Elon Musk attacked The New York Times on Saturday for not covering his exposé of how Twitter executives were urged by Biden staff to delete tweets relating to the damaging contents of Hunter Biden's laptop.
Other left-leaning outlets including CBS News, ABC and The Washington Post are also yet to cover the 'Twitter Files', despite their contents causing a sensation among American conservatives and free-speech advocates.
In response to the alleged lack of coverage from the Times, Musk described the newspaper as an 'unregistered lobbying firm for far left politicians'.
The comment came in response to a tweet from conservative radio host Clay Travis, who said, 'There is not one single article about @elonmusk or the @twitter email release last night on @nytimes app this morning.'
Musk responded: 'That is because The New York Times has become, for all intents and purposes, an unregistered lobbying firm for far left politicians'.

On Friday Musk promoted a Twitter thread by journalist Matt Taibbi in which, among other things, he published correspondence between Twitter staff in 2020.
In it they discuss censoring a New York Post story about Hunter Biden's laptop and allude to requests from Biden's team to do so - something Twitter went on to do.
'Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be 'unsafe.'
'They even blocked its transmission via direct message, a tool hitherto reserved for extreme cases, e.g. child pornography,' Taibbi said in one tweet that was part of the thread.
Notably, in one exchange one Twitter executive emailed another a list of tweets with the instruction, 'More to review from the Biden team.'
The other executive responded: 'handled these'.

The Washington Post similarly wrote about Musk and Twitter on Saturday, but made no mention of the Twitter Files. A story about a rise in anti-Semitism was the leading story on their site on Saturday night

Publications that have covered the story include POLITICO, NBC and CNN. The latter dampened the news by suggesting the leaked emails 'corroborated what was already known about the incident'.
The Daily Beast echoed that sentiment but discussed the Twitter Files in a story headlined: ''Deeply Underwhelmed': Right-Wingers on Musk's Overhyped 'Twitter Files''

Although the New York Times is yet to write about the thread, it did publish two different stories relating to Musk and Twitter on Saturday, the day after it was posted.
The first of those stories, 'Hate Speech's Rise on Twitter Is Unprecedented, Researchers Find' criticized Musk for a rise in hate speech since his takeover of the social media company.
The other, 'Twitter Keeps Missing Its Advertising Targets as Woes Mount', was also critical of Musk's management of the platform and suggested that its current ad revenue in the US is 80 percent below internal expectations.
The Washington Post followed a similar trend. The lead story on its website on Saturday night, 'Surging Twitter antisemitism unites fringe and encourages violence, officials say', similarly cited sources who suggested that anti-Semitic speech on Twitter had been on the rise since the Musk takeover.
POLITICO was a major publication that did address the Twitter Files as early as Friday night. Although it did not delve into Taibbi's specific allegations it did link to his 35-tweet thread.

Triggered Liberals Including AOC Have Meltdown and Accuse Elon Musk of Racism Over Comment on ‘Interracial Violent Crime Incidents’

By Jim Hoft May. 6, 2023 4:20 pm

On Saturday, triggered liberals had a meltdown and accused Elon Musk of being a racist over his comment on interracial violent crime incidents.
Twitter user @EndWokeness recently shared a data detailing the number of cases of interracial violent crime in 2018.
The black-on-white crime was found to be much higher than white-on-black and Hispanic-on-black crime in the data.
  • Black on white: 547,948
  • Black on Hispanic: 112,365
  • White on black: 59,778
  • White on Hispanic: 207,104
  • Hispanic on white: 365,299
  • Hispanic on black: 44,551
Elon Musk commented on the data, “Odd, why would the media misrepresent the real situation to such an extreme degree?”

The Twitter Files Explained: Matt Taibbi on The Censorship Industrial Complex

by John V. Walsh Posted onMay 8, 2023

The Twitter Files are a set of internal Twitter documents that Elon Musk released to a group of journalists and other writers soon after his takeover of the company. Journalists Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss organized the publication of the documents in a series of Twitter threads.
In this lecture (video below) Taibbi explains what the Files are and what their significance is. It is enlightening both for those who know little of the Files and for those who have closely followed the controversies surrounding them.
There are two aspects of the Twitter files that are striking.
First, the investigation into the Files shows federal agencies like the FBI systematically working with Twitter in the pre-Musk days to suppress information, using a variety of censoring techniques including shadow banning. (Shadow banning is best described as censorship which hides the tweets or decreases their circulation without their author knowing.) Since censorship by the federal government is forbidden by the First Amendment, this fact would seem to merit a full investigation and proper punishment for those who engaged in any illegalities. It has also emerged in the course of the investigations stimulated by the Files that federal agencies have exerted similar influence over other social media platforms such as Facebook.
Second, the Twitter Files have gained precious little attention in the mainstream media. Much of the mainstream coverage has been in the vein of, “Move along, there is nothing to see here.” Much of the rest has been devoted to attacks on Musk for daring to release the Files and motley other matters.
In this speech at the William F. Buckley Institute at Yale, Matt Taibbi describes the Twitter Files and what we know of them to date. Taibbi, a man of the “left” appears at the Institute bearing the name of one of the most prominent Cold War Conservatives, another example of so-called “right-left” collaboration that we see in response to the dangers of the moment.

Elon, it’s not only the ADL

Global Intel Hub -- The world is watching self-appointed Hero of the Planet as if right out of a Marvel flick, Elon Musk, fight the forces of evil currently 'in control' of Planet Earth. This is clearly not about blue vs. red, or right vs. left - it's about Good vs. Evil. It often seems like Evil will win by default, because it's well funded and they spend billions on advertising where as the white hats largely work in the shadows, un-credited (because if they show their faces, they would be targeted). But who are the white hats, and grey hats, and dark hats?
Who is behind the Censors, the Trolls, the Bots, the PsyOps? We know some of them:
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) are nongovernmental organizations, their leaders say. When they demand more censorship of online hate speech, as they are currently doing of X, formerly Twitter, those NGOs are doing it as free citizens and not, say, as government agents. But the fact of the matter is that the US and other Western governments fund ISD, the UK government indirectly funds CCDH, and, for at least 40 years, ADL spied on its enemies and shared intelligence with the US, Israel and other governments. The reason all of this matters is that ADL's advertiser boycott against X may be an effort by governments to regain the ability to censor users on X that they had under Twitter before Musk's takeover last November. Internal Twitter and Facebook messages show that representatives of the US government, including the White House, FBI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as well as the UK government, successfully demanded Facebook and Twitter censorship of their users over the last several years.
We've been covering this topic of the toxic "Bot Patrol" trying to negatively influence the minds of youths and other 'truth seekers' who are new to alternative information, 1 2 3 and 4.
We have shown in these articles, substantial circumstantial evidence, that at least some of these bots are paid CIA/ Military trolls as part of a PsyOps program. Some of them are paid by private groups, NGOs, etc. but in any case, we have shown that they are paid bots, because you can't grow millions of followers without a) spending money or b) an influencer or c) the platform (X) is giving you free promotion for a government troll in exchange for something else (i.e. don't sue me.. or give me information on my competitors).
X seems to be the bot platform of choice for some reason, and although Elon is taking huge steps by suing the ADL, there still remains a huge quantity of toxic troll bots on the platform, many of which are claimed to be Satanic, as part of a mass hypnosis ritual. These bots don't seem to be so widely proliferated on Free Speech platform Gab. And the ADL is the tip of the iceberg, although it remains the most aggressive public actor, in spreading threats of violence against targeted racial groups (such as the Palestinians, for example) and "Supremacism" backed by lawyers and donors with deep pockets.
As pointed out by Free Speech advocate Andrew Torba, it isn't so simple like suing the ADL:
X is built on the rails of multiple third-party services including, but not limited to the Google Cloud infrastructure among others. X has had a partnership with Google Cloud since 2018, and Bloomberg reports that this collaboration has incurred annual expenses ranging from $200 million to $300 million for the company. Jonathan Greenblatt has openly bragged about the ADL’s partnership with Google, YouTube, Facebook, and X, going so far as to change the algorithms of these companies to meet their demands. With one phone call to Google the ADL can cripple X. If Google pulls the plug on the cloud hosting deal massive parts of X’s critical infrastructure will be down for a long time, possibly the entire platform would be taken offline with one click. We saw this happen in 2020 with Parler when Amazon AWS pulled the plug and the platform was taken offline. They were never able to fully recover and recently shut the platform down completely after it sold to a third-party. Going after the cloud hosting providers is just the start for the ADL’s ability to utterly destroy X. Next come the app store bans.
The one thing Elon has in his favor is deep pockets and a huge following of like minded individuals. But it's not only the ADL, there is a 'dark net' of groups that utilize NGOs, corrupt government offices, private organizations, secret societies, and other agent provocateurs that are aggressively trying to control the minds of the masses. This network is so pervasive, it literally shows up in all parts of society, even the Smithsonian has been caught hiding bones of Giants and other historical evidence that doesn't fit into the narrative they want to portray. In the below chart, you can see the ADL, while a major node in the network, is only one node of many:
2023-09-08_13h04_08.png

This chart was made by Dr. John Coleman, who once worked for the intelligence apparatus before becoming a whistleblower. He has what's known as HUMANINT or Human Intelligence. As a spymaster, he saw the secret dealings of the Elite, and how they used governments and intelligence agencies to do their dirty work. In the case of the ADL, it's mostly character assassinations, and defeating lawsuits - in the case of some of their victims, they can be sued into bankruptcy, with the only hope of giving up their project and sacrificing their morals.
Ironically, we obtained a free PDF copy of the work from CIA.gov -
Coleman.-.CONSPIRATORS.HIERARCHY.-.THE.STORY.OF.THE.COMMITTEE.OF.300.R
So, Elon, if you are going to go after the ADL, it's just one of the arms of the 100 arm Octopus, if you want to kill the beast, you'll have to cut off the head.

NewsGuard & US Govt. Sued By Consortium News; Musk Slams 'Scam'

BY TYLER DURDEN
MONDAY, OCT 23, 2023 - 02:20 PM

Link: https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/newsguard-us-govt-sued-consortium-news-musk-slams-scam/

NewsGuard, a company which claims to rate media outlets' level of 'trustworthiness' and therefore has a meaningful influence over ad revenue, has been sued along with the Biden administration by Consortium News, which also named the Pentagon's Cyber Command for "contracting with NewsGuard to identify, report and abridge the speech of American media organizations that dissent from U.S. official positions on foreign policy."

According to the complaint, NewsGuard is "acting jointly or in concert with the United States to coerce news organizations to alter viewpoints" regarding Ukraine, Russia and Syria, and has impsed a form of "censorship and repression of views" that diverge from US policies and those of its allies, the complaint says.
Consortium also notes that NewsGuard has branded the entirety of Consortium News' 20,000+ articles as 'unreliable' based on just six examples they took issue with (which is the exact same thing they do with ZeroHedge and other independent media).
NewsGuard uses its software to tag targeted news sites, including all 20,000+ Consortium News articles an videos published since 1995, with warnings to "proceed with caution," telling NewsGuard subscribers that Consortium News produces "disinformation," "false content" and is an "anti-U.S." media organization, even though NewsGuard only took issue with a total of six CN articles and none of its videos.
The complaint seeks a permanent injunction declaring the joint program unconstitutional;
barring the government and NewsGuard from continuing such practices and more than $13 million in damages for defamation and civil rights violations. -Consortium News

Last week former Trump administration official Mike Benz noted on X that Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales is an adviser to NewsGuard, and that the nanny organization was "knee deep in a plot to get [governments] to bankrupt alternative news. NewsGuard worked [with the] EU on new disinformation code. Its biz model has ‘disinformation compliance’ services [with the] censorship laws it promotes."

In another X thread, Elon Musk called Newsguard a "scam" after they gave political commentator Tim Pool a strike "because we ran 5 stories out of nearly 5,000 that quoted [former President Donald] Trump."

Acording to Uncover DC, NewsGuard has contracts with the DoD, WHO, Pfizer, Microsoft & AFT.
Co-CEOs Steven Brill and Gordon Crovitz claim it is the librarian for the internet.” Set up specifically to rate online journalistic integrity, Brill states NewsGuard provides services that explain to people something about the reliability and trustworthiness and background of those who are feeding them the news.” Eric Effron is the organization’s Editorial Director.
Brill is a Yale graduate and lawyer who has authored multiple best-selling books and was, among other things, CEO of Verified Identity Pass, Inc., the first U.S. biometric Voluntary Credentialing Program that went bankrupt in 2009. It was the parent company of CLEAR which went back online in 2010 and then went public in 2021.
According to MintPressNews, “Crovitz held a number of positions at Dow Jones and the Wall Street Journal, eventually becoming executive vice president of the former and the publisher of the latter before both were sold to Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp in 2007. He is also a board member of Business Insider, which has received over $30 million from Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos in recent years.”
Crovitz’s alliances might account for the organization’s favorable 100 ratings for WSJ and the Washington Post. He is also a contributor “to books published by the American Enterprise Institute and Heritage Foundation,” which are also favorably rated by NewsGuard.
* * *
NewsGuard’s directors, advisors, and investors are an interesting cast of characters. One of the investors, Publicis Groupe, is “the third largest communications group in the world.” Publicic allegedly has “shadowy ties to Saudi Arabia.” Pfizer and Bayer/Monsanto are two of its top clients. Ironically, many of the advisors/directors are former U.S. government officials, entertainment moguls, and journalists “associated with agencies known for producing false news.”
Among the advisors is Michael Hayden, former Director of the NSA and CIA, who was “the architect of George W. Bush’s secret domestic spying program.” Tom Ridge was the first Office of Homeland Security Director following 9/11. Richard Stengel “is a former senior official in Obama’s state department who once described his role as being that of ‘chief propagandist.‘”
And as the Epoch Times noted in August, NewsGuard presents itself as objective and nonpartisan. Its ratings, the company says, measure media quality on nine criteria, including transparency of authorship and ownership and adherence to standard editorial practice, such as issuing corrections and labeling opinion pieces. In practice, however, most of the score boils down to whether the media present content that, in NewsGuard’s opinion, is truthful.
The first criterion specifically looks at whether the target repeatedly publishes false claims. Another examines whether it publishes news “responsibly.” But failing the first one means failing the second one, NewsGuard explains on its website. Yet another criterion is whether the target uses accurate headlines.
Again, if the headline says something NewsGuard considers to be untrue, that counts as a failure. Another criterion looks for a policy of regularly correcting errors—or what NewsGuard considers to be errors. Together, these four criteria add up to more than 60 points of the 100-point score.
Even if NewsGuard can’t find anything to dispute, it can still dock points if the target doesn’t sufficiently represent opinions the company would like to see.
Such content providers “egregiously cherry pick facts or stories to advance opinions,” it argues.
Meanwhile, at least 60 points are needed for NewsGuard to issue its “credible” rating.
This methodology becomes particularly problematic when NewsGuard itself is wrong on the facts. For example, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company considered false the notion that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China. If a news outlet with a perfect score responsibly reported on the extensive circumstantial evidence indicating a lab leak, it ran the risk of NewsGuard decimating its score and falsely labelling it an “unreliable” source that “severely violates basic journalistic standards.”
The COVID-19 origins issue was a rare case in which NewsGuard eventually issued a correction, though it only went as far as saying that the lab leak hypothesis couldn’t be completely ruled out.
