PARKVILLE, Md. —
The owner of a Baltimore assisted-living residence is charged with rape and other sex offenses. The disturbing allegations came from a woman who had been under her care.
The abuse is alleged to have happened at an assisted-living facility in the 4500 block of Garden Avenue.
The 67-year-old victim accuses the facility's owner and her caretaker, Dorothy Brown, 72, of sexually assaulting her by taking her to the basement of the home and forcing her to perform sex acts.
In a statement to police, the victim said Brown told her that if she told anyone she would "slap her in the face."
