Police Make Arrest In FSU Killing

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in the death of a young woman from Sunrise whose body was found on the Florida State University campus.
A friend found the body of 22-year-old Chaka Baldwin on May 4 in Baldwin's second floor apartment on Wadsworth Street in Tallahassee.
Steven Thomas, 22, turned himself into the Broward Sheriff's Office for a drug charge parole violation on Wednesday. Detectives said that Thomas and Baldwin had dated and had a history of
domestic violence. Investigators said that Baldwin's car, missing after her death, was found near Thomas's home in Pompano Beach.

n, detectives from Tallahassee flew to Broward County to question him. After interviewing Thomas, they arrested him. He is charged in Baldwin's death.
The official cause of Baldwin's death has not been released, but police have said that she "bled to death."
Thomas will be extradited to Tallahassee to face murder charges.
Detectives said they have no motive yet for Baldwin's murder.
