Jennifer Hawkins has revealed her tips for the ultimate bikini body

July 21, 2011

HERE'S one way to shake those winter blues - Jennifer Hawkins has revealed her tips for the ultimate bikini body.
The blonde beauty says no booze, regular boxing and Pilates classes, a salt-free diet and plenty of water are the keys to making a splash in swimwear this summer.
Hawkins displayed the results of her discipline and hard work while shooting her new Cozi by Jennifer Hawkins bikini collection on a remote West Australian beach.
The former Miss Universe designs the label, which is stocked by Myer.
Hawkins said she tweaked her regular diet and exercise regime to get bikini-ready.
"I laid off alcohol for three weeks and I feel good for that," she said.
"I always am quite healthy but I like to have a glass of wine every now and again.
"I have a new (personal) trainer, so that has been really fun to do something different. I've been boxing and doing weight training and doing lots of repetitions. I've also been doing yoga and Pilates."
Hawkins said she put extra emphasis on toning her mid-section before the shoot.
"I amp up work on my core section. I definitely make sure I do a lot of ab (abdominal) work and I lay off salt," she said. "You have just got to think about what you eat and be sensible.
"People say no carbs, but I say low carbs. I find my energy levels are really bad (with no carbs).
"And drinking water, so much water, that is the key to good skin."
Hawkins said she was thrilled with her latest Cozi collection.
"The fits are amazing this season, you want to feel like you don't have a swimsuit on," she said.
"And I really love the prints."
Hawkins this week returned from New York, where she was on the hunt for a wedding gown.
She and her fiance Jake Wall plan to tie the knot early next year.
