House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan intends to grill Hunter Biden’s former prosecutor regarding the investigation’s management and the decision to allow the statute of limitations to expire for specific tax years involving Hunter Biden’s Burisma income.
During an interview on Fox News, Jordan argued that the Ukrainian energy company has made substantial payments to Hunter Biden, so it is believed that there may be ties between Burisma, President Joe Biden, and the White House.
“Lesley Wolf, assistant U.S. Attorney for the DOJ out of Wilmington, Delaware, is part of a five-year investigation into Hunter Biden. Served with David Weiss. Allegedly deviated from the protocol for preferential treatment—that’s the allegation. And is known to be a Democratic campaign donor, Leslie Wolf. How could one person hold all of this up? Is it that simple?” host Bill Hemmer asked.
“Well, I think it was the whole investigation. As you pointed out, Bill, it took them five years and is still ongoing. It’s now special counsel David Weiss. Lesley Wolf, according to whistleblowers, is the lady who said we’re not going to look into campaign finance concerns that Mr. Shapley, Mr. Ziegler, and others of the investigative team thought should be examined,” Jordan began.
“She’s the one who said you can’t use the term Big Guy when you do any interviews. You can’t talk about ‘Political Figure Number One’, who we all know was Joe Biden. So we want to ask her questions about all that, and maybe most importantly, why did the investigation decide to let the tax years 2014 and 2015, when the bulk of the Burisma income was coming to Hunter Biden, why did they let the statute of limitations lapse for those years?” Jordan asked.
Jordan continued: “My theory is that when you get into Burisma, you get to the White House. It is one thing to charge Hunter Biden with a gun charge in Delaware. That doesn’t even involve Joe Biden. But when you get into Burisma it does, because this is a Ukrainian energy company that paid Hunter Biden so much money. So we want to ask her some questions about that as well.”

Democrats are becoming increasingly concerned about President Joe Biden as he sinks in the polls, appears to be getting more cognitively impaired, and as his son, Hunter Biden, faces a growing number of federal indictments.
In a column published by The Hill, Douglas MacKinnon, a political and communications consultant who worked in the Reagan and Bush 41 White Houses, suggested that the president’s problems have become so profound that Democrats behind the scenes may be considering approaching first lady Jill Biden to see if she can convince him to drop out of his race for reelection.
“Long before the latest charges against Hunter Biden, the Biden name had become, for many, a literal punchline,” his column began.
“Each passing week brings more and more Democrats or left-leaning journalists openly bemoaning that President Joe Biden will be their nominee for 2024. Left-leaning editor and Biden fan Harold Meyerson has a piece out titled ‘Are Democrats Sleepwalking to Disaster?’ The main premise is that ‘Biden is the candidate least able to defeat Donald Trump’ and that other Democrats need to enter the race,'” MacKinnon wrote.
He went on to note that, while he does not agree with Biden on much, he is the president and should be treated as such. Beyond that, MacKinnon said Biden is also a fellow human being, and he takes no great joy in seeing multiple video clips portraying an aging Biden dropped online each week.
Law professor Jonathan Turley wrote a column for The Hill titled, “With Hunter’s indictment, Democrats face a moment of maddening truth.”
That “truth” is that the blanket of corruption has seemingly—and alarmingly—settled over the Biden White House. As Turley writes, “According to recent polling, nearly 70 percent of voters (and 40 percent of Democrats) believe that Biden has acted unlawfully, unethically, or both.”
Turley went on to write: “It is now clear that Biden lied when he maintained his position as a candidate and later as president, that he did not know about his son’s business dealings with foreign interests… It is also now clear that he lied in denying that his son never made money in China. The indictment confirms massive transfers from Chinese sources.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says he doesn’t believe the $15 million in loans to Joe Biden’s family are actual loans.

On Tuesday, Comer (R-Ky.) said that a loan is something that needs to be paid back but that there was no expectation that the Bidens would pay back the money given to them through business deals.
“And it looks like with the president’s son and brother, there’s about $15M in loans,” he said. “And as someone that’s been involved in banking, I don’t have much confidence in any of them are loans. Not a single penny.”
He says that his investigation into the Bidens has forced Merrick Garland’s DOJ to change course on how to pursue charges against son Hunter Biden.
“Because we’ve uncovered the facts in a transparent manner – we’ve used bank records, bank records don’t lie. The DOJ has had to change course with respect to how they’ve treated the Biden family. I mean, just a few months ago, Hunter Biden was expected to get a blanket immunity sweetheart plea deal,” Comer continued.
His comments come as the impeachment inquiry into the current president continues to ramp up.

Impeachment witness says no record of work, loan to James Biden before payment to brother

Undocumented loans from failed health company Americore to James Biden came under scrutiny by the House Oversight Committee after it discovered he used some of the funds to repay a $200,000 "loan" from Joe Biden.

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability has released a transcript of its impeachment inquiry interview with a representative of Americore, the now-bankrupt healthcare company that loaned presidential brother James Biden hundreds of thousands of dollars before it went under.
Carol Fox, the trustee who represented Americore during its bankruptcy proceedings, said she could neither determine what role James Biden played nor identify any paperwork backing up the loans made to him from the struggling company in 2018.
According to the transcript of her testimony reviewed by Just the News, Fox told the committee that Biden purportedly provided consulting services to the company through his firm, Lion Hall, but in her financial investigation she could not determine exactly what those services were, nor Biden’s role at Americore despite a business card listing him as a “Principal.”
“What was James Biden's role at Americore?” investigators asked.

“I don’t think we know,” she replied. “Well, we have what his business card says he does, but in as far as what he actually did while he was in the company, that preceded my involvement with the company. And so I think we have a business card that says what his ... stated role was, but what he actually did, I don't know,” she added.
As trustee of the bankruptcy estate, Carol Fox sued James Biden in July 2022 because he failed to repay the $600,000 in loans and because she could not identify the services he allegedly provided. The court documents were previously disclosed by the House Oversight Committee during its investigation into James Biden’s payment to his brother.
“Is it fair to say that you weren’t able to identify any services that he provided to Americore?” investigators asked.
“Well, that’s why I sued him, so…” she answered. “I did not think that he provided services to the debtors,” she added later.
Indeed, Fox’s financial investigation found no documentary evidence for the “consulting & marketing” services for which Americore paid James Biden $10,000 in addition to the loans.

“There's the same amount of documentation for the consulting and marketing agreement as there is for the loans -- none,” Fox told the committee. Not only could Fox not identify the services that James Biden provided to Americore, but her investigation yielded no paperwork documenting the loans the company sent to him, despite bank records showing that transfers were made.
The financial investigation uncovered a $400,000 wire transfer to Biden’s bank account identified as a "loan" from the bank records, however, Fox told the committee that her investigation did not find any promissory notes or official documentation for the payment. She also could not identify documentation showing the collateral for the loan nor the justification for it.
“And were there any documents or promissory notes or anything documenting the loan itself?” investigators asked. “No. There was one thing that said 'loan,' and that's why this was called a loan, is because of the exhibits that were filed with this complaint [the lawsuit against James Biden]…” Fox answered.
“Do you know if there was any documentation showing what the loan was potentially collateralized by?” Fox was asked later. “I didn't find any documentation supporting that,” she answered.

“Did you find any documentation where James Biden submitted the reason why he was trying to obtain this loan from Americore?” investigators asked. “No,” Fox answered.
Fox told the committee that the second loan, for $200,000, also lacked any kind of official documentation or paperwork, according to the transcript.
The Oversight Committee first identified Americore as the source of a series of loans to James Biden, some of which, the committee argues, was used to send a payment to his brother Joe Biden. In total, the committee found $600,000 in loans from the healthcare company, which operated rural hospitals, to James Biden.
One of the loans – for $200,000 – was sent to James Biden’s personal bank account by the company. The same day, he sent a payment for an identical amount to his brother, Joe Biden, labeled as a loan repayment. The committee argues that the transfer from Americore funded the payment to Joe Biden even as the company was in dire financial straits.

According to Americore’s bankruptcy court documents, James Biden had made representations to the company that “his last name, ‘Biden,’ could 'open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections,” Just the News previously reported.
Though Fox was not able to recall where these quotes came from, she confirmed to the committee that there are “supporting documents or information” she could provide that would show James Biden making these representations.
In September 2022, James Biden agreed to pay $350,000 to settle the lawsuit against him by Fox, Americore’s bankruptcy trustee. The lawsuit placed blame on Biden for receiving the vast sums in loans while the company was struggling financially.
Despite settling the suit, Biden continued to insist that he did nothing wrong and delivered the consulting services for which the company paid him. Fox also told the committee that Joe Biden’s name did not come up in the trustee investigation into Americore’s payments to his brother.

“Jim had a vision of revitalizing failing rural hospitals,” James Biden’s lawyer, David Randolph Smith, told The Wall Street Journal, answering allegations that James Biden did not provide the services he promised. “He provided extensive financial and consulting services to Americore.”
After the Oversight Committee released the evidence of the $200,000 check from James to Joe Biden following Americore’s wire to the former, Paul Fishman, attorney for James Biden for James Biden called the committee’s descriptions "misleading." The Oversight Committee's description of the $200,000 check is highly selective and misleading, Paul Fishman, attorney for James Biden, reportedly said.
"The Committee has the bank documents that show both the loan Jim received from his brother in January 2018 and the repayment by check six weeks later. At no time did Jim involve his brother in any of his business relationships,” he continued.
The Oversight Committee is set to release several more interview transcripts in the coming weeks as the committee prepares to interview Hunter Biden on February 28. One transcript will come from the interview of Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Rob Walker, who confirmed to the committee that Hunter Biden’s work for the Chinese energy company CEFC began while his father was still vice president.

Eric Schwerin, an associate who long helped to manage Hunter Biden’s finances and businesses, and Mervyn Yan, who helped facilitate payments from CEFC China to Biden family members, were recently interviewed by the committee.
James Biden is set to appear before the committee on February 21, one week before his nephew. He will likely be asked about his “loan” repayments to his brother Joe Biden and about his dealings with Americore.
James Biden was also closely involved with Hunter Biden’s efforts to court CEFC China Energy officials from 2015 to 2017. Previously the Oversight Committee identified another $40,000 loan repayment from James Biden to his brother, which the committee alleged was funded by transfers from CEFC.

WATCH: “Hunter Biden is a Liar!” – Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Rips Into Hunter Biden’s Attempts to Cry About His Addiction and Lie About His Family Business Dealings in Closed-Door House Deposition

Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene on Wednesday tore into Hunter Biden for crying victim as he lied about his overseas business dealings, selling the Biden family name, in a closed-door deposition before the United States House of Representatives.
“The theme that we heard in the room was Hunter Biden’s a liar. The Biden family has no product and no service, and Hunter Biden can’t hide behind his addiction,” Greene told reporters.
“Hunter Biden is a liar, and while Hunter Biden claims that the only person that has evidence of a bribe is being locked up in LA, everyone needs to remember that his father is also President of the United States and is also head of the regime that is conducting the prosecution and witch hunt against all of his political opponents,” she continued.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Alexander Smirnov, the FBI’s Confidential Human Source who blew the whistle on the Biden-Burisma bribery scheme, is currently sitting behind bars pending trial, as he is accused of lying about the Biden family’s business ties.

The message here: don’t stand up to the Regime.
Hunter testified before the House Oversight and Judiciary committees. Republicans have investigated numerous bank statements that place President Biden’s second son and crack addict at the very center of their impeachment inquiry. Congress alleges Hunter and his father engineered an elaborate web of lucrative, overseas business ventures that leaned heavily on Joe Biden’s international influence. Joe Biden, his brothers, his son, and family members have benefited financially from those shady arrangements.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) alleges that just one Suspicious Activity Report (SARS) on the Biden family’s finances that she reviewed at the Treasury Department earlier this year involved “tens of millions of dollars and then some.”

Hunter Biden on Wednesday arrived on Capitol Hill yesterday for his closed-door deposition before Congress in part of the Republican impeachment process against Joe Biden.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Hunter lashed out at Republicans during his deposition, claiming, “I did not involve my father in my business.”

Democrats are already with their talking points.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) accused Republican leaders of “working with Russia to interfere in the November 2024 election on behalf of Vladimir Putin.”
However, Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene came out swinging at Hunter Biden’s lies and the Biden Regime’s persecution of political opponents while inviting Hunter Biden to answer questions in a public hearing.
Rep. MTG commented on X,

While Hunter Biden hides behind claims of addiction, the evidence is clear – he cashed in on his father’s name to make millions in Ukraine and China.
Joe Biden has serious questions to answer about his family’s pay-to-play schemes.
Watch below: [see site link, above, top]
Greene: So impressive to listen to Hunter Biden either give excuses about being a drug addict and how difficult it is to go through years of addiction, and then swing the next minute to his extreme expertise and business experience that placed him on so many boards and allowed him to teach at Georgetown University. You see, the theme that we heard in the room was Hunter Biden is a liar. The Biden family has no product and no service, and Hunter Biden can’t hide behind his addiction, which is heartbreaking. Many Americans suffer with addictions, but many Americans—actually, I would say all Americans except Hunter Biden that suffer from drug addiction and alcohol addiction would never be placed on boards of companies like Burisma and would never be teaching at Georgetown unless their last name was Biden.
And that’s what we heard in the room there today. There’s also an interesting theme there. Hunter Biden is a liar, and while Hunter Biden claims that the only person that has evidence of a bribe is being locked up in LA, everyone needs to remember that his father is also President of the United States and is also head of the regime that is conducting the prosecution and witch hunt against all of his political opponents. So, we had a very long deposition with Hunter today, presented a lot of evidence, and we look forward to him coming to a public hearing, which I would hope that he is willing and courageous to show up to after today’s private deposition.

Joe Biden’s Brother Told The IRS That Hunter Was In Business With ‘Protege’ Of Chinese President

President Joe Biden’s brother told the Internal Revenue Service that Hunter Biden told him he was in business with a “protege of President Xi,” referring to the leader of China, according to notes by an IRS investigator that were divulged during a congressional interview of Jim Biden.
When asked by Congress about the comment, Jim Biden affirmed that “It was alleged by Hunter to me, and I, obviously, I said that, and that’s my recollection,” he said in regards to Ye Jianming, the chairman of Chinese energy firm CEFC, who was later arrested for fraud in China and disappeared.

He later said his comments used a “term of art,” saying “It was a gratuitous comment, okay, and it wasn’t well chosen, okay, being a protege of the chairman of the Chinese Communist Party.”
Jim also denied the existence of a meeting between the now-president and himself, Hunter, and Tony Bobulinski, who were pursuing a lucrative deal with CECF–appearing to contradict Hunter, who later corroborated elements of the meeting to the same congressmen.
In his transcribed interview, Jim railed against Bobulinski, who has said that Joe Biden met with him and Hunter Biden about CEFC in May 2017 at the bar of a hotel in Beverly Hills where Joe Biden was staying. Text messages showed Jim arranging to meet with Bobulinski. But Jim strenuously and unambiguously declared that a meeting with Joe never occurred. “I could have been there just with Tony Bobulinski. I could have been there with Hunter as well. But my brother was never there,” he told Congress.Jim testified privately to the House Oversight and Judiciary committees on February 21 as part of their impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden, but the committees did not release the transcript until Friday, shortly after of testimony by Hunter Biden, who engaged in overseas businesses with his father’s brother.
So Hunter might not have known about his uncle’s answer when
he admitted this week that “My uncle and myself” were “in the lobby bar with Mr. Bobulinski having coffee” when “my dad went and shook hands with Tony.”
Additionally, Bobulinski texted Jim: “please thank Joe for his time, was great to talk.”
Jim Biden said in the deposition that he helped Zang Jianjun, Chairman Ye’s lieutenant, get a U.S. visa through a former immigration official, find an apartment in New York City, and locate a school for his children. “I was doing it out of personal kindness to — to familiarize him and his family with the city,” he said.
Jim Biden said that Zang, through a Washington, D.C.-based associate, gave Hunter Biden a diamond, and that Hunter Biden gave it to him. He threw it in the trash after a jeweler told him it was only worth a few hundred dollars, he said.
Jim Biden said that Joe Biden’s assertion during the election that his family did not take money from China was not false because CEFC was a private Chinese company. Jim Biden said he believed CEFC was not government-affiliated because he took Hunter Biden’s word for it, even though he also said that Hunter Biden was erratic.\
He also said that Joe Biden didn’t know about the CEFC deal at all, contradicting other evidence. The IRS interviewed Jim Biden and also reviewed evidence into Hunter Biden’s affairs, some of which was introduced in the congressional deposition. In one text, Hunter Biden wrote that his “uncle will be here with his BROTHER who would like to say hello to the chairman,” he said, referring to Ye.
Jim Biden said he later encouraged Hunter Biden to cut Bobulinski and other partners out of the CEFC deal, saying they had not brought any investment leads — though he also couldn’t point to any that Hunter had generated.
The president’s brother said that when bank records show him writing checks for $240,000 to Joe Biden — money traceable back to CEFC — it was to repay money that Joe lent him, though it was unclear whether bank records reflect Joe actually sending that money.
“We haven’t seen the evidence of you receiving that money. Do you have any documentation surrounding receipt of that money, whether it’s a bank deposit, bank transfer, wire, anything of that nature?” a congressman asked.
“Congressman, I think we received those documents at the same time you received those documents from the banks,” Jim Biden’s lawyer said.
“It’s my understanding there’s nothing in the bank records that show the receipt of the money,” the congressman said.
“I can’t point to it at the moment, but I don’t think that that’s correct,” the lawyer said.
Jim Biden categorically denied numerous specific charges from multiple sources in a recent Politico story that said he invoked his brother’s name when doing business with hospital firm Americore. The article said a “former executive said that Jim Biden spoke of plans — which did not come to pass — to give Joe Biden equity in Americore.”
Jim Biden said of the claim, “That is ridiculous on its face. No.”
The article also claimed that “a third former executive said that [Americore’s founder] and Jim Biden spoke of plans to put Joe Biden on Americore’s board,” to which Jim Biden responded: “Again, ridiculous. No.”
Politico also obtained an email in which Jim Biden wrote to a healthcare executive, “This would be a perfect platform to expose my brother’s team to your protocol.” House Republicans asked, “Does this — quoting an email, does this change any of your other answers about never involving –” to which Jim Biden replied “No.”
Asked if “it would be odd if somebody went into a business meeting and put Joe Biden on speakerphone, correct, if it had nothing to do with the business meeting? Would you agree with me?” Jim Biden said, “Yes, I would.” Other Hunter business associates have said that Hunter did just that.
The president’s brother, who went on rambling discursions during the interview, said he had a close relationship with Hunter Biden in part because he was also a recovering alcoholic. “I have probably taken, you know, two dozen people to treatment centers, half of them being family members and/or extended family members or friends,” he explained.
He said he has taken loans from John Hynansky, who owns car dealerships in the Ukraine and Delaware, and who President Biden mentioned in a speech in the Ukraine while he was Vice President. He said he has not paid them off because the lender is wealthy and “is not pressing.”
After Hollywood lawyer Kevin Morris paid off Hunter Biden’s tax debts, Jim Biden said Hunter Biden asked him to thank Morris “on behalf of the family,” with the comment suggesting that he was speaking on behalf of Joe.
