UPDATED 10:30 a.m. with information about the suspect's arrest history.

ST. LOUIS - Ladon T. Grissom, 26, was charged Monday with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, assault and marijuana possession in relation to the shooting deaths of two men Saturday night.

Terrence Snipes, 46, of the 4200 block of John Avenue, and Demetrius Hewlett, 41, of the 2400 block of Hallfer Drive, died about 10 p.m. after being shot at Penrose Street and John Avenue, police said.

Witnesses told police Snipes and Hewlett had just come out of a home and were crossing the street when they were shot. A third man was shot at but not hit.

Grissom, of the 1900 block of Gascony Parc Drive in Lake Saint Louis, was held without bail in the St. Louis Justice Center. Police are also seeking a second suspect.

This is not Grissom's first brush with the court system.

Grissom was acquitted in November 2008 in the fatal shooting of Juan Frazier, 33, of Hazelwood, in July 2006. Frazier was shot in the back of the head at point-blank range as he was standing among a group of men in a parking lot of the Alpha Garden Apartments in the 1100 block of Hodiamont Avenue. Police said the killing was drug-related.

In August 2006, Grissom escaped from an interview room at St. Louis Police Headquarters by breaking a hook that secured one of his handcuffs. Detectives had left him alone in the room. Grissom turned himself in after a 17-hour manhunt.

The detectives faced disciplinary action for leaving Grissom unattended.

The same jury that acquitted Grissom of murder found him guilty of escaping the jail. He was sentenced to four years in prison and was paroled after serving five months.

ST. LOUIS ”¢ Police said a man they were seeking in the shooting death of another man last week turned himself in and has been charged with murder.

Police said Tuesday that they wanted the public's help locating Kenneth Jackson, 29, who they described as a "person of interest" in the death of Dannie Williams on Oct. 25.

Jackson turned himself in Wednesday. Today, he was charged with murder, three counts of armed criminal action and two counts of assault, police said. He was ordered held without bond.

Williams, 47, of University City, was shot and killed about 1 a.m. outside a home in the 8500 block of Drury Lane in St. Louis. Police described Jackson as an acquaintance of the victim and the victim's family.

Family members said Jackson and Williams' stepdaughter, Shantell Harris, had dated and later broken up.

Cynthia Crawford Williams, Williams' widow, said Harris had called the night of the shooting and said Jackson had broken into her home and beaten her up.

Williams went to the home, his widow said. The ex-boyfriend was gone when Williams arrived. But as he stood outside talking to Harris and her new boyfriend, someone fired shots at the group, according to Crawford Williams.

Williams was fatally injured. No one else was hit.

Crawford Williams said her husband died protecting Harris. Today, she said that she wants justice for her husband.

"I don't want the death penalty," she said. "I want him to sit in jail and think about what he has done. I want him to stay there and never come out. Die in jail. My entire family could have perished that night."

Earlier this week, police released a photo of Jackson and said they were seeking him. They said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Jackson had a last known address in the 8000 block of Wayland Court in north St. Louis County.

The prosecutor's office issued new charges against the teenaged suspect, identified as Terron Pool.

genthumb.ashx

Pool accused in the September shooting death of Sumner High School student athlete Rahmel McNeil.

Pool will face first-degree murder charges as an adult.

McNeil, 17, who was gunned down while walking in the 4000 block of West Belle Place on September 24. McNeil, a senior football player at Sumner, was walking with friends when a fight erupted and led to the shooting.

Pool will be facing a life prison term with no chance of probation or parole since his age makes it prohibitive for prosecutors to seek the death penalty against him.

Thanks, Trickno, for finding a link with total number of murders.

However, this total number was short-lived. Just a reminder to everyone, I decided to compile this thread out of ALL shootings in north St. Louis. However, it looks like most if not all the latest shootings happen to be fatal. Many of those cases mention multiple gun wounds. That probably means that the niggers, unable to shoot straight, go for overkill.

Normally, at the end of the year the media publishes the total number of murders in city of St. Louis and breakdown by causes. If they won't chicken out and hide those stats, I plan to post them here as well. Wonder how many of them, total and percentagewise, will be shootings on the north side?

Anyway, here is the latest case:

Demetrius M. Harris, 35, who lived on the 9200 block of Sundown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have no suspect in the case and the investigation is ongoing.

White Sail, it looks like that blog link I posted is keeping a tally on dead niggers in St. Louis. Might be a resource if the official sources do chicken out on posting totals. There is a lot of info at that site, plus the Google maps of the area. The Big Bloody-fitting name, I think.

I wonder if the Army might consider using that area as a live fire training area for guys deploying to Afghanistan?
