Philadelphia police say the nephew of former Mayor Wilson Goode Sr. faces numerous charges after he allegedly imprisoned and sexually assaulted a woman in West Philadelphia.

Police said the incident involving James Goode (above), 46, of West Stiles Street happened at 2 a.m. Tuesday at Goode's residence.
Police officials also confirmed to NBC 10 that James Goode was Wilson Goode Sr.'s nephew.
Officials said the 39-year-old a
lleged victim said that she was visiting Goode when he tied her to a chair, and also restrained her by placing an extension cord and a dog leash around her neck.
The alleged victim then said that Goode began to physically and sexually assault her with a hammer, but she was able to escape through a window that led to the roof of the property and began to yell for help.
Responding police officers found the alleged victim on the roof unclothed, with the dog chain and extension cord around her neck, officials said.
She was transported to Jefferson Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
Goode has been arrested and will be charged wi
th aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and aggravated assault.
Wilson Goode Sr. was elected Mayor in 1983 and served from 1984 to 1992. His son, Wilson Goode Jr., currently serves on Philadelphia's city council.
