Greenville Shooting
A Greenville firefighter has turned himself in to face charges in a weekend shooting death. Robert Brown, 33, was charged with homicide in yesterday's death of LaumTrai Green, 22, also of Greenville. Police said Green was shot outside a Veterans of Foreign Wars post during a confrontation involving several people. Witnesses told police that Green was involved in a fight inside the VFW post during which he and two other men allegedly struck Brown's brother, Quinton Brown, with beer bottles. Assistant Police Chief Laverne Simpson said Robert Brown learned of the incident and went to the post looking for those responsible. Laumtrai Brown died late last night at Delta Regio
