Sex Offender Caught After Profile Aired

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A fugitive sex offender was back behind bars thanks to KCTV5 viewers.
Just hours after KCTV5 News profiled 54-year-old Larry Harvey as the Sex Offender of the Week on Sunday, police arrested him.
Prosecutors had been after Harvey since he blew off a court date on 21 sex counts in 2004.
They claim he molested three little girls, all younger than twelve-years-old.
A viewer called the Tips Hotline and directed police to a hospital where they made the arrest.
Jeff Carter, Harvey's former Neighbor, told KCTV5 News, "It's still a shock. You see your neighbor and you got kids around here. Nobody ever wants

to see that."
Harvey was behind bars at the Jackson County jail on $250,000 dollars bond.
