School Bus Driver Attacked
December 11, 2004 --A school bus driver is recovering after being beaten unconscious in South Philadelphia.
Investigators say the 56-year-old driver was transporting students from an alternative disciplinary school.
Two students allegedly beat him at 15th and Reed Streets so they could steal his umbrella.
He is in stable condition at Jefferson Hospital. The students, ages 15 and 16, were arrested but have yet to be charged.
