Reward offered in alleged hate crime

DAVIS - A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in an alleged hate crime in Davis.
At 9:45 p.m. March 9, three white males on bicycles discharged a fire extinguisher near the University Shell station on Richards Boulevard and Olive Drive. Then one of the men approached a Middle Eastern man who was pumping gas and allegedly made the comment: "It looks like the terrorists are at it again." A short time later, the man suspected of making the comment pointed a handgun at the victim and made threatening remarks, police said.

The suspect is described as about 30 years old or younger with short blond hair. He wore blue denim shor
s and a green button-down shirt.
