A 19-YEAR-old Gold Coast woman is in custody following an incident when a man was fatally run-over following a domestic argument early today.

Preliminary investigations by police reveal that shortly before 1am there was an argument between a man and a woman at the front of a residence in Zipfs Road, Alberton.

During the disturbance it is alleged the man was struck by a car being driven by the woman.

The vehicle left the scene and was intercepted by police at Varsity Lakes, a nearby suburb, a short time later.

A 19-year-old woman has been charged with drink driving and disqualified driving. She is expected to face Southport Court on July 28, 2011 in relation to these charges.
