WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police say they have arrested one of five suspects involved in a West Ashley home invasion and robbery last week.
Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said 18-year-old Isaiah Terrell Wittrell was arrested Friday and charged with armed robbery and burglary first-degree.
Wittrell and four other suspects are accused of entering an apartment at 1724 Ashley Hall Road through a closed door around 4:30 p.m. last Thursday and robbing a man at gunpoint.
The victim told police he was lying on his bed watching television when the suspects walked in and said "give us your money."
According to the report, the victim first refused before one of the suspects pulled out a gun and told him to "find [his] wallet."
The victim told officers the suspects left after taking his cash.
Wittrell is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center. During a bond hearing last week, he was granted a $200,000 bond.
