APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (AZFamily) — A suspect has been indicted for allegedly dismembering, stabbing and burning a teen’s body before hiding it in a desert area outside Apache Junction last year.
On Thursday, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced that 37-year-old Anthonie Ruinard Jr. was indicted by a Maricopa County grand jury for the death of 18-year-old Parker League.

On June 12, 2023, League’s body was bound in a debris burn pile in an area called “The Pit” within Tonto National Forest. The county attorney’s office says League’s body had been “dismembered, stabbed, and burned beyond recognition.” The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office had to positively identify League through dental records.

Arizona’s Family previously reported that League was visiting Arizona from Nebraska and that a family member reported him missing when he didn’t fly back to Nebraska. Court documents later revealed that League and Ruinard left a Phoenix club together before stopping at a Chandler Arco parking lot, which is the last time League was seen alive.

Ruinard allegedly tried to use League’s credit cards after his death. Court records state Ruinard admitted to using cocaine and marijuana before meeting up with League, which “may have blurred his memory.”
In October 2023, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office submitted a case on Ruinard Jr. to the MCAO for review.

“Experienced homicide prosecutors in my office combed through nearly 4,000 pages of material submitted in this homicide case. After five months of careful review, we were able to secure this indictment,” Mitchell said in a statement. “This is the next step in bringing justice to Parker League and his family.”
Ruinard Jr.’s trial date is set for July 2024.

CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - It’s a disturbing case of an extremely brutal murder of a teenager visiting Arizona and a suspect whose motive remains a mystery. On Thursday, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Anthonie Ruinard for killing 18-year-old Parker League in June. On the surface, it appeared Ruinard was a businessman running different companies and enterprises, but we’ve uncovered a history of violent crime and a bizarre path of problems left in his wake.

It’s impossible to understand how somebody could murder, mutilate, and burn a teenager, let alone one they apparently just met. Authorities say 18-year-old Parker League was visiting friends in Arizona after graduating from high school in Nebraska.

Then he was found dead in a bonfire pit in June in Bulldog Canyon with his head and hands cut off.

The man police said was using his debit and credit cards after his death was Anthonie Ruinard. Investigators found evidence that Ruinard and League left a Phoenix club together and went to a gas station. They said it was the last time League was seen alive. The teen’s blood was also found in Ruinards car.

Questions are now swirling about who Ruinard is and why he allegedly murdered Parker League. He’s no stranger to criminal activity. His criminal history includes an armed robbery, theft, a bomb threat to a school, and leaving his dog in the backyard to die, adding an animal cruelty charge to his rap sheet. But all that happened between 2003 and 2007, so the challenge is piecing together what he did after that. It appears he has a slew of LLCs and recently owned a popular restaurant in Tucson, Pastiche.

Now, former employees have shared that things weren’t as they seemed there. “I worked there in, like, January, and there were people who still hadn’t gotten paid from Thanksgiving or November, said Alberto Oceguera, who was a server at the restaurant for several months. He said many were upset because they said Ruinard was withholding money and not giving them tips, yet always showing up to the restaurant in nice cars. “It’s kind of hard to believe that a guy that has that type of money and shows that off wouldn’t pay you,” Oceguera said. That restaurant closed in February after a mysterious fire, and the cause is still unknown.

Data shows most recently, Anthonie Ruinard was the CEO of Legacy Investors Group, an investment management company, and was functioning out of an office suite in Fountain Hills. A lockout notice is now on the door, and a source said MCSO searched his office suite last week with a warrant, likely as part of the Parker League murder case. Arizona’s Family also called Ruinard’s wife, who is listed on his investment business but told us “no comment.”

MCSO said they found a lot of cocaine in his Chandler home and in his car, and Ruinard told detectives he used cocaine and marijuana before meeting up with Parker League, which he said may have “blurred his memory.” Otherwise, the motive is still unknown.

Well well well, congratulations police & 'news'.

DID LYNDON B. JOHNSON FORCE POLICE & NEWS TO SAY -- NO MOTIVE KNOWN? YES.
Otherwise, the motive is still unknown.
NO motive is needed. A black will hunt & kill Whites without a motive, they will kill anyone over a DOLLAR.

All you White parents, had better start educating your children and young adults as to the harsh reality of what blacks really are and are not only capable of doing, and after blacks get a cruel idea they WILL carry out and do some of THE most heinous violent crimes.

NEBRASKA TV NEWS
MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — Authorities say a man has been arrested in the death of a Nebraska teen whose body was found in a bonfire pile in Arizona last month.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Officials (MCSO) said yesterday that 37-year-old Anthonie Ruinard was taken into custody Wednesday and is expected to be formally charged with 1st-degree murder and other counts.

Authorities say 18-year-old Parker League was visiting friends in Arizona after graduating from Gretna High School and was last seen alive at a gas station in a Phoenix suburb with Ruinard on June 11. Police would find League's body two days later.

MCSO said detectives obtained video footage from multiple locations where League’s bank card was being used after he was reported missing. Authorities would later find evidence in Ruinard's trunk that matched League's DNA.

HEAVY via MSN - Detectives Say Anthonie Ruinard Left an Arco Gas Station in Chandler, Arizona, Together Before the Murder

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of Ruinard in July 2023, but it took until March 2024 for charges to result.

“Detectives were able to obtain video footage from multiple locations where Parker’s bank card was being used after he was discovered deceased,” the release says.

“Video footage from an Arco gas station in Chandler, AZ on June 11th showed Parker and the suspect, Anthonie leaving the store together in a black Dodge Challenger. This was the last time detectives had Parker on video alive,” it says.

“Detectives served a search warrant on Anthonie’s house and sized multiple items. While processing the Dodge Challenger, detectives located forensic evidence in the trunk, which was tested using a Rapid DNA resulting in a positive match for Parker’s DNA,” the release says.

“Due to this and additional evidence collected, detectives arrested and booked Anthonie Ruinard on 1 count of first-degree murder, 2 count Narcotic drug possession for sale, 1 count drug possession equipment for manufacturing, 1 count Narcotic drug-manufacture, 2 count possession weapon by a prohibited person, 1 count theft credit card, 1 count fraudulent use of credit card, 1 count abandonment/conceal dead body/parts,” the release notes.

Fox10 reported that, according to a missing person’s report for League, the teen “had started using cocaine” before he disappeared. Ruinard told police he had used cocaine and marijuana before meeting up with League, which might have “blurred” his memory, AZ Family reported.
