Man Arrested, Charged With Human Trafficking After Riding School Bus To Rankin County High School​

A 24-year-old has been arrested after he was found inside Northwest Rankin High School in Rankin County.
According to Rankin County Lead Investigator Fred Lovett, a man named Lemarcus Kelon McDougle got on a school bus at Laurel Park and rode it to Northwest Rankin High School.
School Resource Officer for Northwest Rankin, Chance White, told us that McDougle got off the bus at 10:05 a.m. and he was confronted at the door at 10:07 a.m. He was confronted after he didn’t have a student id to show.
Rankin County Investigator Lovett said he resisted arrest when he was being taken into custody.
He is being held at the Rankin County Jail.
McDougle is being charged with the following charges:
  • Disturbing public school session
  • Interfering with the operations of a school bus
  • Trespassing
  • Failure to comply
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Human Trafficking
According to Investigator Lovett, McDougle was arrested in Jackson for Indecent Exposure on April 22 of last year.
He was also arrested in Pearl last year for trespassing in a high school there.
Investigator Lovett said this is an ongoing investigation, and more details will be released shortly.
