The Ontario Superior Court ruled that calling drag queens “groomwers” does not fall under protected speech and “do not constitute expression on a matter of public interest.”

The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has ruled that referring to drag queens as “groomers” does not fall under Canada’s protected speech laws, setting up potential defamation lawsuits against anyone who uses the term.
The ruling comes in the case of Rainbow Alliance Dryden et al v. Webster, where Justice Nieckarz determined that such statements perpetuate harmful stereotypes and do not constitute expression on a matter of public interest.
Justice Nieckarz ruled that “It is reasonable to conclude that the suggestion that … drag performers are ‘groomers’, merely because of their sexual or performance identity, is defamatory.”
The case involves a small-town Pride organization, Rainbow Alliance Dryden (RAD), and a local drag king, who filed a defamation action against Brian Webster, a Thunder Bay Facebook blogger.
Egale Canada, a Trudeau-funded far-left organization, was part of the lawsuit against the defendant who called drag queens groomers.

The Canadian government has come up with an update (some observers call it a re-write) of the Online News Act, C-18, but do the “final touches” to this massively controversial law in fact represent improvement?
The accompanying regulation adopted late last week – to dissuade Google from blocking search engine links in Canada – means that smaller outlets will be left out as most of the money goes towards big legacy, mainstream media.
The twist in this legislative mess occurred late November when Google gave Canada’s government $100 million – to spend on “supporting” news outlets. This was interpreted by those who had supported the bill as a win.
But the next development was Canadian Heritage Minister Pascale St-Onge agreeing to changes to C-18 that the authorities previously for a long time rejected.
And, given the losses already incurred by Facebook and Instagram, Google’s own costs, and other expenditure related to C-18 – what news outlets in Canada can realistically hope to benefit from from the $100 million “donation” is closer to $25 million in “new money.”
It also seems that rather than just a case of a government that overplayed its hand in a game of poker with Big Tech and “big media” – and is now accepting what amounts to, at industry scale, a handout, this is also about the harm the law continues to represent to other media.
Namely – cutting off their revenues from link traffic (and consequently ad money) coming from the likes of Google and Meta’s spawn of giant social media would have been bad.
But now the money the government has been able to obtain from Google, in exchange for essentially backing down from its originally proclaimed ideas, is not that much – so the government backed down on another promise, namely, to keep out of how the new revenues (expected from the original C-18) are distributed.
The authorities will now be directly involved – and the method means that those with less employees will benefit the least – to the point of some small outfits, including ethnic ones which were supposed to be propped up, not benefiting at all, while corporations take most of the money coming in.

Rebel News Mission Specialist David Menzies was arrested after an encounter with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) during a recent attempt to question Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland.
The incident took place at a memorial service commemorating the victims of Flight PS752, which was shot down by the Iranian military four years ago, the Rebel News reported.
Video footage from the scene shows a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer purposely blocking Menzies as he tried to ask Minister Freeland questions.

“Ms. Freeland, how come the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is not a terrorist group? Why is your government supporting Islam?” asked Menzies.
Seconds later, an unnamed police officer suddenly bumped into Menzies, pressed him against a wall, and declared, “You are being arrested for assault.”
The police officer alleged that Menzies had “pushed” him, yet the video tells a different story. It clearly depicts the officer moving into Menzies’ path, suggesting that the officer’s actions were the issue.

“Welcome to [Justin Trudeau]’s Canada,” Menzies said as he was being detained. “This is what they do to journalists. I was merely trying to scrum Minister Freeland and the RCMP officer blocked me, and evidently this is a trumped-up charge of assault, folks. I came here to do my job and now I’m handcuffed.”
Menzies continued to express his disbelief, highlighting the paradoxical situation wherein the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is not designated as a terrorist organization by the Canadian government, yet the same administration arrests a journalist at a vigil for Canadians slain by an Iranian military action.
Despite the arrest, Menzies was not taken to jail. He was held in the police vehicle and later released, according to Rebel News.
Ezra Levant, the founder of Rebel News, has expressed outraged over the incident and stated that legal action would be pursued.
“We’ve got a lawyer on the case right now. We don’t yet know if David will have to post bail or when his first court appearance will be. But we need your help.”
Levant, a former lawyer himself, along with another top lawyer, Guidy Mamann, are adamant about fighting the charge. Levant explained that they were conducting a follow-up report on Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, who was previously caught by Menzies engaging in private hockey games while public arenas were shut down for the community.
The Rebel News team claims they were on public property conducting journalism when police ordered them to cease and leave the area. Levant insists that this is not how democracy operates and that journalists have the right to report from public spaces without undue interference.
“We intend to fight this like hell,” Levant stated, “And to investigate the role of Patrick Brown, the mayor, as to why a whole squad of police cars were dispatched to arrest a peaceful journalist. That doesn’t sound like a police decision. That sounds like a political decision.”
The Rebel News team is calling for support as they prepare to take on the violation of journalistic freedom and a political maneuver designed to stifle their reporting.
Levant concluded with a defiant message, “If Patrick Brown thinks that arresting David will stop us from investigating his misconduct, well, they simply don’t know David as well as I do.”
The incident has sparked a debate about press freedom in Canada.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has passed numerous pieces of legislation prohibiting free speech in Canada, yet nothing has been as restrictive as Bill C-367, an amendment to the Criminal Code that will prohibit Canadians from expressing “an opinion based on a belief in a religious text. If passed, people can be arrested for quoting the Bible on Canadian soil.
Proponents are cloaking this attack on religion under the premise that it will curtail antisemitism. Yet, months ago, Justin Trudeau stood with Zelensky and the Canadian Parliament, celebrating a known Nazi war criminal, and even giving him a standing ovation.

This is precisely what the bill would remove from the Criminal Code of Canada through Private Member’s Bill C-367: Removing Religious Protections For Antisemitic Expression:

3) No person shall be convicted of an offence under subsection (2)
(a) if he establishes that the statements communicated were true;
(b) if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text;
(c) if the statements were relevant to any subject of public interest, the discussion of which was for the public benefit, and if on reasonable grounds he believed them to be true; or
(d) if, in good faith, he intended to point out, for the purpose of removal, matters producing or tending to produce feelings of hatred toward an identifiable group in Canada.

This is an outright attack on religion. There are countless examples throughout history from every area of the globe where religious prosecution led to heinous massacres. Outright bans on religion start off small, removing a provision or two, until the government deems entire groups of people a danger to society.
I discussed the case of Pastor Artur Pawlowski who was arrested for speaking out against the Canadian government, in particular their COVID era restrictions on medical autonomy. Pawlowski was charged with criminal mischief for preaching from the Bible to the Trucker Convoy. He did not commit a violent offense nor did he say anything “hateful,” but the words from the Bible are now deemed as offensive similar to how the government is labeling words like “mother” or “father” unacceptable.
Religion demands that followers believe in a higher power greater than the almighty government. Statistics Canada reported that only 68% of Canadians identify as religious, with a notable decrease among the Christian community in particular. The same organization believes that non-Christian religious affiliation will double by 2036. An Angus Reid survey from April 2022 showed that religious tolerance in Canada is at an all-time low, with 22% of respondents saying all religion is harmful to society.
This legislation will prohibit Christians, Muslims, and others from freely expressing their opinions. They speak of banning antisemitism, but the law will also target Jews. Anyone expressing an opinion “relevant to any subject of public interest” based on a religious text will be considered a criminal, a danger to the new world order. For example, if someone says they are against MAID, child transgenderism, abortion, or anything that is not deemed acceptable by the Abrahamic religions, they will be accused of promoting hate speech and prosecuted for their religious beliefs.

Karl Marx deemed religion the “opium of the masses” that was intended to give false hope to the impoverished who should fill their hearts with hatred and entitlement. “The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions,” Marx continued.

Canada rolling out social credit system, citizens’ bank accounts linked to obedience scores

Our neighbors to the north are implementing a new system called "open banking" that will link citizen's bank accounts to a new social credit scoring system.

In the aftermath of the Trucker Convoy and other noteworthy protests against Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) "pandemic" tyranny in Canada, the Justin Trudeau regime is radicalizing the nation's banking system to make it much harder for citizens to express their voices against political corruption.

Proponents of the social credit score-linked banking paradigm say it will make Canadian banks more "inclusive," allowing them to easily access user data on demand while being able to share information with one another.

A World Bank partner called Open Banking Excellence (OBE), which originated in the United Kingdom, is proudly boasting right now that it will incorporate social credit scores with people's banking information in Canada. Canadians will likely receive digital "cash" and identification in a "convenient," all-in-one and "inclusive" place.

"It's about having that fairer, more inclusive, more open society," said OBE founder Helen Child, making sure to use all the popular buzzwords to make her project sound like a dream come true for the world.

Moving towards a cashless society

Disturbingly, OBE already operates in some 40 different countries, claiming that it aims to "create exceptional platforms and content that promotes knowledge sharing, new thinking and partnerships within the industry – catalyzing the adoption of Open Finance and Data for better financial inclusion worldwide."

Child's use of the term "open society" is also disturbing in that this is the ideology championed by international billionaire agitator George Soros. It implies open borders, no more prisons, and out-of-control crime without punishment, all of this substantiating "progressive" changes for the world.

How forcing Canadians and others around the world to maintain high social credit scores in order to buy and sell constitutes "inclusivity" and "fairness" remains unknown. OBE officials and other proponents of the construct never really say.

"It drives financial inclusion," is all Child will say about the scheme. "It's democratizing data."

What we can clearly see from all this is that Child has her eyes on all the gold her data collection scheme will add to her financial stockpile. Data of the kind her group collects in order to populate social credit scores is valuable, after all, especially as the world descends into a cashless abyss.

"There is no easier way to control the masses than to control their access to money, and their ability to buy, trade and freely move about," warns Slay News.

The Canadian Press came right out and just said what Child is clearly thinking, explaining that one of the biggest areas of growth in the financial sector has to do with credit assessments.

"Under open banking, lenders could directly access an individual's banking data, so they can look beyond credit scores," the Press explained. "Consumers can also use it to build their credit scores, for example, by proving reliable rent payments."

In other words, the goal is to assess something beyond just one's credit score in order to determine whether he or she is worthy to participate in the new global economy that the globalists are unleashing.

Keep in mind that Canada is big on prosecuting "hate" speech. One can only imagine how people found guilty of committing "hateful" anything will be dinged on their social credit scores, disallowing their participation in anything commerce and finance related.

It happened during the Trucker Convoy and it will happen, complements of OBE and its "inclusive" financial schemes.

In a major push to seize control of the public’s financial freedom, Canada is radicalizing its banking system by linking citizens’ bank accounts to a tyrannical social credit score.
The Canadian banking system will soon be transformed by a so-called “open banking” framework.
Proponents are framing this as a more “inclusive” way for banks to easily share information and access user data.
However, the move will merge social standings with banking to provide governments and unelected bureaucrats with complete control over our finances.
The organization Open Banking Excellence (OBE), a World Bank partner that originated in the UK, boasts that it will incorporate social credit scores and bank information, and likely digital cash and IDs, in one “convenient” and “inclusive” place.
OBE, which has reached 40 countries, aims to “create exceptional platforms and content that promotes knowledge sharing, new thinking and partnerships within the industry – catalyzing the adoption of Open Finance and Data for better financial inclusion worldwide.”
“It’s about having that fairer, more inclusive, more open society,” said Helen Child, founder of Open Banking Excellence.
Of course, “Open Society” is an ideology championed by radical billionaire George Soros which involves open borders, no prisons, and rampant crime, among other “progressive” ideas.
However, the need for inclusivity and fairness in banking is not explained, despite being repeatedly pushed by proponents of the plan.
“It drives financial inclusion,” Child claims of the scheme.
“It’s democratizing data.”
What Child failed to mention is that data will be worth more than gold as we move forward with a cashless society.
There is no easier way to control the masses than to control their access to money, and their ability to buy, trade, and freely move about.
The Canadian Press outlined the true motive in plain sight:
“One of the biggest areas of growth is in credit assessments.
“Under open banking, lenders could directly access an individual’s banking data, so they can look beyond credit scores.
“Consumers can also use it to build their credit scores, for example, by proving reliable rent payments.”
Looking beyond credit scores equates to determining if a person is fit to participate in the global economy based on their personal views.
As Canada continues to crack down on so-called “hate,” the next step will inevitably be to block citizens from accessing their money if they’re suspected of wrongthink.
The Canadian government already tested these plans by shutting down the bank accounts of the Freedom Convoy protesters in 2022.
British populist politician Nigel Farage has also been a victim of the debanking agenda.
Farage never committed a crime or did anything to warrant what many have called the “Farage fiasco.”
He was suddenly debanked by Coutts and was unable to access any of his checking or savings accounts.
His credit cards were deactivated.
He was unable to participate in society without a moment’s notice.
Farage did his due diligence and found that countless people had experienced the same financial attack carried out by the banks on behalf of the government.
This is a widespread phenomenon.
We saw it happening commonly during Covid lockdowns, where users were not permitted to access places if their digital Covid passports failed.
In China, when banks were facing a liquidity crisis, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) simply denied depositors the right to access their money.
Citizens were blocked from physically accessing their banks.
The government successfully prevented a bank run by intervening.
We saw a few celebrities debanked from the system for voicing unpopular opinions without any legal proceedings or crimes committed.
However, Canada is one of many nations hoping to use unofficial social credit scores to control the masses.
All of these actions are setting the stage for how Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) will operate.
Once CBDCs are rolled out for public use, the system will be a collective network containing everyone’s personal data, digital ID, social credit score, vaccination status, and money.
Governments have already begun debanking individuals.
These latest steps will make it increasingly easier to force the masses to bow down and relinquish all control to the globalist elite.
