Guns are exploding in popularity.

Despite the millions spent by anti-gun advocates to promote gun control, more and more Americans are now embracing their gun rights.

For one thing, many sheriffs in states that recently passed gun control laws have publicly announced they won’t enforce these unconstitutional laws.

Even the anti-gun governors of New York, Connecticut and Maryland are reluctant to suuport the very gun control laws they signed after facing intense backlash from voters.

“It seems they don’t want a political backlash,” Frank Miniter wrote for Forbes. “They don’t want journalists making martyrs out of otherwise law-abiding citizens who might be charged with felonies for doing what they’ve done all their lives.”

“This is where politics runs into reality.”

And not only is the public putting pressure on politicians but they are also outright refusing to obey gun control laws. Earlier this year, thousands of Connecticut gun owners refused to register their firearms and magazines to comply with a new gun control law.

Polls Reveal Immense Support for Second Amendment

Support for the Second Amendment is now at a 20 year high, according to a recent Pew Research Center poll. A PBS poll also found that Americans overwhelmingly favor gun rights over restrictions.

Additionally, a 2013 survey of police officers by the National Association of Chiefs of Police discovered that 86.8% believe “any law-abiding citizen [should] be able to purchase a firearm for sport and self-defense.”

And a survey of 15,000 police officers found that 90% believe that active shooter incidents would be less deadly if armed citizens were present.

“Breaking down the results, it’s important to note that 70 percent of respondents are field-level law enforcers — those who are face-to-face in the fight against violent crime on a daily basis — not office-bound, non-sworn administrators or perpetually-campaigning elected officials,” Doug Wyllie of PoliceOne.com wrote.

Gun Sales Soar

Gun sales exploded on Black Friday, with background checks surging over three times the daily average.

“Friday saw the highest number of background checks ever for a Black Friday, and second in history,” CNN reported. “The highest day on record was December 21, 2012, with more than 177,000 background checks.”

Overall, firearm sales have been increasing rapidly since 2010.

“All told, Americans appear to be buying guns at a much stronger pace than only a few years ago,” the NRA-ILA reported. “To paraphrase Mark Twain, gun control supporters’ rumors about the demise of gun ownership are greatly exaggerated.”

Arms industry: Gun buys up 95%, ammo 139%; Sales to blacks jump 58%

The gun industry has never seen anything like 2020, and the explosion in sales driven by the concerns over rising crime, protests, the coronavirus crisis, and the presidential election are expected to continue.

“Bottom line is that there has never been a sustained surge in firearm sales quite like what we are in the midst of,” the National Shooting Sports Foundation, an industry trade group, said in a report shared with Secrets.

New sales and customer data collected from gun stores are even more shocking than the latest historic level of FBI background checks for purchases, security clearances, and concealed carry permits.

RetailerSalesSurvey.png
According to NSSF, purchases of guns have nearly doubled in the first six months of 2020 when compared to the same period last year. What’s more, ammo sales have surged 139%.

Thick blue line: Surge in support for police, just 2 in 10 back ‘defund’ scheme

The evidence is everywhere. I recently went to a handful of Virginia gun stores and found shelves bare. One shop had only two old pistols on consignment. And the popular 9mm ammo is nearly impossible to find. A reloading store in Winchester, Virginia, didn’t even have 9mm bullets.

“Approximately 90 percent of retailers reported an increase in firearm and ammunition sales during the first half of 2020 versus the first half of 2019,” said the report.

Sales, meanwhile, aren’t just to the traditional customer base of white males. The report said that the surge is among others, especially blacks, Asians, and Hispanics.

“The highest overall firearm sales increase comes from black men and women who show a 58.2% increase in purchases during the first six months of 2020 versus the same period last year,” said the report.

Guns rock, UnConstitutional federal/state/city gun laws suck! We need guns more than ever. ZOG is getting more and more dangerous every day. They brought the covid-19 to the nations to further enslave them. They cause the problem and then trot out the "solution" to their caused problems.

July Gun Sales Reportedly Set Massive Record, 5th Month in a Row of Monster Numbers

 Women System  August 05, 2020

Americans reportedly exercised their Second Amendment right to buy and own firearms in record numbers for the fifth straight month in July.

It’s a silver lining during a challenging year, one which has seen civil liberties challenged by elected officials and the personal safety of law-abiding citizens thrown into doubt as leftist politicians have fanned the flames of division across the country.

In March, early on in the coronavirus pandemic, Americans responded by buying firearms in record numbers.

For that month, 3,740,688 background checks were conducted by the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, which was first implemented in 1998.

That record didn’t hold for long. In June, a month which saw nationwide riots, the bureau conducted 3,931,607 background checks, which was a 70 percent increase from the same month in 2019.

In July, the surge in firearm sales and background check inquiries continued as Americans rushed to exercise a right which has been challenged by the rhetoric of Democrats for decades.

The FBI announced that in July, 3,639,224 NICS background checks were conducted by the bureau.

For comparison, that’s up significantly from the 2,030,661 background checks conducted in July 2019.

In fact, prior to last month, the previous July record for NICS background checks occurred in 2016, when the FBI ran 2,197,169 checks.

While background checks do not always necessarily translate into gun sales, last month reportedly did see a record number of guns sold when compared to previous months of July.

“July 2020 saw an estimated 1,795,602 gun sales — a new record and an increase of 133 percent over July 2019, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis of FBI data. July is the fifth consecutive month to set a gun-sales record,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Some estimated pegged the number of guns sold last month to be even more than 1.7 million. According to Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting, which tracks gun sales and background check information, for July, all those background checks resulted in 2 million additional guns legally in the hands of Americans.

As a case in point, the Free Beacon reported on the scope of Ruger’s success amid a sudden frenzy to buy firearms.

“Sturm, Ruger & Company announced in its quarterly earnings call on Thursday that net sales had moved from $210,367,000 in the first six months of 2019 to $253,903,000 during the same period in 2020. That equated to diluted earnings per share of $1.06 in 2020 compared with $.36 in 2019 — a threefold increase,” according to the Free Beacon.

Undeterred by reported shortages, Americans are recognizing the importance of the Second Amendment, and they’re arming themselves.

In my little corner of the world in urban Oklahoma, the dozens of gun shops I visited in July were short on both guns and ammunition.

On July 30, I visited a popular big box sporting goods retailer.

I noted a total of five .22 LR caliber rifles for sale, one .410 shotgun in stock and two small caliber handguns underneath the glass.

There were a mere four boxes of .30 Carbine ammunition on shelf and a limited number of gun cleaning kits.

“No 9mm in stock,” I heard a man behind the gun counter tell a disappointed woman.

Ammunition for the AR-15 platform rifles, .223/5.56, was unavailable at every location I visited.

But despite shortages in my corner of the world, others fared far better in arming themselves, as the numbers for July indicate.

CNN reported the number of background checks particularly surged in the states of Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, Florida and California.

Citing data from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Fox News reported that 2.5 million Americans have purchased firearms for the first time in their lives in 2020.

Many of those first-time buyers have also signed up for training classes in order to learn to safely use their weapons.

The sudden interest in the Second Amendment is a profoundly American reaction to a series of un-American problems.

Amid challenges to their liberty and an inundation of anti-police rhetoric, Americans are turning inward for answers to a perceived deficit in law and order, taking ownership of their safety by designating themselves as their own protectors.

In a perfect world, none of the country’s recent and historic issues would have occurred.

But faced with the reality that individual liberty and safety are in question, information from the FBI and SAAF indicates that Americans are taking measures to exercise their rights, and many of them are doing it safely.

It could be an indicator of things to come in November.

The country is facing an election which will match President Donald Trump against a big-government, pro-gun control Democrat in former Vice President Joe Biden.

It’s hard to imagine that record numbers of individuals purchasing firearms intend to vote for the party of defunding police departments and leaving families and business owners to fend for themselves.

The election has essentially become a binary choice between safety, liberty and law and order, versus leftist mob rule.

Five months of record gun sales are a strong signal that polls which purport to show Biden leading Trump by wide margins might be off the mark.

The RealClearPolitics national polling average currently favors Biden by 7.4 percentage points.

But a Rasmussen poll released Monday showed 51 percent of likely voters approve of the job Trump is doing, despite recent hurdles.

The sudden and continued interest in purchasing firearms, especially by first-time buyers, could be more evidence that Trump is faring far better than pollsters would have you believe.

What is really needed is for all gun laws (all UnConstitutional!) to be rolled back! Bring back the 2nd Amendment, yesterday!

Concealed Carry Permit Holders Grows Seven-fold in 20 Years, Still Rising

By PatriotRising -

concealed carry
A new report shows the number of concealed carry permit applications is rising, even despite some states limiting Second Amendment rights during recent pandemic shutdowns. The number of permit holders for concealed firearms is nearly 20 million, according to a Washington Examiner report.

Since 1999, the number of concealed handgun permit holders has grown by at least seven-fold. The trend is continuing. That follows news that background checks for firearm sales topped 15.4 million so far this year, surpassing 2019’s totals and poised to eclipse the 2016 record of 15.7 million background checks in a single year. Forty percent of those buyers, almost 6.2 million, are first time buyers.

Twenty Year Trend

Record-setting gun sales have been the story of 2020. The surge in sales has also revealed a diversifying gun-owning population in America, with women and minorities comprising large percentages of buyers. Firearm retailer survey data show handgun purchases were by far the most common among buyers, and reasons of personal protection drove sales across all categories of firearms.

“I’ve seen a lot more single moms that are scared and need something to protect them,” said Dave Amon of Gunstop of Minnetonka, Minn. “They’re scared when people talk about defunding the police.”

This isn’t surprising given rioting, looting, and violence on the nightly news. Add to this backdrop criminals being released from jails and growing calls to “defund the police” and Americans are remedying their legitimate concerns by taking responsibility for their own safety.

The trend of an increasingly diverse gun buyer is mirrored in those obtaining concealed carry permits. “Permits for women and minorities continue to increase at a much faster rate than for either men or whites,” said John Lott, of the Crime Research Prevention Center, which tracks concealed carry permit applications.

That’s hardly new, though. The CPRC study shows nearly 20 million Americans today possess a concealed carry permit. That amounts to a more than seven-fold increase in permit carriers since 1999 when there were 2.7 million.

Raising Barriers

Some states used coronavirus pandemic shutdown orders as an excuse to pump the brakes on processing concealed carry permit applications. That’s evident in the dip in year-to-year examinations of permits. So far, 800,000 Americans have obtained their concealed carry permits in 2020, notably less than totals in 2019 and 2018, 1.4 million, and 890,000, respectively.

Contributing to the reduction in permit application growth is the fact that thirteen states ceased processing concealed carry applications altogether for a period of time. Those states included Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington. In Pennsylvania, the backlog in permit processing has led to lawsuits.

A lawsuit was filed against the Philadelphia Police Department for requiring concealed carry permit applicants to wait up to 18 months. Pennsylvania law states municipalities must process applications within 45 days, and neighboring Bucks County is processing applications without delay, even with COVID circumstances.

Removing Barriers

This makes it all that much more important that Congress take action on the NSSF-backed Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, H.R. 38, introduced by U.S. Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) and S. 69, by U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas). These bills eliminate the pitfalls 20 million Americans must navigate around when traveling from state-to-state. The legislation would allow handgun owners who are legally permitted and authorized in and by their home state to carry a concealed firearm in other states they must comply with the laws of each state. Constitutional rights don’t end at a state’s borders and legal barriers to lawful self-protection shouldn’t either.

John Lott is very good, but he refuses to recognize criminal black on white killings & general blacks' gun crimes, or those caused by psych drugs, the fluorine based antidepressants known for suicidal ideation (Prozac, esp at Columbine)
I've repeatedly and respectfully brought it up for 5 years. At his website he deletes carefully worded comments that mention blacks, hispanics, mental illnesses or drugs.

Yep; people USA wide are untouched by black violence & murders.

Study: New Gun Ownership Is Soaring In One Of The Bluest States In The U.S.

6 hrs ago- 2 minute Read 2 Comments

Nearly half of the more than 100,000 Californians who have bought a gun since mid-March are first-time gun owners, according to a study released earlier this month.

Researchers at the University of California released a study on October 6 showing that 47,000 of the 110,000 people who purchased a firearm since widespread state lockdowns began in March are first-time buyers. The Washington Free Beacon first reported the results of the study on Friday.

The study’s authors analyzed data from the California Safety and Wellbeing Survey, an internet survey of 2,870 adults in California conducted from July 14-27, and weighted the data to be representative of the state population.

The researchers found that “the most common reason given for firearm acquisition in response to the pandemic was worry about lawlessness …, followed by worry about prisoner releases …, the government going too far …, government collapse …, and gun stores closing,” according to the study. “Reasons for ammunition purchases in response to the pandemic were similar.”

The data in California follow similar trends being played out across the United States. The onset of the pandemic partnered with widespread social unrest and violence has pushed thousands of people who have never before owned a gun to push through sometimes extensive government red tape in order to purchase one.

Surging gun ownership brought on by the pandemic and mass protests may have political ramifications for decades as thousands more Americans begin to exercise their Second Amendment rights.

A surge in gun purchases is being fueled by the rush of first-time buyers. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, a gun industry trade group, found that gun sellers estimated that 40% of new firearm purchases went to new gun owners during the first four months of the year.

The record number of gun purchases has led to a national backlog in demand for ammunition. Ammo Incorporated, an ammo manufacturer based in Scottsdale, Arizona, is currently in the middle of a backlog worth about $80 million.

“We’re working right now seven days a week, 24 hours a day in all the manufacturing plants,” Ammo Incorporated’s CEO said earlier this month.

As The Daily Wire reported:

Ammo Incorporated’s CEO suggests that, initially, gun and ammunition purchases increased because of the coronavirus lockdowns. Fearing that help may not be on the way and that emergency services could be otherwise occupied, Americans armed themselves and stockpiled extra ammunition in case it became unavailable. National unrest, though, has given rise to further security concerns, and the many anti-racism and anti-police protests that have given way to violence and looting have driven gun owners to purchase additional weapons and ammunition.

“The start was the pandemic that was going on. But there was always that fear of the election. Of who’s going to be elected of the next President of the United States,” he told media. “But thirdly, I think the unrest in this country right now. And as you’ve seen in a lot of cities, the looting and the burning, and I think people are just scared.”

Many new gun owners have previously never contemplated owning a gun before and have been angered at the paperwork some have to navigate in order to purchase one. One California gun retailer said many of his customers were “shocked” at the regulations standing between a new gun owner and their firearm.

Preparing For The Worst: People Are Buying More Guns, At A Faster Pace Than At Any Time In History

Newly released background check data from January shows Americans are buying guns at a “blistering pace,” a firearms expert confirmed.

“That’s undoubtedly connected to President Joe Biden’s plans to attack the firearm industry by undoing and rewriting regulations and executive actions to target the firearm industry,” Mark Olivia, director of public affairs at the National Shooting Sports Foundation, said in a statement.

Olivia pointed to the Biden administration freezing the publication of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s “Fair Access” banking rule, and promises to try and repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act to tighten restrictions on gun licenses, and to ban AR-15 style rifles.

The White House has yet to respond to a request for comment.

According to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check (NCIS) data, 4.3 million firearm background checks were initiated in January alone. Bringing it to the highest number on record, and up over 300,000 in comparison to December 2020. Three of the top 10 highest weeks are now from January 2021.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation’s adjusted background check figure of 2 million, reached by subtracting out background code permit checks and permit rechecks and checks on active concealed carry permits, was a jump from its adjusted figure of 1.1 million in January 2020.

“These are jaw-dropping figures to start the New Year. Americans are claiming their Second Amendment rights to provide for their own safety in record numbers,” Olivia proclaimed.

Jurgen Brauer, the chief economist for Small Arms Analytics, said in a statement that the new year “certainly started off with a sales ‘bang’ due to the turmoil surrounding the confirmation and inauguration of Mr. Biden as the new U.S. president.”

“The 79 percent year-over-year increase, however, was NOT unprecedented—an even higher increase, of just over 100 percent, was experienced in January 2013, the month Mr. Obama’s second presidential term began,” he then added.

Everytown for Gun Safety said the continued increase in background checks highlights the need for Congress and Biden to implement gun restrictions.

“As the country reels from multiple crises, the gun industry has cashed in with record sales that have made Americans less safe,” Nick Suplina, managing director of law and policy for the group, said in a statement.

“Without swift changes in policy, our already devastating gun violence epidemic could get even deadlier. The good news, though, is that we finally have leaders in the White House and in both chambers of Congress who recognize that this crisis demands action.”

At a news conference on January 7th, President-elect Joe Biden announced he will nominate U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit Judge Merrick Garland for Attorney General. Biden’s choice of a noted Second Amendment opponent to lead the Department of Justice is an overt assault on gun rights and gun owners.

Given his long history of hostility towards the Second Amendment and gun owners, Judge Garland is seemingly the wrong choice to lead the Department of Justice.

Gun Sales Reach New Highs in 2020 Especially Among African Americans

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), Project ChildSafe, and the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) are responding to record high gun sales in 2020, particularly among African Americans and first-time gun buyers, by providing free educational resources and tips on firearm safety and responsible storage for all new gun owners.

According to data from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), 21 million background checks related to the sale of a firearm were conducted in 2020—a 60 percent increase over the previous year.

“NSSF estimates that 40 percent of those gun sales were for first-time gun buyers, totaling 8.4 million new gun owners in the United States in 2020,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF President and CEO. “That kind of growth validates the relevance and importance of the Second Amendment but also speaks to an increasing need for firearm safety education. As a community of firearm owners, we all have a responsibility to use, transport, and store firearms safely, and NSSF is committed to getting this information in the hands of all our newest community members.”

Firearm ownership is also increasingly diverse as sales among women accounted for 40 percent of all sales, and purchases by African Americans increased by 56 percent compared to 2019.

“We’ve seen a trend of more African Americans choosing to express their Second Amendment rights to own a firearm, especially for personal protection,” said Philip Smith, President, and founder of NAAGA. “Purchasing a firearm is one step to protecting your family, but it also means safely storing your gun away from children, so they don’t hurt themselves.”

Programs like NSSF’s Project ChildSafe are addressing this growing demand for firearm safety education by providing gun owners with the resources needed to keep safe storage practices top of mind and to help teach this information. These include:

• ◦A Safe Storage Options Infographic showcasing various methods of safe storage.
◦An interactive Road to Responsible Gun Ownership tool to help ensure potential gun buyers think about safety and storage even before they commit to making a purchase.
◦An interactive Buying Your First Gun Infographic.
◦A Firearm Storage And Safety Assessment Quiz to help ensure firearms and be safely stored in the home.
◦A video for parents on How to Talk to Kids about gun safety.
◦A fact sheet with Ten Tips For Firearm Safety In Your Home.

“As parents, we all have ‘the talk’ with our kids about things like drugs, sex, and making good decisions,” Smith says. “Talking about gun safety and responsibility is just as important, even if you don’t own a gun.”

The Red-pilled people know what's coming--Bidet Biden (and Heels-up Harris) are planning a massive confiscation of guns and many people are going to resist it no matter what. MOLON LABE!
