JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Forty-eight people were arrested during two fentanyl operations conducted in January and February, the Attorney General’s Office says.
Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced Monday the completion of the two operations conducted by the Attorney General’s Fentanyl Strike Force.
During one of the operations, officers seized 2 pill presses, approximately 76,000 pills, 114 pounds of powder, and 12 guns.
Both the powder and pills tested positive for fentanyl.
“We are committed to building a network of law enforcement across the state with the tools and knowledge to identify and handle fentanyl and remove drug-pushing criminals from our communities,” said Attorney General Lynn Fitch.
