Wild video shows irate driver attack NYPD traffic police





A shocking video shows an irate driver and his passenger attack NYPD traffic agents in Midtown before taking off from a crash, police said.
The violent encounter happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday near W. 40th St. and 11th Ave. where three traffic agents tried to stop a black Hyundai with Florida license plates from leaving the scene, police said.
The 24-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger both attacked the agents, jumped in the car and took off toward the Lincoln Tunnel, according to police.

The pair were then picked up by Port Authority Police, cops said. Charges remained pending Friday afternoon.
The traffic agents were taken to the hospital for bruises and cuts to their faces and heads, police said.
