Three people were arrested and charged following a sex-trafficking investigation in Mississauga that involved two female victims, police said.
Peel Regional Police said investigators identified an illegal bawdy house operating in the area of Hurontario and Dundas Sts.
Investigators believe that the trio allegedly exercised control over both victims’ lives and profited financially.
On Tuesday, police arrested three people. Currency and jewelry were seized, along with two vehicles.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims, particularly in the GTA.
Raiden Muonghane-Dao, 23, of Mississauga is charged with two counts of receiving material benefit; two counts of communicating for the purpose to obtain sexual services; exercising control, direction or influence; and possession of property obtained by crime.
Ngoc Dung Dao, 49, of Mississauga is charged with two counts of procuring; two counts of receiving material benefit; and exercising control, direction or influence.
Linda Muonghane, 38, of Mississauga is charged with communicating for the purpose to obtain sexual services and receiving material benefit.
Muonghane-Dao and Dao were held for a bail hearing in Brampton. Muonghane was released with conditions to attend court in August.
