Illinois Governor JB Pritzker recently begged Governor Greg Abbott of Texas for “mercy” amidst the surge of illegal immigrants being transported to the sanctuary state of Illinois.
But he wasn’t begging for mercy for his citizens. He was pleading on behalf of the illegal immigrants, who he feared would be too cold.
Pritzker would likely prefer that Abbott send the illegals to a tropical destination with warm weather and a beach. Perhaps he wants them sent to Key West, Florida, a premier vacation destination, forecasted to have highs in the 70s and lows in the 60s next week.

But unlike Illinois, Florida is not a sanctuary state that welcomes illegal immigrants with open arms, nor is Texas.

Remember that Pritzker, last October, diverted rental assistance funds meant for American citizens to house illegal border crossers. He cares more about the so-called refugees invading our country than his own citizens!

His next step is seemingly to ask residents to open their homes to these potentially dangerous illegal immigrants, who are mostly military-aged, single males, not children and families, as Pritzker claims in a letter to Abbott. The Gateway Pundit recently reported that Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey declared a state of emergency and asked their citizens to loan extra room in their homes to dangerous illegal immigrants.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports,
Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Friday sent Texas Gov. Greg Abbott a sweeping letter about the ongoing migrant crisis, urging him to halt drop-offs during a dangerous winter storm.

“While action is pending at the federal level, I plead with you for mercy for the thousands of people who are powerless to speak for themselves,” Pritzker said in the letter. “Please, while winter is threatening vulnerable people’s lives, suspend your transports and do not send more people to our state.”
Pritzker wrote that sending migrants to Chicago this weekend — when temperatures are expected to reach dangerously low temperatures after several inches of snowfall — will potentially cost lives. Wind chill values are expected to dip to minus 17 degrees Saturday night.
“Your callousness, sending buses and planes full of migrants in this weather, is now life-threatening to every one of the arrivals,” Pritzker wrote. “Hundreds of children’s and families’ health and survival are at risk due to your actions.”

But it’s not just Illinois and Massachusets seeing the effects of Democrats’ open borders. As The Gateway Pundit reported, tens of thousands of illegal aliens have flooded New York City, a proud sanctuary city, and they were recently filmed lining up for blocks to receive free (taxpayer-funded) housing in New York City.
After recently introducing new restrictions on buses carrying illegals into NYC to better handle the flood of migrants invited by Joe Biden, Mayor Eric Adams is now suing the bus companies for transporting them there.
The Democrat mayor of Edison, New Jersey, Sam Joshi, recently aired his complaints, citing security and health risks and adding, “We don’t want them in Edison, period. That’s the bottom line.”

And it’s not Greg Abbott’s fault that these illegals are being allowed into our country and transported to east coast cities. The Biden Regime is already doing this with millions of illegals encountered at the border. The Biden Regime is even suing Texas to prevent the state from securing its southern border with razor wire and from deporting illegal aliens.
Abbott is doing all he can to protect his own state, and Democrats in sanctuary states and cities have always boasted that they will accept illegals. In fact, Pritzker has signed legislation “expanding protections for immigrant and refugee communities and further establishing Illinois as the most welcoming state in the nation,” thus making the state a magnet for illegal immigration.
Video footage from Chicago O’Hare Airport, which “has practically become a migrant camp,” according to some reports, shows the devastating consequences that Joe Biden’s open border policies have on sanctuary cities.

Oklahoma’s Republican Governor Kevin Stitt declared he sides with the State of Texas in its entanglement with the Biden administration over defending itself from the invasion happening at the southern border.

The governor’s declaration comes as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) issued a statement on Wednesday explaining the US Constitution allows for Texas to defend its sovereignty, despite the US Supreme Court’s decision favoring the Biden administration’s open border policies.

“The failure of the Biden administration to fulfill the duties by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense,” Abbott wrote. “For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself.”

Texas’ resistance has inspired many on social media, including House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), to express solidarity with the Lone Star State’s right to defend its borders, in what’s shaping up to be a showdown of epic proportions.

“This is a Fight for the Future of America”: Texas Gov. Tells Tucker He’s “Prepared” for Conflict with Feds

'We will continue to do exactly what we're doing to expand our denial of illegal entry into the state of Texas,' says governor.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has indicated he will stand his ground against the Biden Administration, telling Tucker Carlson he’s “prepared” to put up a fight over his state’s right to defend its borders.

In an interview released on X Friday, Abbott told Carlson it would be foolish of Biden to attempt to nationalize the Texas National Guard, as has been proposed by radical Democrats.

“Well, first I’ll be shocked,” Abbott admitted, adding, “That would be a boneheaded move on his part. A total disaster.

“For one, as you might imagine, we are prepared in the event that that unlikely event does occur to make sure that we will be able to continue exactly what we’ve been doing over the past month and that is building these barriers. And whether it be the concertina wire or other anti-climbing border barriers, whatever we’ve been building, the Biden administration is now trying to attack us because of it. And we will continue to do exactly what we’re doing to expand our denial of illegal entry into the state of Texas,” the governor declared.

Abbott added he’s already deployed numerous armed law enforcement agents to the southern border, along with the Texas National Guard and “National Guard from other states,” a force he anticipates will expand in the near future.

“We do have other armed state employees on the border as we speak right this minute and that’s the Texas Department of Public Safety, as well as other law enforcement officers (LEO), as well as National Guard from other states, and you can be assured there will be more National Guard from other states and more law enforcement officers within the state of Texas and other states,” Abbott stated, adding a law he signed authorizing LEOs in Texas to arrest illegals goes into effect on March 5.

The Texas governor went on to explain he’d spoken with puppet President Joe Biden directly on the border issue, and that the president’s dereliction of duty to protect Texas borders has triggered the governor’s constitutional authority to act.

“He [Biden] has refused to ever respond,” Abbott said. “We have laid down the precursor of what’s called Article 4, Section 4 of the United States Constitution to show that we have been invaded, and we have demanded support from the president to safeguard our state, and they have refused to do so eight times, and that authorized me to declare an invasion under Article 1, Section 10, of the Constitution to make sure that Texas is going to be able to use every tool in our arsenal to defend our state.”

Abbott also said he believed numerous states would send their National Guard forces to aid Texas, characterizing the skirmish as “a fight for the future of America.”

“I’ll be shocked and disappointed if almost all of them do not send. There have been about 10 so far that have sent National Guard or other law enforcement. They now are joined together with us. And this is a fight for the future of America, and they all know it. And so I believe that they will all be in on this effort.”

Abbott invoked America’s Founding Fathers in a statement earlier this week explaining the US Constitution allows for Texas to defend its sovereignty.

Asked what comes next, Abbott acknowledged he intends to continue erecting barriers to prevent illegal entry into his state.

“Texas is going to continue to expand the border barriers that we are erecting, the razor wire that we’re putting up, and to continue to gain control of more land over the coming month,” the governor said.

“I believe however that this will all come to an end on January the 20th of next year because I believe a new president will be sworn in a president who will actually enforce the immigration laws of the entire country,” he predicted.

“And we will have safe and secure borders once again because we will have a president who actually will enforce the laws of the United States of America.”

Abbott’s comments come as the Republican governors of 25 states have pledged to back the Lone Star State in its feud with Biden.
