Coach Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Charge

A Xenia basketball coach accused of raping one of his players faced a Greene County Judge on Thursday. Forty-year-old Steven Moody pled not guilty to the rape and gross sexual imposition.

Xenia police say the local Amateur Athletic Union coach gave alcohol to one of his 17-year-old players and then sexually assaulted her during a sleep over at his home.

Moody will remain free on a $10,000 dollar bond. His trial date has been set for October 26.
