An NYPD officer was arrested this week for allegedly raping his live-in girlfriend last month, authorities said Tuesday morning.
Officer Gilberto Salazar-Giraldo, 27, was busted around 9:30 p.m. Monday amid an Internal Affairs investigation into the Sept. 7 rape of his 24-year-old girlfriend, police said.
He was arrested and charged with rape in the confines of the 102nd Precinct, which covers parts of central Queens, cops said. Police did not provide the location where the alleged rape took place.
Salazar-Giraldo, who worked for the NYPD’s Military and Extended Leave Desk, was suspended without pay, cops said.
