DEARBORN, Mich. -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of snatching a woman's purse in the parking lot of a hotel in Dearborn.
Dearborn police said the 26-year-old woman was unloading her car at the Ritz-Carlton when the man grabbed her and pushed her into the trunk.
Police said the woman fought back against the man but he took off with her purse.
"In his sick mind, the greatest solution to not be detected, was to shove the lady into the trunk," said Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad.
Police said the woman received minor injuries.
Police said the woman's stolen credit cards were used a short
time later at several places in Detroit. Police said store cameras have the man on tape.
Police describe the thief as a black man :watermelon: in his late 20s, medium build with short hair or a shaved head.
