Little information was available on Monday afternoon about a possible hate-crime related vandalism to a van belonging to a Napa elementary school employee.
Two graffiti vandalisms were reported to police early Monday morning, Napa Police Sgt. Gil Gallegos said.
The first vandalism was at Shearer Elementary School. Graffiti was spray painted at the school, Gallegos said. A short time later, an employee of Shearer who lives down the street from the school reported to police her van was spray painted with anti-Jewish statements, Gallegos said.
Both vandalisms happened either late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
"We will
be investigating the crimes," Gallegos said. "At this point, we don't know positively if they are related."
