ROCK HILL, S.C. – Family members say a Rock Hill mother is an innocent victim in a drive-by shooting.


Investigators say 33-year-old Jennifer Robinson was shot early Saturday morning on Friedheim Road.


She was pronounced dead at the hospital.


On a GoFundMe page, they call Jennifer a “kind soul” and say this is a “pointless tragedy.”


Police have not made an arrest and are looking for a dark-colored sedan that sped away from the scene.

Rock Hill Police arrested 25-year-old Brenden Johnson for the murder of Jennifer Robinson back in March. They say tips from the community led them to Johnson who was hiding in Charlotte.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police have made an arrest in a homicide investigation in Rock Hill.


Jennifer Robinson was shot and killed on March 25th on Freidheim Road. Family members told WCCB, Robinson was an innocent bystander.

Rock Hill Police say with the assistance of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, they were able to identify 25-year-old Brenden Johnson as a suspect in the case.


On Wednesday, Johnson was arrested in Charlotte on a murder warrant. He is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Rock Hill.

Man arrested in deadly Rock Hill shooting investigation, police say

25-year-old Brenden Demarkus Johnson was taken into custody on Wednesday in Charlotte for shooting and killing a woman back in March, police said.

25-year-old Brenden Demarkus Johnson was identified as a suspect and was taken into custody on Wednesday in Charlotte, police said. He is currently being held at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center awaiting extradition.

According to the Rock Hill Police Department, officers arrested 25-year-old Brenden Demarkus Johnson April 19 in Charlotte.

He was identified as the suspect in the shooting death of 33-year-old Jennifer Robinson.

She was found dead on the 100 block of Friedheim Road, near Friedheim Park.

Johnson was charged with murder and is currently being held at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center. He will next be extradited back to South Carolina.
