Negro and 'Spanic' youths gang-rape 12-year-old girl

June 8, 2007) - Two teens have been charged with the rape of a 12-year-old girl from Virginia over the Memorial Day weekend in New Windsor.
Authorities say Victor Quijada of New Windsor and Antoine Gaskins of Newburgh were charged as adults with first-degree rape, a felony, in the assault in an apartment at Squire Village. Police say the victim is the half-sister of the woman who lives in the apartment. The boys are reportedly friends of the woman's 15-year-old daughter.
Officials say the two boys were left alone with the victim and attacked her during a Memorial Day weekend visit.
They say she did not report the attack until she was back home, when she sent an E-mail to a friend, who notified a school guidance counselor. The counselor in turn notifed police in Prince William County, Virginia.
Quijada was released on $1,000 bail, while Gaskins remains in Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Both are due to appear in New Windsor Town Court on Tuesday.
New Windsor Police Chief Michael Biasotti said the investigation is still open and more charges might be filed.
