Suspect sought in two rapes

(LOUISVILLE) -- Metro police are investigating after two 12-year-old girls were raped over the weekend.
According to police, one 12-year-old victim told them 26-year-old David Fitch forced her to take the drug Ecstasy before the attack at the Holiday Inn on Fern Valley Road.
"According to our preliminary investigation, she met this guy at the swimming pool there at the hotel," said Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell. "They exchanged pleasantries, so she wasn't a complete stranger."
Mitchell said Fitch then grabbed the victim as she was walking down the hall, forced her into a room and raped her.
Fitch is charged with rape and first degree assault.
Police say the second attack happened a short time later at the River Hills apartment on Mellwood Avenue when another 12-year-old victim was attacked by an unknown man as she was taking out the garbage.
