Columbia Man Charged with Murdering Wife
(Columbia) A Columbia man is in custody, charged with shooting and killing his estranged wife in a parking lot on Friday evening.
Police say 45-year-old Jamesinia Perry was approached by her husband outside the Rutledge Forest Apartments on Ardincaple Drive around 6:30 pm Friday. Authorities say the suspect, 51-year-old Donald Ray Perry, pulled a gun and fired at least one shot into his wife's chest.
Donald Perry is believed to have fled the scene in a blue and white 1984 truck which was parked nearby.
The victim was transported Palmetto Health Richland where she was p
ronounced dead.
Perry has been charged with Murder. He is in custody at the Richland County J
ail awaiting a bond hearing.
