Two people were stabbed and at least two others shot overnight in New York City, police said.
The stabbings happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday as a large crowd gathered outside 1348 Webster Ave in the Bronx, said cops, who added those in the group appeared to be drunk
A 31-year-old man was knifed in the chest and back, and another man, 46, was cut in the chest and lower abdomen, police said. No arrests have been made.
Hours earlier, police responded to reports of a shooting inside the fifth-floor hallway at the New York City Housing Authority’s Linden Houses in Brooklyn.
An NYPD spokeswoman said the victim, who was shot once in the right ankle just after 7 p.m., was “highly uncooperative.”
Cops later reported shots fired at 10-89 Cypress Ave. in Ridgewood, after an argument.
The 4:04 a.m. shooting outside Lugo’s Lounge left a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right leg, police said. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

Felony assaults on the New York City transit system spiked more than 50 percent between February and March — reaching the highest total since the NYPD began increasing subway patrols 11 months ago, new data shows.
Despite the troubling increase in assaults, subway crime overall was flat last month compared to February, according to NYPD data released Friday.
There were 180 felony crimes recorded on the subways in March — down two from February. But the number of felony assaults jumped from 41 in February to 62 in March, according to the new stats.
The figure reflects the highest number of felony assaults since last May, when a string of high profile crimes spurred then-Mayor Bill de Blasio — at the urging of the MTA — to increase the number of police patrols in the subway system.
May 2021 saw 65 felony assaults — including a vicious string of slashings committed by a single assailant in a 35-minute span on May 14.
Three days later, on May 17, de Blasio relented to weeks of pressure from the state-run MTA and agreed to add 125 extra cops to the morning and evening rush hours.

Assaults dropped significantly the next month, and had remained stable until now.
De Blasio’s successor, Mayor Eric Adams, has continued to increase the number of cops underground in response to high profile crimes — most recently after the mass shooting in Brooklyn this month that left 10 people with gunshot wounds and another 19 injured.
The NYPD’s reported subway crime rates have remained stubbornly above pre-pandemic figures when adjusted for ridership, which currently stands at around 55 percent of what it was in 2019.

The number of felony crimes per million riders was just over two in March, a 13 percent drop compared to February but well above the 1.47 crimes per million riders reported in 2019.
Just 2.8 million people rode the subway last Thursday, according to MTA figures — 54.6 percent compared to a similar pre-pandemic day.
In March, subway riders faced everything from stabbings and slashings to hammer attacks and sexual assaults.

One victim of a brutal hammer attack at 14th Street-7th Ave. station told The Post that they’d had it with out-of-control subway crime.
“We’re trying to live our lives as well as we can, you know, and it’s just unfortunate that we have to face all these adversities, along with just all the struggles in life,” the 29-year old victim said shortly after surviving the attack.
“It’s hard because if we have to be afraid or just be constantly aware, be afraid of anyone who is passing by you and just, you know, who knows what they have, it’s not really a way to live.”

At least two people were stabbed, another was shot — and bullets flew in Hell’s Kitchen — in the city overnight, cops said.
The violence began around 6:50 p.m. Monday, when a male attacker repeatedly stabbed a 60-year-old man in the torso and slashed him in the face during a squabble on Second Avenue near East 48th Street in Midtown, Manhattan, authorities said.
Witnesses told police that the victim was sitting on the sidewalk and threw a bottle on the ground in front of the suspect, sparking the dispute, according to police sources.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect, who was with a woman at the time, fled north on Second Avenue.
Another man, 38, was stabbed during a large fight at Atlantic Avenue and 88th Street in the Woodhaven section of Queens around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.

In the Mott Haven section of The Bronx, a teen was shot on East 143rd Street near Willis Avenue around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, police added.
Two males walked up to the 18-year-old victim as he stood at the corner, and one of them opened fire with a handgun, cops said.
He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
About a half-hour later, someone opened fire from a burgundy SUV at West 45th Street and Eighth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan, but no one was hurt, police said.
The shooter discharged several rounds, cops said. It is unclear if there was any property damage.

Police did not immediately know whether the shooter was targeting someone.

Two men were injured in separate shootings just hours apart in Harlem on Tuesday, police and sources said.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the left leg following an argument with a suspect in front of the Martin Luther King Jr. Towers on 70 Lenox Avenue around 3:30 p.m., police and sources said.
The victim walked into Harlem Hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.
Two hours later, another man, 46, checked himself into the same hospital with a gunshot wound in his right leg, according to the NYPD.
The second victim had been shot in front of 102 West 144th Street, officials said.
No arrests were made in either shooting by late Tuesday.

The NYPD is putting more cops on patrol at night when nearly half of the gun violence occurs as part of the first phase of its summer violence prevention plan, a department official said.
“We are surging a lot more manpower,” Chief of Department Ken Corey said in a briefing Friday evening.
“All this is in addition [to the prior added patrols], we are not taking anything away,” he added.
The move comes ahead of Mayor Adams’ meeting with police precinct commanders on Saturday to discuss the surge in crime ahead of the historically bloody summer months.
As part of the new strategy starting Monday, the department is:

• Moving all of the 350 Neighborhood Coordinating Officers onto evening shifts on patrol.
• Having field intelligence officers on the streets to be the department’s “extra eyes and ears.”
• Designating an inspector in each borough, two in the Bronx, to coordinate and deploy police resources to where the violence is happening or police intelligence believes it will happen
• Assigning a cop to enforce traffic violations, such as unregistered cars or having bogus plates.
• Having the three cars on the midnight shift start, three hours early to cover the shift change.

“That time of night when we are most thin, we are going to have a lot of coverage out there that we don’t normally have. Nearly half our shootings are happening between that five-hour window [of 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.,” Corey said.
The summer plan — dubbed “Summer 40” — will prioritize resources for the patrol boroughs where crime has been the worst by trying to keep the cops who know the areas in their commands instead of pulling for beach patrol or parades.
“Those are the highest crime areas we wanted to leave as many officers there as possible,” Corey said.

The annual summer shifts at New York City beaches will instead be staffed by cops who are working behind a desk, “rather than pull officers from busy precincts,” the chief added.
The NYPD will also be partnering with the New York State Police to set up vehicle checkpoints in high-violence areas.
Corey says he believes that will help stop violence before it starts because “people who going out shooting aren’t caring about following traffic rules.”

Additionally, the department is working with other city agencies to crack down on street crowds as well as code violations at nightclubs and other places where gun violence has broken out.
“By tightening up some of the enforcement and inspection there we can prevent things before they happen,” Corey said.

A man was stabbed multiple times in Brooklyn, police said.
The victim was found on his couch in his apartment at 557 East 21st St., after someone called cops for help late Friday.
The unidentified victim was taken to Kings County Hospital. His condition is unknown, the NYPD said.
No one was arrested but an eyewitness told The Post a bloodied woman was seen giving cops directions to the apartment where the stabbing victim was found.
“A man was dragged out of that apartment and put into a squad car,” the witness said. “They both seemed as if they were under the influence of probably drugs — looked spaced out.”
Another stabbing occurred around 3:15 a.m. Saturday near a hot dog stand in Times Square, police said. Two men were arguing when one of them stabbed the other. The unidentified victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital. His condition is unknown, police said.

The NYPD will begin deploying more night patrols Monday to help stem gun crime – part of the first phase of Mayor Eric Adams’ summer-violence-prevention plan – as at least eight people were shot across the city Sunday alone.
The additional patrols are meant to boost the department’s law-enforcement coverage between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., when “nearly half our shootings are happening,” NYPD Chief of Department Ken Corey said Friday.
The new strategy partly involves moving all of the department’s 350 Neighborhood Coordination Officers onto evening shifts with patrol, Corey said.
The increased patrols are starting the day after eight people were shot in seven separate incidents Sunday, police said.

“We’re not going to have a city of disorder,” Adams said Monday at an unrelated press conference in East New York, Brooklyn, referring to the beefed-up night patrols.


Adams had met with all 77 NYPD precinct commanders and other top brass Saturday to discuss ways to stem violence ahead of the historically bloody summer months.


Hizzoner, a retired NYPD captain, emphasized the need for police to be more involved with the public and local communities, saying commanders should know the school principals and those in charge of homeless services or other agencies in their areas, according to sources at the meeting.

“We’re really zeroing in, going after gangs, which are the drivers of our shootings, going after those hot spots,” Adams told reporters Monday. “My meeting on Saturday with my commanders and hearing from them, it was an extremely revealing meeting on what needed to be done on the ground.


“And what we have historically done is we have tied public safety only to policing. We’re going to engage every agency in our city to be part of our public-safety fight. And what we did Saturday with our commanders, we’re doing it with all of our agencies. And so our precinct commanders and officers are now going to have a clear understanding of what is expected of them.”


Sunday’s shooting victims included Ronald Thomas, 27, of Virginia, who was fatally shot in the head as he sat in a white Mercedes on the Upper West Side, cops said.

The gunfire rang out during an argument around 12:15 p.m. at 101st Street and Amsterdam Avenue — one block from the NYPD’s 24th precinct, according to cops.


Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene, and the shooter fled. The motive for the shooting is unclear, and no arrests had been made by Monday.


On Sunday’s date last year, which was a Saturday, seven people were shot in five incidents.


The NYPD’s boosted nighttime patrols also come two days after a hard-working Chinese food deliveryman was shot and killed while on the clock in Forest Hills, Queens, on Saturday, cops said.

Cops are probing whether the gunman is a disgruntled customer who had “multiple disputes” with the restaurant over his orders, law enforcement sources have told The Post.


Only one other shooting was reported in the city Saturday – marking a decrease in gun violence from that same day in 2021, when five people were gunned down in as many incidents, cops said.


Two people were also shot Friday – down from the same day last year, when nine people were shot in eight incidents.

As of Sunday, 470 people had been shot in 402 incidents across the city so far this year, compared to 450 people in 405 incidents at this time in 2021, according to the NYPD.


Adams’ summer plan — dubbed “Summer 40” — will prioritize resources for the patrol boroughs where crime has been the worst by trying to keep the cops who know the areas in their commands instead of pulling for beach patrol or parades, authorities said.

A man who was executed in broad daylight on the Upper West Side over the weekend was a Virginia resident in the city visiting his cousin, cops said Monday.
Victim Ronald Thomas, 27, was sitting in a white Mercedes Benz GLA 250 and arguing with a woman just before a gunman rolled up in another vehicle around 12:15 p.m. Sunday and fatally shot him in the head, cops said.
The shooting occurred near the Frederick Douglass Houses on West 102 Street at Amsterdam Avenue — about a block from the NYPD’s 24 Precinct station house.

Big Apple gun violence fell last month compared to April 2021, although the number of shootings was still nearly double pre-pandemic levels — and overall city crime continues to surge, NYPD data shows.
Major crimes were up 34.2% overall, fueled by jumps in felony assaults, robberies, burglaries and thefts, according to the April crime statistics.
The Big Apple logged nearly 400 more robberies, felony assaults and burglaries —or 41.5%, 20.9% and 39.4% increases, respectively — last month compared to April 2021, according to the data.
Nearly 1,200 more major thefts were reported, too, a 43.5% jump, and roughly 200 more cars were stolen, an uptick of 26.8%, the data shows.
Shootings did tick down by almost 30% — or 105 last month vs. 148 in April 2021. But last month’s incidents of gun violence remained nearly double the same period in 2019, NYPD data shows.
City and police officials have made shootings a priority in terms of crime-fighting — with the NYPD launching special anti-gun teams about two months ago and roving extra nightly patrols this week to combat the scourge.
While gun violence fell, it still remains almost twice as high as the pre-pandemic levels. DCPI
Meanwhile, murders were down by 38% last month compared to April 2021 — or 31 vs. 50 — and rape complaints saw a slight decrease, according to the data.
Overall, major crime for last month compared to April two years ago was up by 37.3%.
The latest statistics were announced Tuesday evening in a press release, as the NYPD breaks with the prior administration’s longstanding monthly press conferences to answer questions about the crime trends.

Instead, police officials will hold briefings on crime on a quarterly basis, according to a rep.
Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said in the release that the department is “making noticeable headway” through its increased patrols and Neighborhood Safety Teams and touted the NYPD’s return to “Broken Windows” policies, which focus on lower-level quality of life offenses, such as littering and fare evasion.

A 27-year-old man was killed and four others hurt in at least four shootings across the city overnight, police said.
Gunfire erupted outside the Apple store on 59th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday. Cops were on the scene. No details were immediately available.
Hours earlier, a 27-year-old man died after he was shot in the head inside Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx, police said. Cops responding to a 911 call of a shooting at around 2 a.m. found the victim inside the park at the corner of East 161st Street and Grand Concourse, authorities said.
He was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital. There have been no arrests.
Around 3 a.m., also in the Bronx, a 35-year-old man was shot in the right leg and a 21-year-old was shot in the right arm during a dispute on East 176th Street and Webster Avenue in Tremont, cops said.
Police are looking for a man in his 30s, wearing dark clothing, who ran from the scene following the shooting. The victims went to St. Barnabas Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

In Brooklyn, two teens were wounded Friday during a beef in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said.
Cops said a teen gunman wearing a red sweatshirt shot a 16-year-old in the right hand and a 15-year-old in the left ankle on Park Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard at 10:25 p.m. The 16-year-old victim was taken to Maimonides Hospital and the 15-year-old went to Cornell Hospital, both with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said. There are no arrests.

New York City car thieves have shifted into high gear, with auto thefts soaring 61% so far this year, according to the latest disturbing statistics.
There have been 4,467 car thefts so far in 2022, as compared to 2,769 in the same time period in 2021. The crime category has jumped a whopping 97 percent compared to 2020, NYPD data show.
The Ford Econoline is the preferred vehicle of the sticky-fingered set, followed by the Honda Accord, Honda CRV, Honda Civic and Toyota Camry, according to the NYPD.
Bronx motorists have been hit the hardest: 1,437 vehicles have been boosted so far this year in the borough, the most in the city, and a 70% spike from the same time last year, when 845 cars were stolen, the stats show.
In Brooklyn 1,183 vehicles have been ripped off in 2022, compared to 806 in 2021, a 47% surge.

Auto larceny in Queens is up 63% in 2022, with 1,107 incidents to 678 the year prior, and has jumped 62 percent in Manhattan, which saw 604 thefts to 2021’s 373 incidents, the data shows.
Even Staten Island, the so-called “cop borough,” isn’t safe. While The Rock has logged the fewest car thefts in the city this year which 136, that number is deceiving — it’s an 103 percent increase from the 67 vehicles snatched last year.
The Island “has become a hot spot for car-theft crews — some of which operate out of New Jersey — to snatch luxury vehicles and ship them overseas within hours,” the Staten Island Advance reported following a sitdown with the borough’s top cop.

Catalytic converters, part of a car’s exhaust system, break down some of the smog that would otherwise come out the tailpipe.
They also include rare metals like rhodium, palladium and platinum, which trade for four and five figures per ounce on the black market. Converters typically include 3 to 7 grams of these precious metals, experts said.
The NYPD has blamed the state’s bail reform overhaul in part, for the spike. The law, which kicked in Jan. 1, 2020, prohibits pretrial detention in most misdemeanors and some nonviolent felonies.

“We used to call a desk appearance ticket a disappearance ticket,” said Joseph Giacalone, an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a former NYPD sergeant. “Deterrence matters in reducing crime and right now there is none — it’s that simple.”
Cops say cocky criminals who use the stolen rides to get around, and careless drivers, have fueled the surge.

To that, the NYPD said “key thefts,” where a key is present in vehicle or the vehicle is already running, are up 57 percent citywide this year, with 1,993 incidents compared to 1,268 in 2021.
Motorcycle thefts have also zoomed 35 percent this year: 603 thefts in 2022 from last year’s 446.

At least eight people were shot – two fatally – during a bloody night across the Big Apple, cops said.
Brandon Atkinson, 39, was shot in the head at the corner of Avenue D and East Third Street in Alphabet City around 11:20 p.m. Sunday, cops said.
Atkinson, of the Bronx, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests were immediately made, and police did not know the circumstances leading up to the slaying Monday morning.
Earlier in the evening, Gabriel Ramirez Gomez, 27, was gunned down at Rogers Place and Dawson Street near Bill Rainey Park in the Bronx, according to police.
Ramirez Gomez was involved in a dispute during a baseball game at the nearby park when authorities believe he first fired a shot.
When he fled the scene on a moped, multiple shots rang out and he was struck in the chest around 7:45 p.m., cops said.

He was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A 43-year-old woman who was sitting on a bench nearby and not involved in the dispute was grazed in the right leg, cops said.
She was taken to the same hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Hours later, a 24-year-old man was shot as he got out of his car near a deli at West 47th Street and 10th Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen around 5 a.m. Monday, authorities said.
He then drove himself to Mount Sinai West, where he was initially listed in critical condition, but his condition stabilized after surgery, cops said.
Just after 4 a.m., a man was shot in the thumb on West 207th Street near Broadway in Inwood, authorities said. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment.

In Queens, a 47-year-old man was blasted in the arm as he took the garbage out on George Street near Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood around 2:30 a.m., police said.
He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
Police did not immediately know whether he was the intended target.

Around 12:15 a.m., a 43-year-old man was shot in the arm and a 19-year-old man struck in the leg on Cherry Street near Pike Slip on the Lower East Side, cops said.
The suspects got out of a car and fired into a crowd, striking the pair, police said.
Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they are listed in stable condition.

In total, 15 people were shot across the city over the weekend – four people in three incidents on Friday; six people in five shootings on Saturday; and five people in four Sunday shootings, police said.

A 46-year-old man was shot dead in Harlem and another man was wounded in the Bronx during shootings across New York City overnight.
The deadly incident took place at about 11:50 p.m. Friday in front of 2949 Frederick Douglas Blvd., near West 155th Street, police said.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the “unconscious, unresponsive” victim shot in the torso and leg, authorities said.
EMS transported the man to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said. There are no arrests.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a 29-year-old man was shot in the neck and right thigh following a beef with an unknown gunman in front of 2407 Westchester Ave., near Zerega Avenue in the Bronx, police said.

Bullets flew in the Big Apple between Saturday night and Sunday with at least eight shootings in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn that left two men dead — and a 17-year-old girl shot in the face, according to the NYPD.
An 18-year-old man was shot twice in the head and killed around 11 p.m. Saturday on Avenue W and Batchelder Street in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. He was rushed to Coney Island Hospital but didn’t survive, cops said.
A few hours later, a 32-year-old man was shot in the torso around 3 a.m. Sunday at 23 New Lots Avenue also in Brooklyn, police said. He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
There were no immediate arrests in either shootings and the identities of the victims was pending family notification.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old girl was shot in the face at a Bronx party around 1 a.m., cops said.

The girl was at 500 Trinity Avenue when a person fired into the crowd. The bullet went in through her right temple and came out her left nostril, cops said.
She was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, cops said. There were no immediate arrests.
“She’s lucky,” a police source said. “That could have been a lot worse.”

The night’s gunfire started around 5 p.m. at 2829 Central Avenue in the Bronx when a 37-year-old man was shot during a robbery.
The gunman took the victim’s jewelry and then shot him twice in the right leg, cops said. There was no immediate arrest.
Other shootings in the Bronx included a 20-year-old who was shot in the right leg around 10 p.m. at East 188th Street and Marion Avenue and a 31-year-old who was shot in the left arm by an unknown shooter around 11:20 p.m. at East 194th Street and Marion Avenue, cops said.

A 32-year-old man was shot in the left leg just before 11 p.m. at 1773 Vyse Avenue, also in the Bronx. He was expected to survive but was uncooperative, cops said.
A man shot himself in the subway system in Harlem, cops said.
The man was found with a gunshot wound on the No. 2 and 3 subway line at 116th Street and Lenox Avenue around 3 a.m., cops said. Police found a gun and determined that the man shot himself. He was in stable condition.

While the weekend shootings piled up, the NYPD said there were more victims on the same dates in 2021.
There were 11 shooting victims over the same two-day span last year, which was a Thursday and Friday, compared to 10 this weekend, according to cops.
There have been 557 people shot so far this year compared to 579 in the same period in 2021, police said.

Four men were killed in separate shootings that broke out over a bloody six-hour period across the Big Apple, cops said.
Most recently, a 37-year-old man was blasted in the torso at 221st Street and 94th Drive in Queens Village around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.
He was rushed to North Shore University Hospital-Manhasset, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made, and the circumstances remained unclear in the morning.
About three hours earlier, Tristan Templeman, 22, was fatally shot in the head inside his home on Montauk Avenue near Hegeman Avenue in East New York around 7:15 p.m., cops said.
Cops found Templeton when they responded to a 911 call from a neighbor, police said.

He was pronounced dead on scene.
No arrests have been made, and police were still investigating what led up to the shooting Thursday.
Minutes before 7 p.m., cops were responding to a 911 call on Clarkson Avenue near Utica Avenue in Flatbush when they discovered a 22-year-old man outside an apartment building with a gunshot wound to his stomach, authorities said.

The man was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
The investigation led cops into the building, where they discovered a 38-year-old man, shot multiple times in the torso, cops said. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Cops say the gunman may have at some point barricaded himself inside the apartment with the fatal victim, but as of early Thursday, he was on the loose.

No additional details were immediately known.
Hours earlier, around 4 p.m., Rasard Deas, 22, was blasted in the chest outside the First Cook Chinese restaurant at Stillwell Avenue and Avenue W in Gravesend, authorities said.
He was rushed to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made in connection to the broad-daylight violence, and the motive for the slaying remained unclear Thursday morning.

Several hours later, at 10:40 a.m., another man died after being struck by gunfire at 301 Sutter Avenue in Brownsville’s Langston Hughes Apartments, cops said. No further details were immediately available.
There were no immediate arrests in either homicide.

At least four people were shot across the city overnight, authorities said.
A man in his 30s was standing at the corner of Sutphin Boulevard and Ferndale Avenue in Jamaica around 3 a.m. Memorial Day when he was blasted in the leg, cops said.
He was taken to Jamaica Hospital by private means, with non-life-threatening injuries, and simply reported hearing shots and feeling pain, police said.
In Brooklyn, a 33-year-old man was blasted in the left foot on Sackman Street near Belmont Avenue, on the grounds of NYCHA’s Seth Low Houses in Brownsville around 1:50 a.m., authorities said.
He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
Back in Jamaica, 10 minutes earlier, a 31-year-old man was shot in the chest during a dispute on Jamaica Avenue near Eldert Lane in Jamaica, cops said.
He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, a man wearing blue jeans and a red sweater, fled in a dark-colored SUV, authorities said.

Late Sunday, a 52-year-old man was shot in the elbow and left thigh on Madison Avenue near East 105th Street in East Harlem shortly before midnight, authorities said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.
The circumstances leading up to that shooting are unclear.

A 29-year-old man was fatally shot in the head on a Brooklyn street early Tuesday, authorities said.
The victim was struck around 1:40 a.m. near the corner of Marcy and Lexington avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said.
He was rushed to the Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The motive for the slaying remained unclear later in the morning.
The victim’s name has not been released, pending family notification.
About an hour later, a 21-year-old man was blasted in the torso at the corner of Atlantic and Autumn avenues in Cypress Hills, authorities said.

Three people were shot and a man was attacked with a wrench on the subway in the final hours of Memorial Day weekend in New York City.
A teenager walked into Harlem Hospital with a gunshot wound to his midsection at around 8:15 p.m., police said.
The 19-year-old man told officials he heard shots and felt pain, but was “uncooperative” with the investigation, according to the NYPD.
Five minutes later, a 21-year-old man was shot in his knee in the Woodstock section of the Bronx. The shooter fled the scene outside 908 Tiffany Place, officials said.
Sometime after 11 p.m., a woman was shot in the arm at 107-34 128th Street in South Richmond Hills, Queens, according to police and sources.
An 8:30 p.m. fight between two D Train passengers ended when one man hit the other with a wrench, authorities said.
The suspect fled and the victim was being treated for a hand laceration at Bronx Care Hospital.
The violence in the boroughs came as more than 30 people were killed by guns in the US over the holiday weekend — including at least 13 in Philadelphia and six in Chicago.
In addition, there has been a disturbing trend of violence on the city subways.
A Goldman Sachs employee was shot down while heading to brunch on a Q Train in Manhattan earlier this month.
According to police, the incident is the fourth transit homicide this year, matching the same number this time last year.
