And if the Biden Justice Department were enforcing the law, they ought to be investigating Dr. Fauci for lying to Congress, which is a federal crime. To date, the Biden DOJ has been too political to hold Dr. Fauci accountable.”

SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX): Well, Dr. Fauci’s behavior on this has been abominable. I think he has done more damage than any bureaucrat in the history of the United States. He has championed policies that have hurt millions of Americans, hurt millions of school kids in particular. And he has also done more to damage the credibility of the United States government when it comes to medical and scientific advice because Dr. Fauci allowed his advice to be politicized. We know Dr. Fauci in writing asked Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook to suppress references to the origin of COVID being from a Chinese government lab. And he did so I think in part, because there’s a very real possibility that Fauci himself bears culpability. I believe Dr. Fauci has lied to Congress, which is a felony, when he has stated that the federal government did not fund gain of function research in in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Since then, the National Institutes for Health in writing has contradicted that.
