PONCHATOULA, La. – One man that was recently arrested in connection with a stabbing at the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival was arrested, along with a second suspect, for vandalizing a church, according Chief Bry Layrisson.
Kevin Spurlock, 19, who was arrested for the stabbing, and Johnny Harris, 22, both of Ponchatoula, were arrested for stolen computer equipment and spray painting vulgar language on the gym floor and Sunday school rooms of the First Baptist Church on Pine Street, police said.
Police said Spurlock has been arrested six times since January[/colo
r] – including the Strawberry Fest stabbing – and he was out on bond when arrested for the church incident.
