NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. -- A Neptune Beach minister has been charged with offering to pay for sex with an undercover officer posing as a prostitute.

The Rev. Gerald Boston was driving a church-owned van when he was taken into custody. He has been released on his own recognizance from the Duval County jail.

Boston directs a prison ministry program at the Beaches Chapel Church. He helps ex-felons find housing after their release from the faith-based program at Lawtey Correctional Institution.

Boston also directed youth programs at a Jacksonville YMCA for 10 years.
