Minister Facing Charges Involving Teens
Bishop Ronald E. Brown was charged Wednesday with committing lewd acts on two teens.
Specifically, he faces four counts of lewd acts on a minor, four counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, disseminating obscene material to a minor and one count of simple assault and battery.
A little over three weeks ago the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety first listened to claims against Bishop Ronald Brown brought by
two boys, one 14 year old and the other 17.
Chief Wendell Davis says his department was very careful, "Anytime you have allegations such as th
is you want to be very thorough don't want frivolous allegations about anybody."
The incident report claims the
boys were touched inappropriately while staying at Brown's home and one claims to have been hit in the head by Brown while trying to leave. After investigating a judge said there was enough evidence to file charges.
