Woodbine Man Accused Of Beating Wife, Killing Dog
KINGSLAND, Ga. -- A Woodbine man was arrested Sunday after allegedly beating his wife and killing the family dog.
Camden County deputies responded to a home on West 9th Street after receiving a 911 hangup call.
According to the arrest report Louis Painter Sr., 56, approached arriving deputies, saying "Take me to jail now."
Witnesses told investigators that Painter beat his wife while his son tried to stop him.
Painter is also accused killing a dog with a butcher knife.
Painter was charged with family violence battery, cruelty to children
and cruelty to animals. He was booked into the Camden County jail.
