Man injured in shooting over a CD player
A dispute over a CD player led to a shooting that wounded one man Tuesday afternoon on Houston Avenue, police said.
Servantaze Fuller, 20, was hit in the upper torso while sitting in front of an apartment at Pendleton Homes, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
Fuller, who suffered three bullet wounds, underwent surgery at The Medical Center of Central Georgia and is expected to recover, said Macon police detective K.A. Callum.
Several men were sitting outside the building when a man known as "Lil Thump" arrived and started shooting at about 3:30 p.m., police said in the release.
Police identifie
d the gunman as Christopher Mathis, 21, Callum said.
He's described as
a clean-shaven black man who is bald or has short hair, is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He was wearing red clothing during the shooting, according to the release.
Anyone with information is asked to call Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at 742-2330 or (877) 68-CRIME. Callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for up to $1,000 in reward money.
