Police Arrest Rape Suspect

A possible serial rapist is in the Marion County jail.
Police are not releasing Thomas Jackson's picture because the sheriff's department says it could sway other potential victims when they look at line-ups.
Investigators suspect Jackson targeted elderly white women on the east side and they believe he is linked to other rapes. They arrested the 34-year-old this week at his mother's house. Police went there after a 66-year-old woman claimed he attacked her last September in her home.
Captain Phil Burton said the victim let her dog outside, then went back to sit on her couch. She did not lock her sliding glass door. A man armed with a knife came in, told her to go to the bedroom and raped her.
