Man sentenced to 12 years for assault with deadly weapon

A 44 year old man from Brent has been sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment at Harrow Crown Court (29th March 2010).
Dennis Barrington Black (date of birth 08/12/1965) of Lambert Walk, HA9 was previously found guilty of GBH with Intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on 9th February at Harrow Crown Court after pleading not guilty to the shooting of a 28 year old, Asian woman in Lockier Walk in June 2000. Black was acquitted of attempted murder.
On Monday 19th June 2000, at 21:57, police were called by several members of the public to reports of shots fired at a residential address in Lockier Walk, Wembley.
On arrival, officers found a woman suffering from gun shot wounds. She was taken by LAS to a local hospital where initially she was believed to be in a life threatening condition.
